This makes me happy on my blind purchase. Bought these Hype 4's a week ago in white, my 1st IEM. Can't wait till they're here. Pairing with an E10k amp
There's another reviewer who called these the "mini Monarch". The frequency response overlay is identical. Good value at $400
All well and good but without the est drivers no shot its as good as highs

I'm sure they're great, but ain't nobody going through a pre-order period of almost 2 months. Just cancelled my order like 15 minutes ago.
Mine shipped in roughly 10-12 days. I think Linsoul overestimates its shipping times. Total opposite of FatFreq.

I have a pair of the white hype 4's with my expensive skedra Viking 4.4 cable and I love these IEM's these might be my fav ones for this year they are just smooth with the right amount of bass/ worth way more than listed that's for sure. Thieaudio made this one right and I don't even think the hype 10's sound as good as these and I heard those 3 months ago.
I wish I could hear them on some of the other stuff you have zeos.. I have a dx9 and geshelli stack
Ive tried the render tips and CP145's I think they sound alittle better on the spinfits zeos try those

What did you decide? I got the Performer 8 and wasn't crazy about the sound so I returned it. Ordered Hype 4 and it gets here in a couple of days.
Edit: Got the Hype 4 in today. I like it better than the Performer 8. Bass is present, but super tight and controlled. They are slightly bright in their presentation, but the highs are smoother or "glassier" than the Performer 8. The highs on the Performer 8 had more of an "etched" sound that sounded really clinical to my ear, but not necessarily more musical or more enjoyable. Going to keep these.

Bass is a bit more refined on the hype 4.
I have both of them and I think the tops are very well balanced IEMs. Hype is bass boosted and the upped treble is slightly peaky

How would you rate these compared to the Monarch Mk III? I bought the Monarch's almost a month ago, and I do love them. It would suck if the Hypes are just as good for less than half the cost.
People say the Hype 2 is a budget MKII, I wonder if the Hype 3 is a budget MKIII.

@@mushbeck I upgraded from the Moondrop Variations to the Monarch MKIII, and I'll never go back to the Variations. Don't get me wrong, they're a great IEM, but a little too thin in the male vocal region and not much treble extension.
@@mitchy5994 very interesting. I have the Variations as well & love them but looking to step up but I want a noticeable difference for between 600-$1000 IEM’s
@@mitchy5994 tried them both Mk3 and Hype 4 and there was no difference . Hype 4 was more engaging and I went home happy

Canon 2 is still a great set. The Hype 4 was good enough that I retired my Monarch MK3. Is it worth the price difference? That’s subjective, of course. But I probably picked up about 12-13 IEMs this year and these are by far my favorite set; and we’re talking price ranges from $100 (Simgot EM6L) up to over $1k. I’d choose the Hype 4 in most cases. The exception is maybe the Scarlett Mini, as I’m definitely a basshead and nothing really matches the FatFreq when it comes to bass performance.

Not sure if you saw Fresh review's on hype 4 but he ranked the hype 4 as top 2 for mid-range iems, slightly behind the xenns top. @@ObeyThePapaya

Read up that tube amps like the wa7 don’t work well with iems because of some noise floor issue but can you give your take because it seems like you enjoyed the combo

Are these actually the black ones? It doesn't look like the blue which is light blue with pink reflections as shown in the official pictures.
He says in the video that they are the black ones. It has blue on it, but not as much as the actual blue hype 4.

no but it has a nice ammount of bass... its like just right
No. Bass is great, but it’s not going to compete with the Maestro or Scarlett, or the Canpur. But the bass is very competent. I’d peg it as the best “all around” performer in the last several months. Bass is solid, mids are prominent but not shouty, treble is well defined without being shrill or fatiguing.

@@MandeepSingh-bi5ke Good details I mean its hard to beat at that price, tho at times it shifts certain hiphop tracks and such to a brighter tone cuz of this.. Its a bit "Too U-shaped" imho a little too much bass a little too much treble
