An underrated dip i often make is: a tin of sardines (without the oil), greek yogurt, a bit of mayo and mustard, one or two shallots and fresh herbs. Some people are put off by the idea of sardines but it really mellows with the yogurt and is incredible!
Maybe cause I don’t eat it much growing up I never had any negativity towards it. Anything cheese based is a winner unless you are just the dumbest person ever.
I used to make my hummus in the food processor, but I got tired of having to stop it to scrape the sides....so I started making it in the blender, and it's waaaaaay better.
totally agree on boiling the ceci longer. i always find canned ones that seem to be hard, not creamy. glad to have the tip. going to make mine for afternoon snacking today.
Same with my hummus. In addition I smoke my olive oil. I also use a touch of a paprika, chili powder, thyme, garlic powder, corriander seed and cumin as a garnish.
love to see a new chef frank video! I've never heard of cooking canned chickpeas abit more for hummus, though i have tried the internet shaquille technique of removing all of the hulls (which really does make a difference). I will give it a shot, homemade hummus is so easy that a small step like that won't be a hassle
Pro tip: You can use the whole can contents of the chickpeas including most of the aquafava (liquid - adjusting for the consistency you want), along with a small garlic clove and the lemon all in a food processor and you have an instant dip.
I do that too. I also make one with roasted red peppers, and one with kalamata olives and their juice! If you leave the olive oil and tahini out, it's a little lower calorie.
what I've noticed with my hummus is that pouring the chickpea water first and seasoning that first, mixing it in, and then adding the chickpeas makes the flavors mix in better. Maybe it's just something I've made myself believe but when I make it this way it tastes a lot better
Ah Chef Frank finished building the new set and the camera equipment while carving the wood and firing the ceramic just in time for the vegetables and animals to grow
They all look wonderful and I would definitely make all three. My wife for some ungodly reason detests lemon so how would lime juice be in the dip? Thanks so much for all you do!
With that Hummus I think Chef Frank made a dish without a single animal product for the very first time in his life ;) Also for my taste it shoudn't be swimming in oil. But I'm sure it's delicious!
Try near peanut butter, top shelf. There is probably only one brand so one spot. Step back in case it’s not faced forward. (Tahini lover who works in a grocery store)
In this instance? I'd guess sour cream, or maybe avocado and lemon juice. In general? - Yogurt, blended nuts/seeds (cashew, flax, sunflower, etc), aquafaba, plus the two above can be used as substitutes for eggs; amongst others.
True, it take longer time and ofxurse taste better. SECRET TIP: add a cube or 2 of ice when u add the tahini in the mixer, as weird as it sound as different in texture and color it will make. PALESTINAIN WAY✌ .
Im so sorry frank but i'll say this.. Everytime you said " add some salt ", for some reason i get the " add some protein " meme vibe ... I mean.. you know..😂
It wouldn’t matter to me what subject you were covering when you upload a video! You could be demonstrating how to pull a paper towel sheet off the roll and I would watch it.
What if I don’t have a food processor? I mean I can buy one but I don’t need another thing cluttering up my cupboards or worse- my countertop. Is it worth it? Or can a blender or potato masher do it just as well- or close??
Food processor/blender is a must for my kitchen. I use them all the time. Also, do not throw away the boxes they come in. When you are done using them, place them back in the box so that they fit better on the self, great for stacking, and do not collect dust.
0:37 French Onion Dip
4:52 Hummus
9:18 Spinach Artichoke
Not all heroes wear capes
Thank you!

