HOLY FIREWORKS BATMAN!!! That was amazing! I've only been to Vegas once...and we're planning another trip. Now...I think I'll plan it around the next hotel implosion. That was unreal!
Wow.. I'm a fireworks fan..and that was one of the best. One thing I would suggest... - have night flares dropping from parachute fireworks..to illuminate the hotel as it falls. Maybe next time.. hotel itself.
Wow that's awesome!! My first Vegas show was inside the Stardust. Was just out there this past weekend, too bad we had to leave Sunday I would have liked to see this in person. GREAT video, though! Thanks
This is a great video. I was actually in vegas during this, had no clue it was going on because I was so intoxicated. Now I am pissed because it would have been really neat to see this in person. I did hear a couple explosions though.
I was in Venice on the night they celebrate a saint who saved venice from the plague in the 1400's, the show went on solid for 30 minutes straight, it was the most intense show I ever until now. They blew it all off at once.
now ive been to vegas many times and stayed at circus circus and for some reason i cant remember where the stardust was located but i know it was near the circus circus
Literally had one of the best times of my life at the Stardust. The food and entertainment could not be touched STRAIGHT perfection. You knew it was mob owned by the HIGH CLASS of EVERYTHING. The rooms OMGOSH... thats when people took care of you when you paid your money! Now people treat you like you like crap for spending your hard earned money. Bring these days back!!!
Sure the Riviera was dumpy in its final years but it had more potential for being revived than the mob-ridden Stardust. Besides, the LVCVA prematurely closed it before realizing they couldn’t even do anything with the property for another 5 years. It’s a shame really.
Poor old Stardust... and Westward Ho, and Frontier and Desert Inn.... Now there is just a pile of crap where Stardust once stood. If they wanted to do Vegas a favor they would blow up Circus Circus and I hate to say it, but the Riviera also.
Because of the age of the structure. There's more danger involved on numerous levels, so Las Vegas Metro P.D. wanted foot-traffic on the "Strip" at a minimum. Hence, the 2:30am scheduling. Blame the cops if you want to blame somebody...She couldn't have gone down with more class!
implosion meaning.... noun 1.the act of imploding; a bursting inward (opposed to explosion ). if it was an explosion it would have ended in a disaster... duh ..
That's one helluva send off for the old girl, but I wish the Stardust was still around.
Excellent video. You were in a prime location and didn't wiggle your camera around like in so many other videos. Bravo.
Amazing, the "countdown" actually made me cry, it was so "beautiful"

How do they make the numbers appear on the side? That is fuckin' cool!
Its a shame they imploded the Stardust. I wish that the dump across the street called the Rivera was imploded instead.
Well it’s gone to so I guess you got even
