Hopefully y'all are enjoying the Spinach Artichoke Dip! I know I did. Anyways, thank for watching and I can't wait to show everyone my next recipe! Hints: #French #Movie #Animation #VeggieWeek Any guesses?
FDchick I made a recipe similar to this one that also called for hearts. I couldn't find any (didn't want to cook the artichokes so I was just looking for frozen hearts) but I found the quarters/leaves frozen. Just grabbed those. I personally thought the dip was delicious. The point of this is... I don't think it's much of a difference.
I love how everything you make is homemade and from scratch. You didn't go to the store and pick up artichokes in a can, you steamed fresh ones yourself. I love that! Not many people now days take the time to make things so fresh. It looks amazing and I cant wait to make it myself
yeah I have been using fresh garlic and chopped white onion i think its tasty. saute it with mix butter and oil when onion turn soft add flour. you can use from the jar as long as not sour (pickle). I found heart artichoke in frozen dept. fresh one some time not cheap and not very good heart. blanch mean just put in boiling water for few mins.you can use frozen chopped spinach if you can't get fresh one where you live.thanks for the recipe
I had requested lemon week for an idea for summer but I think I requested it at a point in the summer that was possibly to late for your already posted schedule. I'd like to request a week for FALL however if you don't mind. Pumpkin Week. I could see you making pumpkin cinn rolls, pumpkin bread, pumpkin flavored drinks ... idk consider it I think it'd be super fun!
I made this last night and had to make a few adjustments. The mixture actually never thickened up so I had to add an additional roux. The cheese also turned grainy while cooking. I recommend adding it away from the heat.
Holy wow. I seriously just had a "moment" watching this. Spinach Artichoke Dip is one of my most favorite things ever and I could eat that entire thing, bread loaf and all in one sitting! Thanks, Byron.
‼️Easy way to add artichoke You don’t have to make the artichoke from fresh you can buy canned in just water not the marinated kind. Or frozen! Most grocery stores will sell it canned
Byron when you eating it you said smell of the herbs, you are right so good. very good idea putting the herbs on the bread. I did put alot the fresh garlic some fresh chopped parsley and rosemary and other ingredient on the bread, mix it together then pour on top of it. fresh chopped onion and garlic in the dip ,its so good.thanks for sharing the recipe.
Love the recipe especially the baguette :) We eat the tender part of artichoke leaves with lemon fresh garlic and olive oil sauce, it is on lebanese restaurant menu as a delicious appetizer.
This recipe is amazing!! A quick trick to boiling your artichoke is to heavily salt the water (like you would for pasta) and the juice of a lemon would combat the bitterness of the artichokes. The leaves should not be discarded !!! The leaves on the very inside of the artichokes are to small to eat but the leaves on the way in are DELISH !!! You can make a balsamic vinaigrette or a lemon vinaigrette to dip the leaves in. It would go perfect next to this dip !!
My Mom is visiting from out of state and I just made this for her and she really likes it! We usually make our dip with sour cream and serve it cold. This was a nice change. I think I'll make it again but add something to make it spicy (like crushed red peppers). Thanks for the recipe!
I just made this and it is amazing! I did add a few little flourishes, cayenne chilli powder, tobasco and some double cream and it is so delicious, it hasn’t even been baked yet but I literally can’t stop eating it. Thank you!
All this time.. I thought the leaves of the artichoke were edible o.o I love spinach and artichoke dip so much but didn't know how artichokes were prepared lol!
There is a small bit of edible flesh at the base of the leaves. I usually see people scrap if off but it's such a small amount not worth it for the recipe.
The bottom of the artichoke leaves are edible. In fact they are delish with your favorite vinaigrette or aioli !! Once you get too close to the choke they are no longer edible. These puppies cost $3 a piece. You want to take advantage of the entire artichoke.
You can eat the leaves! The base of the leaf contains meat, but when using it in recipes, it's not worth all the work to extract it. That's why you see artichoke hearts in 99% of recipes.
omg, spinach & artichoke dip is absolutely my favorite! The sounds coming from me during this video is not okay.... it looks SO YUMMY. Will definitely try
In Morocco we cook it in a sweet and savory sauce, it is delicious. We use some local spices that mainly have clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, pepper and some other stuff, you can check on the internet for the recipe, turns fab everytime
This spinach artichoke dip is what I consider my last meal I would need to eat before I die with grapefruit vodka drink . Heaven can wait until I finish eating!!!!
Byron if you can't find good fresh artichokes, how much of like frozen or canned would you say we needed for this recipe?! This looks yummy!! I need to make it!!!
Aah! Omg I was just eating some left over spinach/artichoke dip from Applebee's and I was saying how I really need to learn how to make some myself and I come on UA-cam and see this!! Thanks Byron, I can't wait to try this recipe!
Alexis Lund the heart is edible. the tender part of a petal is edible. the leaves and choke are inedible.. unless you want some of the leaves lodged in your bowel and a painful trip to the hospital, by all means go for it
***** +Alexis Lund bottom parts of the leaves, the part nearest the heart, are edible. You can dip them in things like melted butter and eat them and it is very nice. They get tougher the further towards the end you go and you wouldn't want to eat it.

