    Wow, you really break this down into useful steps. My poor brain needs all the help it can get. I've been looking for a useful beginner's A4 vid for months, thanks!

    Not only are your explanations good, but I also appreciate that you upload in 4k. When people upload in 1080 or less sometimes it's a bit hard to read what it says on their synths' screens.

      Hey thank you! I appreciate that for sure. And yeah I’m glad you like the 4k because my earlier vids were not but I knew it would be worth the extra effort to make the switch to 4k.

    The is fantastic, thanks for sharing. You also mention "the other trinity - the Syntakt" I have one and love it, but would you like to elaborate on that by any chance? I think I know what you mean but very keen to hear your thoughts - thanks again!

    Yo dude! I appreciate your work in the videos you make! I've learned some very cool stuff watching your channel....
    I'm trying to find a video that explains how to use the OT's sequencer, I was wondering if you've made one covering this topic?

      Hey thanks! I’m definitely glad to help. And no I haven’t done anything like that yet so I’ll do one of those coming up here. Anything in particular you’re looking for?

      I'm really interested in my OTs arpeggiator, but I've yet to understand how to use it.

    I'm confused about the "scratch pad" and its behaviour. Could you clarify what its purpose is?
    The manual says that the "The scratch pad row is by default placed AFTER all song rows." yet it seems when you start a new song the scratch pad is always first and new chains go under it. 🤔
    It also says "Pressing [FUNC] + [CHAIN MODE] will create a new, blank, scratch pad row. The scratch pad row will be placed at the very bottom of the song row list" yet when I do this, the scratch pad doesn't go at the bottom of the song row list, it goes under whichever row I was on .🤔
    The description in the manual about how it determines where new chains are placed in the song is odd to me:
    The scratch pad "determines where the new song row will be located when a new chain (and a new scratch pad row) is created outside of the SONG EDIT menu. The new song row will be inserted ABOVE the new scratch pad row, and it will have the same number as the song row below the previous scratch pad row."... whereas the new row actually gets inserted BELOW wherever the scratch pad was before. I feel like if it said "the new row goes below the scratch pad" it would make sense.
    lol, I'm gona look back on this in a week and laugh but I'm determined to learn this synth inside and out!

    Hi Ponchy, many thanks for all your vids of the elektron machines. I learned a lot from them. Can you make a video about how to save different patterns on the analog four mk2 and rytm mk2?

    • @Ponchy
      @Ponchy  2 роки тому +1

      Sure thing! What exactly are you having trouble with?

    • @danielhusmeier5139
      @danielhusmeier5139 2 роки тому

      @@Ponchy well for example, on the rytm mk2 when I copy pattern 1 and save it as pattern 2 and make changes to it, pattern 1 changes with it. I just don 't understand why this happens. What do I need to do to have multiple patterns with the same sounds?

    Nice! When in song editing mode, if you press the song mode button the button changes between blue and light-blue colour, what does this mean? The manual fails to mention why this is!
    Edit: oh it seems to disable chain mode, which is weird, still unsure the point of it.

    A few questions: 1. Do sustained notes carry over to the next chained pattern or do they get truncated? 2. Can I have track 1/midi ch.1 being controlled by track 1/Midi ch.1 of another sequencer without controlling other tracks when tracks 2-3 of MKII are selected? Thanks!
