She didn't do it for you. She did it for herself. People don't have children for the the children's sake. You can't do anything for someone who doesn't exist. People have children for their own satisfaction. Don't feel bad or like you owe her for this. You don't.
@@bigawesomewatermelon9511 I agree completely
@@bigawesomewatermelon9511 I somewhat disagree. I am currently 6 months pregnant and I am doing it for my son. I’m doing it so he can have the opportunity at life, to experience happiness, have his own goals, dreams, etc. now of course he doesn’t owe me for giving him life and he shouldn’t feel bad for any of the pain I may go through to bring him here because that I am willingly going to go through for him.
@@denabeana1233 Sure, you've started doing it for him by now, but how did you get to this point? You wanted a baby. You did it for yourself, because you wanted a baby.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's perfectly fine to want a baby. But understand why.
I saw some one use a Ben and Jerry's pint to represent 10cm and now I just can't with anything anymore 😭😂
YES! Or a 🥯 bagel!

When the nurse checked my cervix she shamed me because a big blob of the mucus plug came away at the same time. Made a comment that it was disgusting. She was all prepared to send me home again but I’d reached 6cm dilated. She wasn’t the only d head medical staff member I encountered, of course there were nice ones too. I will never forget though, those mortifying moments when I saw someone taking pleasure in putting me down. When I was in fking labour and being polite myself.
What??? She needs to find a new job. I’m so sorry that happened
Omg that's terrible 😔 that lady is an idiot. It's my first pregnancy and I am so nervous
@@lillybear801 it will be lovely. And if things are going sideways and you don’t feel respected make sure you speak up or have a strong support person with a voice by your side!
She needs to be in a different profession. I'm pretty sure I pooped while pushing. No one said a word. Just a quick wipe and take away. Gross stuff is common during labor.
@@peculiari5795 haha, I have a short about this up. We do anything to keep you from knowing about the 💩
I only dilated 3 cm after 48 hours with my son. I remember nurse checking me during a contraction. I begged her to wait until it passed. She absolutely didn't. She made my MIL and my mom hold my legs by my ears then shoved her fingers in so roughly. I started crying and my mom almost jumped over the bed to slap that lady. Wound up having to have an emergency c section. Then when we had my daughter I just scheduled a c section. She refused to come out. I had 3 people holding me open while the doc had the vacuum on her head and literally ripped her out of me. I actually thought I was going to die during her c section. They used a nerve block instead of an epidural and I threw up the entire day. Since I didn't eat or drink anything prior it was just stomach acid. I was in the middle of getting sick and couldnt breathe. Luckily the anesthesiologist noticed and propped me up as much a she could.
That's horrible. Hope you're ok
@@CountYourAssets Oh yeah I'm good this was years ago

Never really thought about it and now to see that after having children... Wow 😂😂 women are amazing, even if you cannot give birth, you are amazing too ♥️
It’s so interesting to see it hey?
When I was in labor with my son my body wasn't cooperating, my water broke and I was having contractions but I wasn't dilating like I should have been at that point. A doctor came in to check my progress and it felt like she shoved a sharp blade inside me and twisted it. I screamed so loud and was sobbing, the doctor just walked away like it was nothing but a nurse came running in to see what happened and I told her what she did then my exact words were "if that bitch comes near me again I'm kicking her in the face". Which is pretty out of character for me, I'm usually super respectful and understanding. The nurse reassured me and told me it should have not been that painful so the doctor must have done something wrong. I didn't see that doctor again the entire time I was in the hospital.
Mine was painful like this but the doctor, who was very experienced, stopped when I screamed and refused to do any more cervix exams on me. We just guessed after that point. Apparently it may have had something to do with the fact I was labouring posterior, meaning my baby was facing up toward my belly instead of down toward my spine. It gave me a lot of back pain during labour. I’ve had 5 births and 4 of my labours were posterior. They all turned during transition for anterior (facing down) birth, which was nice because posterior birth can be more painful and lead to more tearing. I did that to my mum (sorry mum). Anyway, just thought I’d mention that might have been a factor. Fwiw, I didn’t have any cervical exams for births 2-5. There are other ways to tell how far along you are. They are actually pretty unnecessary in an uncomplicated pregnancy if the midwives and mother are good at knowing what other signs to look for.
Thank you for calling 6cm active!!! Nice to see good medical info online
Incredible, the only organ in the body that can stretch that much.
It’s wild!

Wow I pushed out a whole human 6 weeks ago through a hole so small 🤯😩 we are majestic 🦄
One thing should be added that unless having contractions/cramping dilation means absolutely nothing. If you have had 3 or more children you can be 4 cm and not even in labor. This is why cervical check should only happen when in active labor it gets mom all hyped or frustrated. You can be 1 cm and be in labor or you can be 2 cm and carry your baby until 40/41 wks.
I was 7cm dilated and not in labor, with my 3rd!
Yeah I was at 2 cm for days without any contractions before labor started. It was my first baby and I wasn’t quite sure why I had already dilated but I got all excited thinking the baby would come that day I got home from my doctor’s visit. I want to avoid so many checks because it did get me frustrated to see I was still at 2.5 like 4 days later
There is a reason I will be asking for the nurse with the tiniest hands .... That right there is why my doctor also has small hands. And small forearms 🤣🤣🤣

My regular OB wasn't on call when I delivered my second and the Dr was a man with gigantic hands and it hurt so bad 🙃 especially because he literally had to shove his whole hand into my uterus to check for placenta fragments

