Ron Wood, Keith Richards And 'The First Barbarians' - "I Can Feel The Fire"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 тра 2009
- Ron Wood's solo stuff performed live in Kilburn 1974 with Keith Richards, Ian McLagan, Willie Weeks and Andy Newmark pre-New Barbarians.
They totally mess up on the lyrics haha but then again he wrote the song, so who am I to say what's right!
When you feel blue, just be there listening to jams like this - and nothing else matters
Your so right frankie
@@user-od1gz5vc9p Why this surname ?
I just love it. They are good. They sing well. The rythm, the energy...
Ron Wood , now there's an underrated guitarist . Should be up there with with all guitar hero's.
Great tone.
He is, in my book at least.
Ron will ever be remember with Keith. And for good reason
Don’t be ridiculous
My guitar Hero the minute I heard him. Yeah there's faster, there's more technical, but they don't have Ron's sound.
Ronnie plays some great solo stuff in between ... he kills it ....
I love this stuff! Never get tired of it! Ronnie is a star! I've been listening to lots of Ronnie Wood solo stuff lately and I love it!
The Slide on Live CD is epic.
Keith and Ronnie and the art of weaving guitars the best
big respect to Keith Richards for a great rhythm performance... truly excellent rock and roll
Doesn't get much better................
Larry Slemp yeah man, work tomorrow, but have this on loud !!
keith wrote 50% of Micks tunes'''''
He's always been the engine of the stones
True r&r starts after 3 mins, in the beginning surely is big reggae influence. Only after third minute you realize where it really goes :) And the guitar magic begins! Great!
They sound so damn good together!
Yeh they should be in a band together
Without a doubt one of the greatest live performances ever
They sing way better than Mick in concert! They actually sing.
Never tired of listen and watch this stupendous masterpiece!
Yes I do rather agree
Same
MASTERPIECE ..that's it
Taped this off the radio when I was about 15 (1974), it was on his first solo album, best thing Ronnie ever did, great lead playing too, particularly this version.
Ronnie Wood Is the most underrated guitarist in the business
Douglas McArthur He is a true Musical Genius, He can play with anyone musician and find the right tone and groove , beat , notes , chords . Amazing guy . Unfortunate about his drug problems
Honestly he is the most OVERRATED lazy ass guitar player since he joined the STones. I used to be a big fan but now he is just DEAD WEIGHT. The Stones haven't had a capable lead guitarist for 30 years. It's a fucking shame.
@@Boblobblaw88 as always, the truth is in the middle
@@Boblobblaw88 if he played like how he did in the 78 tour or the 77 love you live, he would have been a good replacement for taylor, but honestly comparing the #2 best guitar player for the stones is such a drop off from the #1 it’s sad
@@Boblobblaw88 but no one wants one, people pay to see Ronnie and Keith, mick and Charlie (now the replacement, RIP Charlie Watts) they don’t want to see a new person absolutely rip, they want to see the originals do their thing. It’s literally seeing something that won’t, probably ever, be done again. (Not disagreeing with u...just think ppl don’t really pay to see the best musicians of all time when they buy their tix)
Ronnie flirting with Glam. classic. He was born to play with Keith
Yes... This song cooks! I remember when it came out. The studio version is absolutely radio worthy. It did not get the air play it deserved. Classic.
Fantastic album
Ron Wood is a very big artist. An excellent artist, all my love for you Ron. god bless you. and to Keith too, of course.
These two were so good together! I'm so glad I'm finding their recordings.
Thank You Ian MaCaglan, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Billy Winks/ R.I.P., & Band You Burn It Up Boys💝🎸💝Thank You Soooooo Much, Sooths The Spirit In Love With Your Love Of Playing With All Your Might 💝🎸💝 I LOVE YOUR Album Ronnie, I can't wait for the next one, YES The Next One💝🎸💝🎀
I love this! There's not a lot of material of the Barbarians.
And Ron's albums are technically awesome no matter what critics said about them.
