Another great review! I’ve been considering the Studio 4 as an upgrade to my Chopin in the future, and since you also mentioned the Studio 4, do you prefer the Hype 4 to the Studio 4? How would you compare them?
Studio4 is a bit brighter and significantly less bassy than the Hype 4. Similar strength of imaging, a bit better in texturing, but a bit thinner overall. TBH purely on sound, I like Chopin better than both.
@@SuperReview Thanks for the response! Interesting that you prefer the Chopin! I think the Chopin is great for all-around listening, but for me the soundstage could be a bit bigger and the treble a bit less aggressive maybe. I had the performer 8 and now the hype 4. The performer 8 has is a bit more revealing with details, much lighter on the bass, slightly more relaxed in the upper mids, but a touch more zingy in the treble. The Hype 4 had an almost subwoofer like bass, fuller mid bass and lower mids, slightly more forward upper mids. Performer 8 is fairly flat, hype 4 is I guess a mild v shaped signature. I much prefer the Hype 4, for me it's more exciting and engaging. I enjoyed the performer 8 but always missed some bass. Fit wise they are very close, both very comfortable, stable and isolate very nicely.
Very different sound vs. the Meteor -- Meteor is a dense, warm bassy sound, while the Hype 4 is a somewhat thin, wide bassy side. If you're looking for instrument separation, Hype has a clear advantage. If you're looking for a more relaxed, enveloping listen, the Meteor is the way.
Thanks so much for the review! Specially for talking about comfort (that is as important to me as sound). Do you think that compared to Hype2, the Hype4 is more open, spacious? Or the extra sub bass make it more close? And do you perceive a significant difference in vocals? I saw some people describing the Hype2 as more V-shaped while the Hype4 would be more U-shaped.
I'm taking your suggestions into consideration. I can't decide between PULA PA02 and HYPE 4. My goal is to listen to music and play games. I will use it in my live broadcasts on Twitch. Which one do you think would be more suitable for me?

Will Studio 4 be a good upgrade to Hype 2 in terms of vocals, I really like how they sound just that the vocals are not as full or rich as I like them to be. Or something like the origin can fill that gap at a lower price.
intetesting your comment about Hype2 bass being soft. I actually found the sub-bass overdone, and the midbass underdone. So I simply EQ the 32 and 64 down 1.4db, and increase 250Hz by 2db. B/c of the 250Hz uplift, I increase 2k by 2db to balance everything.

Honestly I just got these. I watched almost all the reviews there are of them and no one’s said anything how they don’t seat properly once you plug them in there’s like a millimeter or two there still that also makes them real easy to unplug them. Another thing every review I watched of them the box is full when unboxing idk if it’s a new thing but they no longer come with the headphone case and silicone ear piece for the headphones. To be honest just for these reasons they’ll probably be returned I personally couldn’t recommend these to anyone. the plug not seating properly into any 3.5mm is my biggest concern with them doesn’t feel like 400$ when it doesn’t go in all the way
@ That’s what I thought, imagine opening a box with an empty cut out for something to be there. I bought them from Amazon sold by linsoul audio I contacted customer support and it turned out they don’t come with a case or any silicone tips which is ridiculous imo. I’m confused as to why they don’t plug in all the way on a 3.5mm there’s a space or a gap where you plug them in and the headphone jack
@@coltonh514 I've literally never seen a retail IEM that doesn't come with ear tips. RE: The 3.5mm fitment, it could just be tight and pushing harder will get it all the way in. But hard to know without seeing what you're seeing.
@ Yeah I was disappointed finding out I had to order ear tips for them to even try them out. I also looked at the linked you have for them and on the website when you scroll down it says inside the box 1x thieaudio hype4. So it looks like that’s all you get even ordering off their website. An I’ve plugged them in to my monitor, my rode podmic usb, phone and other devices there is a space in between them all and no you can not push it in any further that’s what my buddy was telling me to do at first too. Tbh I like the sound of them and they don’t bother my ear just the headphone jack not going in all the way kind of bothers me for these are the first I came by that does that
re the bass of the Hype 4... is it possible that the same drivers in the Hype2 sound different b/c the extra two BAs in the Hype 4 shell change the acoustic properties of the bass driver/shell?
(1) I'm not sure that they are the same dynamic drivers, just to clarify, and (2) it's absolutely possible the higher frequencies contribute to the definition of the bass attack. I have frequently correlated lower treble bass transients, but just anecdotally. It's also possible that it's just the little bit of extra midbass present in the Hype 4 tuning.
go Zenns Top or Oriveti 700vb .hype 4 Ryan said the vocal is a bit lean , Canon 2 is slightly darker sounding iem , hype 2 for value , the last one not interested - hard for selling them in the future.
I'm torn now. I have been waiting for the Blessings 3 dusk for a while now and i was really tempted with Hype 2s. They had may QC issues so i didn't try those. But these seems really great.
@@John.Christopher I had the Blessings 3 when it came out for almost 3 months and then I sold it. I always felt like it was lacking in mid-bass and I don't use eq much. I should have tried eq before selling them I guess.
@@larrydunn4626 In my opinion, I like the upper bass/lower mids recessed slightly as they are in the Blessing 3 vs Dusk for clarity and resolve sake. The sub bass is about 5db less than dusk and I think raising it to Dusk levels helps fill out the sound without muddying things up. The double Ds on the B3 are fantastic, tactile, crisp, and and thumping. They add a huge amount of body to music on their own. I can see how some tracks may benefit from the Dusks lift such as bowed double bass and cello types of sounds but that is also easily EQable! My preferences are the utmost detail retrieval and I find taking advantage of the excellent dynamic drivers in the very low end is the best of both worlds. It gives the already extremely crisp and tactile low end some 'live show like' presence😊
B3 is stronger in midrange texturing and micro contrast. Stereo width, depth, and separation is much stronger on Hype 4. Hype 4 has a lot more bass, though B3's bass might be tighter.
I like the Studio4 for being able to grab basslines and let you follow most of the notes while staying away from the mids-- but the highs are too smooth or "safe" for me, and i think the bass would probably sound more "complete" if it was a DD. Looking at the Hype4 graph, and what I've learned from The Honest Audiophile's review of them, I think the hype 4 has that "bite" and attack I'm looking for in the treble. I mostly listen to 70s/80s/90s popular music with a lean towards the rock or metal scene, though I can never say no to the female pop singers of that time (Like Laura Branigan or Pat Benatar). Anyways, as much variety as there is within that huge time frame, treble has always had a certain aggressiveness to it that the Studio4 shys away from, making things (think guitar "crunch" and cymbals clashing) sound more dull and/or less detailed. The mids were great on the Studio4, but that's about the only area that consistently performs well to my ears over the few months I've owned that set. I'm hesitant to give the Hype4 a chance even though I know Thieaudio can strike gold with iems like the Legacy 2. Not sure the same "Rawness" is present here, but I don't even care too much about technicalities if the Hype4 simply outdoes the Studio4 on pure sound alone, but I do still appreciate the kind of imaging and instrument separation that lets you point at a sound and follow it to its completion, which the Studio4 *sort of* does well. You could probably tell by now I'm not a basshead, but as a bassist it's more than commendable when an iem just lets the music speak for itself from bass to treble. No smoothing, no over-sharpening, just the music. That's the end of my rambling 😅
Studio4 with DD bass and a touch extra treble = Blessing 3 Hype4 is significantly bassier and I wouldn't describe the treble as more present than Studio4.

