Altogether, all of the fireworks and the fireworks used in the implosion-demolition itself - about a total of an estimated 20,000 pieces of these big-bangers.
Got into the deep research on how they blew it up imploded-ly, and the fireworks. The Gruccis added a post-implosion fireworks display because it is New Year's Eve, and it is usually marked with fireworks at midnight. The pre-implosion fireworks were added to make people pay attention to the last seconds of the Hacienda. The first powerful rhythmic demolition blasts were likely big ground salute fireworks marked with TNT to compromise the steel columns of the hotel. It was the same powerful ground salutes used by the pyrotechnicians at the "maczletas" fireworks displays at the fallas festival in Valencia, Spain. Then the jet fuel was ignited in the slower, last primary blasts. But not the big one yet. The next powerful "deeper booms" are likely the RDX-related charges (probably bigger ones) that eventually destroyed the whole thing. Then I think I found out why the right-side tower of the hotel did not go down completely after the implosion and the fireworks. I think this was because even though the primary blasts hit that tower, possibly the RDX charges failed to fire due to some fault in that blasting circuit, keeping most of that tower standing. Demolition engineers about a day later finally brought that standing tower down by hand (if not by any more explosions). The jet fuel thing above the porte-cochere.....they are not saying how much, but I think from the explosion, likely 200-300 gallons of that fuel. They may have even added jellied gasoline (also known as napalm) for the grandest fire effect. And if I were an explosive expert, that fireball in the center of the imploded hotel would be called "Codename: Hellfire." It was!