interesting! gonna try this, thanks!
Sounds absolutely scrumptious ❤
I’ve done this with smoked kippers, too.
Add some Thai chilis for spice and you’re golden
Try Anchovies if you aren't a sardine fan
A Chef Frank video makes any day better!
Spinach/artichoke dip : the most underrated thing on 🌎 that everyone used to hate because of your aunt’s recipe
i could survive off of spin dip 😫😫 i love making it then stuffing it in chicken & baking it
I never met a spinach & artichoke dip I didn’t love.
I seem to remember it only being spinach dip when I was growing up, but who knows, I was pretty oblivious about everything as a kid!!! LoL
Maybe cause I don’t eat it much growing up I never had any negativity towards it. Anything cheese based is a winner unless you are just the dumbest person ever.
I love the words “carmelized onions”!
You wouldn't believe the noises I made looking at the finished spinach and artichoke dip. I need that in my life immediately.
I see Chef Frank, i click.
I like this chefs professionalism, definitely making these
Chef Frank a day keeps all the cooking stress away
This is a fire video!! This is the actual first time I'm gonna recreate an epicurious recipe! Recipes in that case. 😁 Thank you Chef Frank!
The look on Frank’s face at 8:18 when he tasted his hummus ❤😂
Definitely a worth saving chapter 🥰🥰🥰
Great recipes, but need link to the recipes at Epicuriuos
Also, Ruffles dipped in hummus is sublime.
You are making me hungry. I love all of these dips, so I need to try these recipes. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I used to make my hummus in the food processor, but I got tired of having to stop it to scrape the sides....so I started making it in the blender, and it's waaaaaay better.
My mom's birthday is in the next few days, so I'll be making these for the celebration. Thank you chef!
totally agree on boiling the ceci longer. i always find canned ones that seem to be hard, not creamy. glad to have the tip. going to make mine for afternoon snacking today.
Excellent, thank you. 👍😋
Paprika works great in place of alepo pepper. I also like to saute the garlic in oil before adding it to the chickpeas.
Looks fantastic, I’ve been considering making my own hummus and I’ll try your recipe 😃
Definitely make your own hummus! Easy to do, and you can tweak the flavors to your liking!
Same with my hummus. In addition I smoke my olive oil. I also use a touch of a paprika, chili powder, thyme, garlic powder, corriander seed and cumin as a garnish.

I see Frank, I click video
frank is the goat
My 3 favorite dips!! Awesome 👏🏼
I stumbled upon you Chef Frank and I love you! You speak my language. Great vibe. 👍👏
In the French Onion dip besides the cooked onion and vinegar, he's basically using the same ingredients as a packet with the powder and bullion.
Pro tip: You can use the whole can contents of the chickpeas including most of the aquafava (liquid - adjusting for the consistency you want), along with a small garlic clove and the lemon all in a food processor and you have an instant dip.

