    Thanks Adeola, I think you should give the present Govt kudos for taking the the bull of subsidy removal by the horns, although they do not have a choice, they have come to the end of the road on this, there is no budgetary allocation for this. It is past due for Nigeria to look at diversification to other sources of power supply.

    It's Catch 22 for Nigeria, Dangote's production will not be any cheaper, maybe only marginally, because the CODB for Nigeria is so high that basic industrial production costs are not competitive, due primarily to the power production issue. Until we stabilize and increase power production, most of our industrial output will always be higher than average.

    • @temidayotitilola6688
      @temidayotitilola6688 Рік тому +3

      In my opinion, the prayer we have been uttering since our nation achieved independence should serve as a sufficient catalyst for our people to begin embracing responsible behavior. Our predicament does not solely lie with the government but with us, the individuals comprising the nation. We must be authentic with ourselves. It is futile to expect any leader to rescue us if we are not prepared to take action. Each sector must prioritize doing what is morally correct.

    Your analysis of the fuel subsidy removal situation is more than accurate. They decided to take average and ordinary people which forms majority of the population without considering how it will affect masses. How can one decide to jump without preparing for soft landing. Let's wait and see in one or two months how it will affect living standards of ordinary people.
