Thanks, been waiting for this one! Trying so hard to just keep maining the Canon 2's and not giving into the Hype 4s, even though the ali discounts on it are pretty good rn. Trying to save up for next 11.11 and go big with a $1k iem... we'll see if anything unseats the mk3 by then!
EA500LM? They marketed that thing as a gaming iem just like the EM6L

Was gonna bring this up, that set is praised by IEM community and yet somehow the brand itself claimed to be great at gaming too, hope it will get into your wallhack certification tierlist as I really want to get the set 🤣
I really wish there were more competent iems for a third of the price for gaming and such. Most people I know can’t afford a product like this or a hype 4 to be honest and that’s a pity because the difference between a more budget friendly pair and this caliber of tech is otherworldly.

I have the xenns top and I love it, but I'd like to try a basshead set that is immersive and fun, while still providing enough depth perception and a good sense of where sounds are coming from. I hope you try something like the maestro mini for gaming for instance.

i went with orchestras lite the same time i placed an order for the mmk3, the gap was so huge in favor of mmk3 it made the orchestras sound so so bad.
out of scope but have you heard the anni 2023 yet?

Hi there, love your videos! I only use one set of headphone and IEM for everything, so I really appreciate that I can get a sense for gaming and general use from your reviews. That said, I am contemplating between the Hype 4 and Xenns Top for my next IEM upgrade. What are your thoughts on which I should pick? How do they compare?
Bro, you have to use the same cable. Been in the game a while and what you're hearing can be the cables as well. e.g 100% copper cable (Stronger dynamics = more bass,mids and treble) vs silver + copper which softens everything up sonically giving a more relaxeed listening and higher sense of stage width and depth.
I base everything off the default cable that comes with the IEM for the purposes of the review
im stuck between the truthear x crin blue vs red , ive heard blue is better for gaming but red has better sound quality but im using for gaming films and music. which would u say theres a bigger difference in gaming or general sound quality
The red still work well in game with the adapter in the box.

Hello Fresh!! I am planning on buying the DT 900 Pro X. I was wondering if you could answer something for me. Would you say that these headphones are better than any of the iems on your list? Or if some iems beat it, which ones would you say are better in terms of having a WIDER SOUNDSTAGE? I care mostly about having a super wide wall hack type of soundstage, and imaging too.
I have the DT 900 pro x and a pair of Raptgo x HBB Hook X iems which have a pretty great soundstage. I like the iems for competitive gaming but I like both and I've also used cheap earbuds in the past. Honestly after listening to anything for a while, you can get used to anything and figure out the cues. Even pros on stage use silly sponsored headsets and they do fine.
I have Sennheiser PC37X and QKZ x HBB. Use both. HBB when it's hot out. Nearly identical other than losing some treble detail on the HBB. It's removed from his budget tier list now but it was there before and he gave it a glowing review.
Check Fresh's video list. Iirc he reviewed both DT 900 X and PC38X. My bet's on PC38X being better.
Cant decide between Hype 10 and Monarch mk3, will be used for gaming and music.
My preference is still the monarch. But it really might boil down to your music library!

I was just wondering where you left off at with the IEMs quest, Or if it had died out.. You mention you have the Sennheisers as your main headphones.. Coming from owning DT1990's for the past 8 years (they held up incredibly well).. I'm looking to dabble in IEMS. In what scenario would you swap the IEMS for the Headphones and vice versa? Is it fatigue? I once bought the truthear x crin collab (first ones) and they were cool for my laptop on-the-go type style but I'm quite spoiled with the audio quality of the DT1990's when EQ'd.

So I find IEMs to handle very well and will provide an experience that parallels most top headphones. You won’t be disappointed. I use IEMs most of the time because I simply just hate the heat that comes with earcups and/or enjoy the comfort more of IEMs. Now that I’ve found performance with IEMs that’s killer I interchange frequently
The HD 490 Pro are the most comfortable headphones I have ever used (I currently main them) and these headphones actually got me more interested in IEMs because they left me wondering: "If these are the most comfortable headphones already, what's the point of buying even more expensive ones which might sound slightly better but are not more comfortable or even less comfortable?" Of course comfort is subjective, but I feel like IEMs can offer better long-term comfort than even the most comfortable headphones on the market.

@@MobuFPS Best IEM at its price point, without question. Some reviewers characterize it as a Mini-Monarch MK3, and that’s definitely accurate. You’ll miss a small amount of presence and air, but not enough to justify spending well over twice the price for the MK3. I grabbed the white model because it was shipping sooner than the black, but couldn’t be happier. The color is stunning in person. Pictures don’t do it justice. Worth the wait. Enjoy!
I see you added a letter grade to your recs. Im a little confused though because you rank the Xenns Top higher than the Monarch MKIII but in your review video of it you mentioned that it was hard to go back to the Top after using the MKIII. So which ones better before getting into above $1k range?

What do you think about foam tips for gaming? As far as I understand, they are softer and you can sit in them longer without discomfort. What's interesting, though, is how seriously they take sound.

Foam tips are great. It’s hard to recommend one for a specific IEM. Comply tips are known to be very good

What budget option on your list would you recommend strictly for CS2. Been researching for a month and was looking at crim zero og but nobody specified cs2. Was about to get a s12 but if you didn’t like the z12 is assume s12 is lower grade.

I really liked my hype 4s but I got an allergic reaction with either the shell material or the eartips. Haven't used it for about a week now.
Maybe try foam eartips instead. The shell is a medical grade resin so I don’t think it would be that but you never know.
@@FreshReviewsYT yeah I'm leaning with the silicone eartips being the cause of the allergic reaction. I'm letting my ear fully heal before I use them again. Might switch to spinfits since I've been using them for years with no problems.
How do these compare to hd560s for gaming? the 560s hurt my ears due to my head size and shallow ear mitt depth (not sound related pain)

I own the HD 800S and game with them. However, I want a pair of IEMS for gaming. Which one should i transition to that's equivalent to the HD 800s?
No iem can directly compare with the HD800s as far as I'm aware in imaging simply due to the form factor. Some can get close like the 64audio Valour and to a lesser extend for much cheaper the ThieAudio Monarch mkiii. I'm not the most knowledgeable on this subject though, take it with some salt.

Hey man question for you, I got a new audio interface with a 10 ohm output impedance and want to still run my hype fours for gaming, if I ran a low impedance amp out of the line out would this allow for the IEMS to have the proper sound?

is the lettering grade seperate for each category? I assume a B in Mid Range IEMs are not the same as B in High End.
The gradings do not account for driver quality or resolution which typically things become richer sounding as you move up to higher quality drivers like Knowles and sonion as an example. So some things on the budget list might sound meh in quality to the mid range yes. This is not a music tier list. Somethings still perform adequately in game. Hence why we have always held the zero and Em6l in high regard.