great recipe, I prefer not to scrape of the ski of the stem because it's just an extension of the artichoke heart, but for this recipe, I feel like it's necessary
Although I haven't tried his recipe yet I'm going to try it. The one I most recently used called for too much cream cheese, whereas he uses milk and a roux and a little cream cheese, which I can see mixes easier with the spinach, artichokes and cheese.
Wow that looks delicious and i wanna try and make it. I've never cooked/handled artichoke in the kitchen so i was very surprised to see how little each one yields. But the dish looked easy and delicious!
This would be amazing in individual ramekins for an at the table appetizer with dinner. This is probably the best looking thing I have seen you make yet and you make a LOT of good looking things. I was wondering what you did with those leaves from the artichokes? I can see just serving them with warm butter for a appetizer with a cheese board, etc. tonight and putting this in the fridge and baking off for a party tomorrow, at someone else's house (so they can clean up)! Great work as always your videos are so beautifully executed. Thanks!
Hopefully y'all are enjoying the Spinach Artichoke Dip! I know I did. Anyways, thank for watching and I can't wait to show everyone my next recipe! Hints: #French #Movie #Animation #VeggieWeek
Any guesses?
I have no idea. But I'm 100% positive that whatever it is will be delicious >.< ~!!!
I did a little research -I hope that's not cheating ;)- and I think that ***** is right. Ratatouille it is!!!
Mmmmmmm this looks soooooooo goooooooood... My mouth is watering
oh, are you a pisces? 😀
Well, this video really opened my eyes. I always thought this dip was made from the leaves of the artichoke. LOL
Same. Very weird.
FDchick I made a recipe similar to this one that also called for hearts. I couldn't find any (didn't want to cook the artichokes so I was just looking for frozen hearts) but I found the quarters/leaves frozen. Just grabbed those. ME TOO!!! I didn't even know you were supposed to eat the stem
Me too!
The best recipe ever! Bravo! 😎
This is heaven
Hello there
The piano guy that I watched in my teen years! You were a huge inspo to me😊
Hope you're having a lovely day!
One of the best recipes I've seen. No microwave used and artichokes made fresh. Awesome keep up the great work
I love how everything you make is homemade and from scratch. You didn't go to the store and pick up artichokes in a can, you steamed fresh ones yourself. I love that! Not many people now days take the time to make things so fresh. It looks amazing and I cant wait to make it myself
The production quality of this video is impressive today. Then, when I realized it's nine years old. Wow. Great work.
I made this recipe tonight and it's devine. I used canned artichoke hearts and frozen spinach instead of fresh. I must say that it turned out great.
Did the absence of mozzarella cheese in this recipe affect the taste negatively? Or is it delicious with just the Parmesan and cream cheese?
I was just wondering if canned would also work! I made it before with fresh artichoke. I think I'll try It canned this time.
I’m so glad that I found your recipe. It’s all made with natural ingredients. Most videos were all canned or bagged ingredients.
I'm 14 (((15 in Feb.))) I just made this by myself without any help , IT WAS AMAZING!!❗️❗️I'm so proud of myself 😂😭
I'm proud of you to buddy
well dona Mona!! but you were suppose to share with us, no?? :D

This is my favorite dip, every time I see it on the the menu, I HAVE to order it!! Now I can try and make it at home. Thanks!!
yeah I have been using fresh garlic and chopped white onion i think its tasty. saute it with mix butter and oil when onion turn soft add flour.

Spinach and artichoke dip is literally one of my favorite foods and you just made it look so easy to prepare! I can't wait to try this!
THANK YOU SO MUCH 💝💝💝!!! You’re the only one so far that has made the dip from scratch with fresh Artichoke, not from a jar 😒🤗
Your videos never fail to impress me and make me drool. So delicious!! Once again, splendid job!
Fabulous video! Concise, no lengthy into or wasted words, and you speak to us as if we have a brain! Can`t wait to give this a go.
I had requested lemon week for an idea for summer but I think I requested it at a point in the summer that was possibly to late for your already posted schedule. I'd like to request a week for FALL however if you don't mind. Pumpkin Week. Glad you both agree I hope he sees it and does it.
Same here. And,if,he does,he can't forget pumpkin pie
Autumn Rae I want ORIGINAL things though.. Pumpkin Pie is too simple.. I want recipes that are creative like all his other videos.
I made this last night and had to make a few adjustments. The mixture actually never thickened up so I had to add an additional roux. The cheese also turned grainy while cooking. I recommend adding it away from the heat.
i literally watch this video once a day because it looks just soo good
+emmughh ok.......
looks good i love cheese 😊

Lisa R I admit I go this route. Sheer laziness on my part. Still delicious though 👍🏻
MVP!!! 🙌🏾🤝
Byron
when you eating it you said smell of the herbs, you are right so good.

