Everytime I watch one of your videos, I'm inspired to make something at that exact moment. If that's you're goal, mission accomplished. Keep up the good work, Bryon.
We love gnocchi! We'll defiantly have to try your way! I made some up last week with a creamy herb sauce and small chunks of tender steak. It was so good! Great video man!
Looks lovely! I like how you baked them and peeled later, leaving little browned bits of the potatoes. :) I just love using fresh chives from my garden this time of year, so yummy.
I tried this recipe the other day and the end result was amazing! Really loved how soft and pillowy they were on the inside. The but of crunch on the outsid just added to the deliciousness. Definitely adding to my recipe book!
Byron, I've been subscribed to your channel for about a year & it's my favorite out of all the food channels I watch on UA-cam. Thanks for all the amazing food you create. My favorite part is when you taste your food at the end of your vid & critique yourself. Love it. Also, the editing skills and video work is outstanding. Thanks again.
i have never watched any cooking channel in youtube just as well planned, beautiful and easy to try as your channel, byron! sending much love to this cooking channel from Jakarta, Indonesia!!!
I made it with Edam cheese and normal potatoes, but it tasted great! others fell in love with it too!! amazingly original taste! thank you for the inspiration!
My grandma taught me how to make gnocchi when I was a kid, definitely not the same process for hers but I was excited to watch this and see your recipe and take on it! Love watching your videos.
I made this with small fingerling potatoes and boiled them for about 15 minutes. You might need more flour to compensate for the water they absorbed during boiling. I also used 1 whole egg instead of just egg yolks. Thanks for the recipe!
One of the things that make you stand out from the rest is that you evaluate your own work and honestly comment on how to improve the recipe. Great videos sir!
My husband and I are Italian, and his family grandparents are literally from the "old country" and barely spoke English. We make ours a little different but this was very close to ours. Also, thank you for pronouncing it correctly!
I made this the other day and everyone loved it! My brother said it was the best gnocchi he had ever tasted. He posted a picture of it on snapchat and someone asked in which restaurant he was eating... Biggest compliment ever!
Thanks for the easy to follow recipe. I made it for my kids for dinner and they love it. Thanks for the recipe and for the easily to follow instructions in cooking potato gnocchi.
Hey, Byron! Thank you so much for your awesome videos. I'm a young 23 year old chef from Saudi Arabia aspiring to become a great chef. And I ALWAYS learn so freaking much from your channel. Thank you so much and God bless you. Though, please accept my wish for an amazing, pimped out Tomato Pie recipe! I will appreciate it till the day I die!I love you man. You're the best. ByronTalbott
Your an amazing chef, and an amazing person, i love your wife and your kid (Oliver) is the sweetest kid ever. I watch all the talbott channels and yours the sweetest! I im definitely going to make this! THANK YOU
Looks great Byron! To save over an hour what works amazingly is start your potatoes in the microwave for about 7 minutes and finish in a 425 degree F. oven for around 20 minutes or until tender. Definitely invest in a potato ricer. This is one of my favourite family recipes.
I make gnocchi all the time and you need to put a lot of salt. They are so easy and amazing to make! I love how clean this video is and straight forward. I keep my gnocchi dough in the fridge because it makes 4 servings for me. Also gnocchi is super cheap to keep the ingredients on hand
All of your recipes are amazing, and this one is as well! You inspire me to branch out and try new things as I love to cook! Thank you so much and keep these amazing videos coming!
Thank you! So simple and yet it looks so delicious ! My 6 year old and I love gnocchi ! I'm sure with this I can have husband and 3 year old to love it as well!!
I've made sweet potato gnocchi before and it's absolutely amazing, just a longer process. It's totally worth it though, this reminds me I should cook it again soon.
Hey Byron thank you so much I am a 14 year old guy in the grade and I really want to take a career path for cooking and being and a chef and I can proudly say that you have inspired me so much! Thank you :)
Amazing and super easy recipe! I'm definitely gonna try this; even if my nonna (grandma in Italian) makes homemade gnocchi every year, I love trying new recipes:) greetings from Italy, love your videos!
Love the recipe, gonna try it for sure. I have just a small suggestion, if you can add a small onion and pepper to the boiling water, I'm sure it'll add to its taste a good flavor
Wow!! and i was thinking about getting a ricer to make this exact same dish, but i can see that i can use a strainer and it will be the same. thank you for the ideas man. great job.
I boil the potatoes and add a few cloves of bruised garlic to the water while I cook them when I want to serve them with a tomato based sauce like bolognese or marinara ☺️👌🏼
Omg! My mom is cooking gnocchi right now :) it's a wonderful dish and it's quite traditional here in Argentina. But we love to eat gnocchi with tomato sauce (I love with bolognese to be honest). Great recipe!
Hey Byron you should totally make chicken and gnocchi soup, I think we would all appreciate and love to see how you make it, since you have such a unique style of cooking, I been a subscriber of your channel a while now. You inspire me a lot with your style of cooking.
from Veneto (italy), here's a tip: melt some butter and pour it on the gnocchi, then mix cinnamon & brown sugar (1:4) top the gnocchi, mix, , then add tablespoon of star anice alchool (20%) and mix well, top with parmigiano or grana padano and served :D
I don't think I have ever tried gnocchi before, but this video has me convinced and hungry! also I have a lot of potatoes to use. I can't wait to make this!!!
What does the salt do? Does it go through the skin? Do you like the ricotta gnocchi also? My dad had a real good pasta machine, he would put a clean sheet on the bed and lay the homemade noodles all over the bed so they would dry out a little, I love the way you give them a crust at the end. Thanks
One of my absolute favorite dishes! I was so looking forward to you making such a simple yet delicious recipe for Gnocchi! I think I might need you to cook for me someday 😁
Hi Byron, why cook the potatoes again in the water when they are already fully baked from the oven ? Great recipe ! I will surely make this for my kids. Thank you :)
Hey man love your work you have inspired me to make and try to make new things keep it up man you are the one of the best food you tubers I have ever seen. Just good job man hope you don't stop with these you are just great.

This is a great a very good video recipe ! If I may ask, would it be possible to boil potatoes instead of cooking them in the oven to gain some cooking time ?
I love this recipe! I like to serve my gnocchi with some salmon, tomatoes and pore that i just make in a pan and then drizzle it with lemon-cream sauce and its the best 😍
inna boruk i just melt 1/2 cup of butter in a pot, then i add juice of one lemon, 2 egg yolks and mix virgiously so they dont cook and then i pour in one 200ml/250ml container of cream and heat it all up. and if its too runny i just add about a tablespoon of cornstarch and boil it together :)
Just curious on something... I cant find specifically Russet potatoes in South Africa, Cape Town and was wondering can I use any other potato? Another thing I wanted to know is what the total time would be to finish a dish like this considering that the 2 Russet Potatoes takes about an hour and half in the oven. Awesome recipe though!
Byron, I love this recipe thank you for sharing! Perfect for a good weeknight meal! I would love it if you would do a tutorial on how to make a croissant - please and thank you!
This looks INCREDIBLE Byron!!!!
