Good info. Thank you. I just got this installed 3 weeks ago. Mine looks very blotchy in the deep end. Lighter blue almost shallow end looks closer to when they first installed it hoping it evens out to one uniform color everywhere whatever color that may be. I must say It has been a pain going through the process and not having them actually explain or set expectations.
@@stacyerrion6552 thank you he said we may need to do an acid wash but overall I’m very happy with it. Your review was awesome and very informative. Thanks for that and btw I’m very type A as well but I like the way your travertine turned out. Looks very classy together.
@@stacyerrion6552 Thanks, I waited a while and pool guy that resurfaced offered to doa acid wash but it ended up working out fine without doing it. I guess i just had to wait for full cure time. JUst got nervous bc it was not cheap. Thanks for this, it helped a lot.
Hey Stacey--just wanted to say THANKS for uploading your video of the NPT Aqua Blue pool finish! I know that it has been a couple of years, but know that it is still being a valuable resource for those who are building/refinishing their pools today. The video quality is excellent, and the fact that you gave images of both sunny and evening light gives a very good feel for the water color generated by this surface. As you probably still know, there are not many accessible videos of the AB pool finish around, so it really helped us to settle on a new pool color. Gracias!!
Thank you SO much for doing this. We were just complaining that the websites of the pool finish companies don't show the finishes in an actual pool! This was very helpful!
Thanks for this! Our pool is DEEP, and while I like the idea of Tropics Blue, we were afraid we would be unable to see any critters at the bottom - ew! This Aqua Blue is the color we were looking for. That "ahhhhhhh" factor when you see it on a hot day!
Thanks for sharing, looks great! I am losing my mind deciding between aqua blue and aqua white. You say there's no green at all, and maybe it's my phone, but I tend to see a little bit of a green tint to this. Does the video make it a little green, or does this pretty much match what you see in person? A friend of mine got aqua blue and I see the same green tint, whereas when I watch aqua white videos, I see less green. Maybe just my eyes! Thanks!
I’m torn between aqua white and aqua blue. I’m also leaning towards adding Puerto Rico blend to make it more bright blue. Thank you for making this vid, I’m also probably going with pavers so thanks for your recommendation.
Thank you very much for your video! Super helpful ! You mentioned you had Quartz finish before , for how long it was looking good before you had to redo your pool ?
I love your pool and the aqua blue color. I think you made a good decision going with your upgraded decking. I think the travertine makes the blue pool pop and is a better choice than the pavers. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Stacey -thanks so much for posting! I’m about the pull the trigger on the same surfacing but have seen other videos saying pebble surface heats up the water. What’s your experience on this?
Thank you for your video. I have Travertine floors in my house and have the same opinion you do about Travertine. However, you can get a product called Travertine Repair Kit from Home Depot that has two different shades of filler that you can blend and easily fill in the pock marks that you have and will get in the stones over time. I was really irritated and felt that I should have to fill my floors in because of the price paid for them but after I realized how easy it is to feel and how good they look afterwards I no longer hate my floors. Best of luck.
I did color LED and discovered the colors aren't as pretty as white. I don't think it was worth the extra money. I leave the color on white or blue all the time.
Thanks for your video, are your chemicals stablized when this video was taken? I know they say that color will be different once chemicals have stabilized
Blended Ivory. Be careful, travertine is very slippery. I wouldn't recommend it. We had our travertine sealer come back and add more shark grip and it helped but I would just do pavers.
What color tile did you use? We are getting ready to do a pool renovation and really love the aqua blue finish but I'm not sure what color of glass tile to go with.
Thanks!!! I just picked Aqua Blue Stonescapes mini pebble. We're adding glass as our pool will be viewed from an upper deck so I'm hoping it was worth the extra. Love the color and thank-you so much for sharing.

I did not experience that issue. I hope it evens out for you.

I like your waterline tile as well. Can you share what you used for that?
Honestly I don't remember, but its a cobalt blue tile.

So glad it was helpful
Pool looks great. What is your tile ? Did you add Puerto Rico or Touch of Glass or is it mini pebble only?
I believe this is just mini pebble.
Pebble only and tile is just a basic cobalt blue tile. Not glass.

As reference my pool is a little over 6ft in deepest part.
Thank you so much!!!
What size is your pool???
Thank you! It’s always good to see actual pools and not advertisements that have been color corrected.

I don't see any green in mine, and the blue color has held up really well 4 years later. Go with your gut, though, if this worries you.
@@stacyerrion6552 Thanks! We went with aqua white, and it's looking great so far. Really happy with it!
Thank you SO MUCH. This is so helpful because it is very difficult picking a color.

Thank you! I am deciding on a color and this happens to be one of my preferred choices but nothing like actually seeing it on a pool.

20+ years.

I haven't noticed this getting any warmer. I wish it did. But, we live in Florida and have a screen room over it now which keeps it cooler.
thank you for posting!

Loved your video. Did you go with white LED because the color won’t show up as well for your pool size ?

Thank you!! It looks great! We also are going with ivory travertine & aqua blue mini pebble!
Thank you for sharing. You helped me decide on pavers too. I love the size of your pool! What are the measurements?
30x14 approx Good Luck
Ha I love your commenting on the Lights!! I have always had that same thought. Esp some of the colors, like Green (yuk) or red..lol
It would be great to see the same thing when you have the pool light on at night. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for your video, are your chemicals stablized when this video was taken? I know they say that color will be different once chemicals have stabilized
Yes it was. This was 30 days after finish was done.
Thanks for the video. It has been very helpful. Your pool looks very nice.
Does this come in other colors like aqua brown?
Working on pool color and travertine color. I think this is beautiful. What color travertine did you use?
Blended Ivory. Be careful, travertine is very slippery. I wouldn't recommend it. We had our travertine sealer come back and add more shark grip and it helped but I would just do pavers.
What color tile did you use? We are getting ready to do a pool renovation and really love the aqua blue finish but I'm not sure what color of glass tile to go with.
I used a 6x6 Cobalt Blue title with a dark gray grout and love it. I recommend darker grout on dark blue tile to avoid the white stripe look.
How deep is your pool - shallowest and deepest?
6.5 deep and 3ft shallow
Are you still happy with the color?
Yes, I am very pleased with the color.
Thanks!!! I just picked Aqua Blue Stonescapes mini pebble. We're adding glass as our pool will be viewed from an upper deck so I'm hoping it was worth the extra. Love the color and thank-you so much for sharing.
Awesome...you'll love the color.
This was great! Thank you so much!

We have been very happy with our choice even a year plus later. Good Luck and enjoy your pool.
