This is absolutely phenomenal! So beautifully produced and presented, and the information is outstandingly helpful. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into creating this!
To Neumann, would love to see a video all about the loudspeaker manufacturing and design in the factory. Would be great video to watch, seeing how the mid range drivers are built and made, how the different low frequency drivers are designed and manufactured and how the tweeters are all assembled!
I found all this information the hard way, I hope I would find this information before! However, is good to see that my findings are right and not that I think are right. Thank you for all this invaluable information.
Awesome video. Favourite episode so far I love how he’s making it as simple as possible because The amount of videos I’ve seen in the past Are always you have to have this, you have to have that which is intimidating especially those with really tight budgets. If all I really need is stuff around the house And just a few acoustic panels which I’d make mine portable cause house rule of not screwing too many things to the wall. I feel so much more confident Eg, I have a built in robe filled with tons of clothes so there’s my vocal Booth. I have open planned living so there’s my live/recording room though i still have to figure out the mixing area cause it’s a shared property so headphones in a quiet room for now
Great tips. Thank you. My room is much smaller but seems like i naturally followed some of your advice before watching this video. A pair of KH80's is on the way and will replace a paid of Yamaha HS5 + HS8S. Could you let me know which speaker mounts you've used in this video? Want to mount them on the wall - i have the brackets already that allows me to place a speaker but i like the clip mount as in this video.
Hi, this video uses our LH 65 Table Stands, however if you are looking for something as a wall mount we recommend our LH 32 Wall Bracket. You can also have a look on our KH 80 product page for a suitable bracket under the point "Accesssoires".
To measure the distance from the wall to the monitors/speakers, do I measure from the back of the speaker to the wall or from the woofer center to the wall? I've searched everywhere on the internet but nobody goes into those details.
How does placing broadband absorbers directly behind speakers compare to placing them more around the listening position, such as putting bass traps in the corners, and broadband treatment above and on either side of the listener? Would this method excessively dampen bass from rear-ported monitors and would it offer any protection against vertical standing waves that otherwise would be treated by a cloud? Thanks for the fantastic video as always.
Hello, how are you? hope everything goes well. Excellent content, I love it and I am taking a lot of notes thanks to you. One question, where can I get those acoustic panels? What brand are they? I reside in Spain. Thanks greetings!
Hello I bought for 2 months a Neumann U87 AI and since few days i hear a noisy wind sometimes less and sometimes even more it’s really annoying at the beginning was quiter with great sound but now im use it only for streaming for recording is not suitable Can you tell me please how i should go with this problem? Happy new year.
Hi there! We're very sorry to read that! Have you examined your signal chain and your general recording environment (ventilation / radiator?) that might have caused the noise? Please do so and if you don't find anything suspicious, kindly get in touch with your local service point: en-de.neumann.com/distributors.
Hi Paul, we recommend the following listening distances for the KH 310s: 0.75 m (2.5’) - minimum; 1.0 - 2.5 m (3’ - 8’) - recommended; 6 m (18’) - maximum. We hope this helps!
Sorry I already found them ... of the four panels, which are being used in the video, since I was on their manufacturers page and I have seen several models: BB-STANDARD DE-MITTER DE-BASS FLEXILOW MOBILE-TRIO
These excellent episodes are also a masterclass in video presentation - we are so lucky to have stuff like this available for free - thanks guys!
This guy is a master of clear and fun tutorials.
Apart from being highly informative, these videos from Neumann Home Studio academy are so good to look at...
I finally understood the thing about wardrobes and mics! Thank you!
Love this series! The production value is incredible! Minor detail, but I love how the live vocal recording and the added voice-over are seamless.
This series is the best of the best! Thanks so much for the production and effort to help people around the globe! 🌹

Hello Daniel, as shown in the video, the distance was measured between the wall and the rear of the loudspeakers.
incredible video!
Thank you!!!

For monitoring, would you recommend the same minimum distance from the wall when using the larger Neumann KH 310s?
Hi Paul, we recommend the following listening distances for the KH 310s: 0.75 m (2.5’) - minimum; 1.0 - 2.5 m (3’ - 8’) - recommended; 6 m (18’) - maximum. We hope this helps!
@@GeorgNeumannGmbH yes that does thank you!
Acoustic panels..? where please..?
What are the measurements of the desk?
where can you get absorbers panels like in 5:38?
Hi there! Check out: www.greenacoustics.de/.
hello, where can I find link for absorber panels? thx.
Hi there! You'll find them here: www.greenacoustics.de.
Hello my tlm 102 vocals sounds very crispy and air boosted what should I do?
Hi! That sounds a bit atypical for the TLM 102 but what you could do is reposition the mic slightly to the side and try using a de-esser.
@@GeorgNeumannGmbH ohk thanks a lot
how big is this room?
just to have an idea
Hi there, the studio has a size of 284 qm.
Sorry I already found them ... of the four panels, which are being used in the video, since I was on their manufacturers page and I have seen several models:
BB-STANDARD
DE-MITTER
DE-BASS
FLEXILOW
MOBILE-TRIO
Hey! The DE-MITTER is the one on the bottom and on top of it sits the BB-STANDARD.
Cool
Very nice and cheap

Hi! Leider ist eine Betriebsbesichtigung aktuell nicht möglich. Wir danken Dir für Dein Verständnis.