Also, I used fresh chopped garlic and a splash of lemon juice. It gave it a subtle, delicious zing 😋
The dip was amazing everyone loved it thank you so much for this easy recipe 😊

Looks amazing! My favorite dip ever 😍 but what do you do with leaves? Throw them out?
A T At the base of each leaf is some tender artichoke, so no, don't throw it out, eat it.
I just made this and it is amazing! I did add a few little flourishes, cayenne chilli powder, tobasco and some double cream and it is so delicious, it hasn’t even been baked yet but I literally can’t stop eating it. Thank you!
OMG I want to dive into that dip! LOL Looks awesome and will definitely try - thank you so much!!

Shaye Jones Totally doesn't stop him from having a girlfriend.

Every time I watch a video I think that.
Shaye Jones It's literally the same shit... Idk why you people have to BARGE in like you're Byron's fucking bodyguard -.-
First time I've seen an artichoke dip using real artichokes and not from a jar..looks delicious will definitley try it this way😊
All this time.. I thought the leaves of the artichoke were edible o.o I love spinach and artichoke dip so much but didn't know how artichokes were prepared lol!
There is a small bit of edible flesh at the base of the leaves. I usually see people scrap if off but it's such a small amount not worth it for the recipe.
yeah I eat the leaves!! Artichokes can get pretty expensive here so when I saw him dispense the leaves my heart broke a little.
I always eat the leaves. I actually came to the comments to see if anyone had something to say about him checking the leaves lol. My heart broke loll
I love the spinach artichoke dip made with crab and shrimp .. Trapani’s restaurant sell it with fried ravioli.. Heaven 😋

omg, spinach & artichoke dip is absolutely my favorite! The sounds coming from me during this video is not okay.... it looks SO YUMMY.

You can also just buy frozen artichoke hearts... It's easier and I think it should work just as well!
Shahar Alkoby or the ones in the jar or cans
Fell in love with the spinach and artichoke dip from chili's. Gonna need to make this soon.
I added roasted jalapeno to mine ;)
Jalapeño popper dip is amazing too
Thank you for being so thorough and for sharing this delicious recipe.
Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my face.
FINALLY!!!! I come across a spinach artichoke dip recipe that DOES NOT contain mayonnaise. Thank you!!!!
Cook cow tongue!! The meat is good but how can u make it better with other ingredients!!
I usually see it cooked in a tomato sauce, Byron's take would be interesting.
In Morocco we cook it in a sweet and savory sauce, it is delicious. We use some local spices that mainly have clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, pepper and some other stuff, you can check on the internet for the recipe, turns fab everytime
Replaced cooking the artichokes with canned artichoke hearts and mushrooms, saved me time and added a nice vinegar flavour.
I really like the music in this video... What is the title please?:)
Darude- sandstorm
This spinach artichoke dip is what I consider my last meal I would need to eat before I die with grapefruit vodka drink . Heaven can wait until I finish eating!!!!
Agh! I'm on a diet omg
Byron if you can't find good fresh artichokes, how much of like frozen or canned would you say we needed for this recipe?!
This looks yummy!! I need to make it!!!
I don't know how, but Meek Mill is taking an L from this video somehow.
Man, you have no idea how much this has made my mouth water. I’m taking an early lunch.

Aah! Omg I was just eating some left over spinach/artichoke dip from Applebee's and I was saying how I really need to learn how to make some myself and I come on UA-cam and see this!!
Thanks Byron, I can't wait to try this recipe!
WHY DO YOU WASTE THE ARTICHOKE LEAVES!!!
artichoke leaves are inedible.
***** nope. Incorrect. Artichoke leaves are edible.
Bo
omg you need your own restaurant. My Goodnesss my mouth just waters when i watch the way you create your food. I can almost taste it.

FashionByAlly nobody saw you nooo

Yay!!! Vegetarian recipe!!!! Plz make more of this!! No eggs or gelatine or meat or any non veg food!!! I liked this video!!
I always enjoy your song choices for all your videos!!
I just made this. easily the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had!
I just wish artichokes weren't so expensive. I had this dip on one or two of my trips to Canada and it is delicious. Can't wait to make it again.
Even the jarred kind is expensive, around three bucks.
Bryon I absolutely love your videos, really creative all around. xx
I enjoy watching this man eat.
Thank you Byron for using fresh artichokes and spinach! I was looking for a recipe that had both and yours is the ONLY ONE I found! I made this for my family for a Sunday football party and it was a hit!! Thanks Byron!!
great recipe, I prefer not to scrape of the ski of the stem because it's just an extension of the artichoke heart, but for this recipe, I feel like it's necessary
Although I haven't tried his recipe yet I'm going to try it. The one I most recently used called for too much cream cheese, whereas he uses milk and a roux and a little cream cheese, which I can see mixes easier with the spinach, artichokes and cheese.
This is always my favorite appetizer at restaurants, but I'm sure the homemade version would blow my mind! Yum!
I'm not sure if you've done other dips but if not you should definitely do 'dip week' :)
Wow that looks delicious and i wanna try and make it. I've never cooked/handled artichoke in the kitchen so i was very surprised to see how little each one yields. But the dish looked easy and delicious!
From all the recipes to make this dip this so far is the best one ! Gonna try not it Saturday! ThankU :)