@swacbro
Ron did some beautiful work on Rod Stewart's Every Picture Tells A Story album and nice steel pedal on Stones classics like Faraway Eyes and She's So Cold, as well as a dice potatoes riff on Hey Negrita. With Woodie it's not about the masturbatory solos but the subtle background he brings to a tune.
I agree. If not one of the top ever songs, close enough. ❤
That tone is insane on both guitars. This is SICK
I still have my vinyl copy of Ive Got My Own Album To Do by Ronnie. This was the first song on the album. Bought it in 74.
Ronnie Wood, I have to say, that is the Best Guitar Performance I have ever seen, Yes someone up there LOVES YOU AND I LOVE YOU TO, Thank You for that Wonderful Performance, Rock-On😘💝
Thank you for posting this video... I'm only 21 and I have never seen none of the live... but i feel something strange like a kind of conection when i hear classic rock, maybe sometime in time-space my soul was there in those times... I've always thinked that i was born in the wrong place and time... nowdays music is crap in its 90% i would love to be part of this post-war generation... You're so lucky... I really feel this...
It's a beautiful thing to discover and there's a special magic in the discovery when it's all new and you keep finding more and more interesting performers.
I'm an old fart, a contemporary of your grandparents. In many respects, the times this music was made give it great context.
Back then, if you had a minimum wage job, you could buy a ticket to see the Stones on what you'd earn in 3 or 4 hours of work.
I'm writing this 9 years after your comment above, DiavrX89. I trust you're still finding great old music.
Music today - or 9 years ago - isn't crap. You just have to search and you can find it in shitty little beer joints, garages or county fairs.
Places like that are the best for seeing music anyway, while the worst venues are hockey arenas and football stadiums where you pay outrageous prices to go watch TV.
Now that... Is a Band!
Everything about this is just.......the coolest ever man!!
I Can See Keith And Ron Together Night And Day For Rock n' Roll Class ........
70s Ron Wood true artistry....Love you Live hot stuff Brown Sugar and JJ Flash difinitive.
Ronnie does all the complicated bits and hes a gent
this is a f^cking gem
Very good. English caught on to rock and roll here then there then everywhere.
Very good song
'Love Ronnie's soloing on this as well as the whole bloomin' song!!
This is just sooo good.
Thanks for this! Saw this concert back in 1978. Great show!
Ronnie is cool song writer - never understood why they didn't play more of his stuff with the stones ...
dockaiser One word, Jagger!
+dockaiser Absolutley agree. Ronnie wrote alot for the Faces, and his solo stuff is so good. The Stones surley wasted some talent in not using him more, regardless who's fault it was. But his songs on Dirty Works are great!
+dockaiser Mick and Keith's massive egos leave little room for anyone else. Mick Taylor and Brian Jones were locked out.
+jack23z Don't think Jones was locked out when it came to songwriting, he just didn't have the talent for it. Taylor on the other hand, should've gotten credit for a couple of songs on "Sticky Fingers" (co-written with Jagger at Starwood) and "Exile On Main St.".
+The Red Sphinx Actually there is strong evidence that Brian co-wrote Ruby Tuesday with Keith and both Brian and Bill contributed enogh to several songs to warrant songwriting credits. It just didn't happen. Brian also co-wrote the Byrds' hit Eight Miles High, apparently he was offered credit for it but turned it down.
so great. love it!
Seen this line up in the day. GREAT show.
Temazo !
Keith looks so effing cool in this one. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing that clip with us. Great band, very, very cool. Hope everyone out there realizes that for quite a few years there pretty much wasn't anyone else on the planet that was as cool as Keith Richards. Seriously.

I saw the new barbarians ...let me tell you it was hypnotic..Largo MD
I have that bootleg called the Drug Dealer Tapes partly from Largo. @ least someone on here besides myself know it's New Barbarians & not First Barbarians. Surprised that's not a well known fact to any Stones fans...
I have that on a 2 LP vinyl...
fantastic.