My nurse was very rude and kept saying that it is the worst labor she is seeing and I am not pushing in the right way and just kept degrading. I still have chills of that pain and her rudeness like I am doing something wrong
What a horrible thing to say to a woman in labor!!! I’m so sorry you had this experience, I’m angry for you.
I had a horrible nurse as well. She kept checking and scraping which was so painful while in labor. My legs were shaking, just a horrible nurse with a bad attitude. Plus I couldn’t understand her due to the language barrier since I was in Germany at the time. Ended up having an emergency c section. The anesthesiologist was extremely rude, my first experience was absolutely horrible! Now im blessed with the most amazing son😍
My daughter is 4 months now I still remember that pain bcz I was not dilated enough for normal delivery 😢 my water broke at 39week of my pregnancy but I was not feeling any kind of labour pain they give me injections for pain I was in 18 hr labour pain and I was so tired to push 😭😭the hospital staff was not nice enough and I was alone bcz my husband was not with me too
My baby girl head was big and doctor suggested for c section but my baby’s heart beat was fine and my mother did not wanted c section for me she wanted normal delivery so I ended up with normal delivery but with so many stitches the doctor didn’t told me how many stitches I had 😭😭 I still feel the lil pain when I go in toilet
My baby girl is healthy that’s the best thing 😊 but I’m never going for a normal delivery next time I can’t handle the pain 😭
Sorry for bad English 😊
Your English is good sister ,nd listen apki second delivery bahut smooth hogi don't worry😂
No one could reach my cervix the first time. They found 2 docs with long fingers so they would come check me. After 2 days they broke my water and it came down and was easy. Still had to have a csection. Baby was just too big and I found out I had a small pelvis. 2nd birth I labored at home for 8 hours, went in and went from fingertip to 10 in 45 minutes and ended up with an emergency csection. Thankfully I had amazing staff that supported me so beautifully in the hospital.
I'm glad they tried to find smo with long fingers. 😢
my face while watching this made me look like I ate something sour as hell 😭
and the worst part is, some heads are still bigger than this, so it gets stretched out even further!
Haha! There are big heads but it can’t get much bigger!! What can happen though is babys head molds to fit through
my mom had two cesarean sections and almost died from giving birth to me ! uterus owners are the strongest mfs out here !!!!
Uterus owners? Women. Adult, human females.
@@maryannebrown2385 there's plenty of people born intersex (mix matched parts) but you probably didn't learn that in your science class from the 40s.
@@wompppwompwomppp There are NOT plenty of people born intersex. The incident of intersex people is 0.017% of the population. And in each of those cases that person is either male or female, despite ambiguous genitalia.

Twice for me too. Second labor took 1/2 the time, phew!
This is amazing to see!
5-8cm looks like a bit of guesswork 😂
Haha if I'm honest its really all subjective. Between 3 and 9 we know you're in some kind of labor. I need to know you're more than 3 and then I need to know when you're 10!
One of my odd memories of my early teen years learning the intricacies of the female reproductive system, was asking my mom or sister what “10cm dilated” was while we watched tv. My father, who never pays attention to anything, quickly said “about 4 grown man’s fingers”. Looking back, I don’t know if he was being funny, or if he misunderstood and was answering the best a father of 6 could.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thats the sort of comeback and quick wit my daughter would receive from her dad lmao

I gave birth almost three and a half months ago. I had such a romantic outlook on childbirth, but once the pains kicked in, oh my God. I was induced, but then my pains kicked in and it was so intense. I had to remind myself to breathe and I had an oxygen mask on. It's hard, but at the end you have your baby and it is all worth it. It MOSTLY goes back. Though the texture might not be the same. And you might be a tough dilated after but nothing substantial
Your body is made to give birth.
The cervix cannot stay wide, it’s layers of tissues NOT a hole, the only time it opens is during birth. Nothing can get through.
@@Lils_Jewellery but it can stay slightly different (fingertip or dimple) and also much softer in consistency than it was pre first baby. But correct not open!
@@mamanursetina is this the reason why most deliveries after the first child tend to go faster?
Just a reminder that cervical checks are completely optional! They increase your risk of infection and do not accurately predict how far along you are in labor or how soon baby will arrive.

crazy seeing it no matter how many times lol got to the hospital at 4-5cm to a 10 in an hour with both my babies
So amazing
This is why c sections are key, at least when you’re carrying more than one lol
I have a trauma now. I will never give birth ever
I don't know why I'm getting so many labor and delivery shorts but my factory has been closed for 3.5 years 🤔
My problem when I give birth is I go from barely dialated to baby is going down and out in minutes
And still not large enough at 10…
I went into hospital with my first and they checked and said 9cm dilated! I was so naive I didn't even know what it meant and asked when is the baby coming? The nurse said soon soon! But it took another two hours.
With my 4th I arrived at the hospital and got into the bed on my knees quickly, threw off my clothes. The midwife told me she will do a VC and I said no no I don't want it. She said sorry it is Hospital policy and went to check and said Oh, no it is ok, baby's head is crowning
Just entered into my 39th week of pregnancy and no symptoms of labours yet
I was at 5 1/2 for 2 weeks and 5 cm for 2 weeks before that. And I wasn’t in active labor. Had no pain or anything. No contractions. I had to be induced but I had a pretty crappy dr also so..
This makes my cervix hurt watching this

I wanted to have kids cause they're cute but now that I see how it actually works down there I'm thinking that if I adopt some kids they could be just as cute 😭