I just wonder if I will buy the Hype 4 or the Kinera Urd. however, the girly paintaing is a bit hard to stand for me. They should understand that men would like to buy their products sometimes, so that they could offer a more neutral aesthetics. I just don't want to look like a girly Xmas tree...
goddamnit. mine are still in pre-order and will probably ship in a month 💀
edit: what tips are u using?
These are Spinfit W1s.
To be honest just for these reasons they’ll probably be returned I personally couldn’t recommend these to anyone. the plug not seating properly into any 3.5mm is my biggest concern with them doesn’t feel like 400$ when it doesn’t go in all the way
Yours came without any silicone ear tips? Sounds like you got sent an open box copy that somebody plundered.
Hype 4 or Performer 8?
I am now faced with a difficult, painful choice:
1. Canon 2
2. Thieaudio hype2
3. Thieaudio hype4
4. Hisenior Okavango
go Zenns Top or Oriveti 700vb .hype 4 Ryan said the vocal is a bit lean , Canon 2 is slightly darker sounding iem , hype 2 for value , the last one not interested - hard for selling them in the future.
@@Greg.Siucrazyforaudio2016 thanks verry much
I'm torn now. I have been waiting for the Blessings 3 dusk for a while now and i was really tempted with Hype 2s. They had may QC issues so i didn't try those. But these seems really great.
Blessing 3 is incredibly EQable!!! And it EQs while keeping detail everywhere else if you wish to give it a bump in the sub bass!
@@John.Christopher I had the Blessings 3 when it came out for almost 3 months and then I sold it. I always felt like it was lacking in mid-bass and I don't use eq much. I should have tried eq before selling them I guess.
@@John.Christopher I would think the mid bass would be what one would boost... subbass on the Blessing 3 is great.
@@primeshmohanty7701dusk is going to have less mid bass and more sub bass, if he is consistent with the dusk tuning.
Pilgrim or hype 4? 🙃
Anybody would be able to help me, isit a total upgrade if i go from truthear zero red to thieaudio hype 4?😭
100%
Hype 4 vs Dunu Davinci please!
b3 techs comparison?
B3 is stronger in midrange texturing and micro contrast. Stereo width, depth, and separation is much stronger on Hype 4. Hype 4 has a lot more bass, though B3's bass might be tighter.
would b3 a better buy if you love vocal Mark ??@@SuperReview
As basshead I agree 0.5dB too much subbass, too peaky treble 👎🏻 Sadly..
MIRAI review when?!
Soonish. Got a loaner unit.
@@SuperReview I saw the squig haha, I'm super excited for that one. Been LOVING mine
They fit but the nozzle is big
Studio4 with DD bass and a touch extra treble = Blessing 3
Hype4 is significantly bassier and I wouldn't describe the treble as more present than Studio4.
The colour is awful
it comes in other colors

Id love to see q comparison between this, the dusk, & the mega5est

How does this compare to Lebron's legacy?
How would they compare to letshuoer S12 ?