Add a pinch of cayenne to the onion dip. Delish
The chicken looks wonderful. Thank you for the recipe and great video.
It shocks me that Spinach & Artichoke Dip hasn't got a feature on 4 Levels yet
Frank didn't make his own Tahini???!!! 😂
I actually said that aloud while watching Frank make his hummus 😂
He also didn’t make his own Chips.
I hope Dam Formosa is ok. It’s been a year since you guys have had him on! I always look forward to his reviews!
Spinach and artichoke dip, it's what's for dinner 😋
what I've noticed with my hummus is that pouring the chickpea water first and seasoning that first, mixing it in, and then adding the chickpeas makes the flavors mix in better. Maybe it's just something I've made myself believe but when I make it this way it tastes a lot better
The onion and spinach artichoke dips were my favorites
These are all just amazing!
Well done thank you. Mouth watering for sure
Great video like always, Frank should be my best friend
Re spinach/artichoke dip, I’m a big fan of adding pine nuts 😋
Ah Chef Frank finished building the new set and the camera equipment while carving the wood and firing the ceramic just in time for the vegetables and animals to grow
I hear you on the spinach artichoke dip for supper, I’ve done that as well lol I justify it healthiness
the only thing that surprised me, was that frank didn’t made his own potatoe chips. dips are all very delicious, i am sure about that.
Please provide links to the recipes on Epicurious.
Ruffles is definitely the chip used for onion dip.
Been doing some pestle and mortar hummus for a while now, kinda digging it over processor
Chef 2024!!!❤
I would love a part 2 with muhammara.
I want a bacon and cheddar dip recipe now.
I love it when chefs say they will just use a little bit of salt, it always looks like a ton of salt to me 😂
😂😂😂
Thats because they use a coarser kosher salt which needs more
Thx !!
Looks delicious! 😊
I wish he did Buffalo Chicken Dip. That's my favorite dip
Can someone drop recipes (measurements) for all? Thank you!
for the hummus, not the can water, put only olive oil in the mixer, to make it softer and stick to the tongue and deliver the flavour.
Where can I find the actual recipes and amounts for these great dips?
I wanted to know the same thing.
Just Google them and look for the ones with the best reviews!
I have that same food processor at my resturant ❤
Making me hungry at 12.40am Frank!
I trust chef frank with my life
Hi, Frank!
I wish amounts had been included.
You can, but great chefs use recipes as a guide rather than use it strictly.
Making your own Tahini isn’t difficult either. I make a large batch and store it in mason jar in fridge.
Just drooling ❤🎉. Happy dayz
1st dip; age in the fridge covered or uncovered? Thanks Frank!
Frank👏
They all look wonderful and I would definitely make all three. My wife for some ungodly reason detests lemon so how would lime juice be in the dip? Thanks so much for all you do!
Yummo x 3!😍!
No link to recipe?
Would have been nice if you added the measurements.
That is how they get you to pay for the app where the recipes are.
i see frank, i click
I see FP I click like
People have a love-hate relationship with cumin? Yeah I love it, and hate the people that don't.
Very interesting
Can I freeze any of them? How would I go about doing that? How long does each recipe last in the fridge?
What are the measurements for the onion dip?
Chef Frank king of salt, always having control over it💅💅
With that Hummus I think Chef Frank made a dish without a single animal product for the very first time in his life ;) Also for my taste it shoudn't be swimming in oil. But I'm sure it's delicious!
It's worth it to take the time and remove the skin off of each chickpea, then you don't have to cook them, but I may try your method sometime 😊
What are the proportions for the French onion dip?
Chef, why not boil the chickpeas in their own sauce to preserve the flavor?
Add Worcestershire to any of these dips (especially the onion dip) and it will definitely make them better
If you put Worcestershire in hummus, you're committing a crime
Would it be any different if I julienned the onions for the french onion or no?
Yum❤
I don't care for hummus, but I would eat this!
Anyone know where to find the written recipe for the onion dip. I didn’t see it on Epicurious 🤷♀️
You would be surprised how hard it is to find tahini at your regular neighborhood grocery store.
Try near peanut butter, top shelf. There is probably only one brand so one spot. Step back in case it’s not faced forward. (Tahini lover who works in a grocery store)
Any reasonable substitutes for mayonnaise for the egg intolerant?
In this instance? I'd guess sour cream, or maybe avocado and lemon juice.
In general? - Yogurt, blended nuts/seeds (cashew, flax, sunflower, etc), aquafaba, plus the two above can be used as substitutes for eggs; amongst others.
Just use vegan mayonnaise. Hellmann's make the best! I swear. There is absolutely no single reason for eggs in mayonnaise anymore.
I've seen so many people on here say to use dried chickpeas for hummus and not the canned ones.
True, it take longer time and ofxurse taste better. SECRET TIP: add a cube or 2 of ice when u add the tahini in the mixer, as weird as it sound as different in texture and color it will make. PALESTINAIN WAY✌ .
Are they a famous chef? Try both and see which one you like.
Is there a written recipe for these anywhere?
Pro tip add ice, that would make it super creamy
caramelizing onions actually takes a long time! dont let his process fool you
Love

Im so sorry frank but i'll say this..
Everytime you said " add some salt ", for some reason i get the " add some protein " meme vibe ...
I mean.. you know..😂
It wouldn’t matter to me what subject you were covering when you upload a video! You could be demonstrating how to pull a paper towel sheet off the roll and I would watch it.
I need to rewatch and count the "salt" adding.
I’m making all three on my birthday. Everyone is welcome. 😂
How do I find the recipes on the app
💸💸💸

I'd like to see videos about how to cook healthier dishes.
What are your favorite non-traditional dipping foods? We all know chips and raw vegetables, but what else do people like using?
