WHAT GET? DUNKING NORTH SHORE MAY 2023, FISH CAM FOOTAGE

- Howzit, Beautiful day in Hawai'i Nei so took the family out to the North Side of Oahu. Set the poles out and launched the FISHCAM on one. Experimented with a homemade chum bottle to try see what types of fish come around. I didn't have to wait long. After the first launch you immediately see a lot of fish that was cruising around: Big Uhus(parrotfish), Nenues(rudderfish), Palanis and Pualus(both Surgeonfishes), of course a gammit of baitstealers also: Hinalea(rubbishfish..neh jus kidding they are Wrasses), Auriga Butterfly fish, Hagi(black triggerfish), kupipi(gray damsel fish). Then we also see a good size Omilu(bluefin trevally) come close to snatching the bait, and also a couple Mu(big eye emperor fish) show up. A Orange stripe Kala(unicorn fish) makes a quick cameo. Shout out to my wife for letting me fish! Mahalos for watching Oldcinco--wow you go waaaay back my friend..yeah a Waialua boy myself so sharks cove was a playground of mine growing up also-in fact we used to fish around the houses at 3 tables when we was young before DLNR made that area a reserve. Good concept! will keep an eye out for your videos! I like how you name the fishes. Setting up fishcam is very tricky (and risky too!), through trial and error until you get the right set up and technique - keep at it!
Thanks Bro-yeah it is very tricky working with the fishcam. I already lost 1 in the big island after something big took it in a cave-good thing I had a free replacement plan for that..🤙🏽

In my opinion I prefer you talking. I fish every week and strongly believe something is going on in our waters cause most of the time all I’m getting is Humu’s. Sometimes fresh shrimp will stay on my hook and get picked off only by small fish. The waters in Waianae, Ewa and Hauula looks cloudy. Looks like I gotta check out north side. I went to Kahuku side, nothing 😞
Howzit Pudgie-all I can say is “GET PLENNY FISH!!!” The fish cam don’t lie…That’s the challenge is setting up the right rigs, using the right bait-knowing what is the best times to go-when do the fish feed the most, how the tide and moon cycles affect fish feeding patterns, putting the bait on the right way…get so many variables that affect if you gonna catch or not-and then there’s the ultimate variable:LUCK!! 🤣-So I felt just like you did and that was a main reason I started the channel to help all da lawai’a-help peeps see what the fish is doing to my rigs…Don’t be discouraged-if anything the worst day fishing on da beach in Hawai’i is better than best day doing anything anywhere else!
