- Had to make a video on one of my all time favorite trilogies that still holds up very well to this day.
Only talking about the original ones because the reboot doesn't exist in my mind!

Fact #51: There is a fourth movie called "The Matrix Resurrections" and it is so good that we still call the Matrix saga a trilogy.

Something most people missed about the blind man.
Both the blind man and Seraph (played by Collin Chou) are actually firewall programs that protect the Oracle.
Which is why the blind man nods, because he marked Morpheus as safe. And why Seraph fights Neo before allowing him to talk to the Oracle.

@@JustinWilliams-ed2ug Everything you said was embarrassingly wrong. The blind man is one of many firewalls. The difference is that the blind man is a scanner program, Seraph is the program that removes viruses and corrupted programs. There was also the surrogate mother that watched over the disciples.
Seraph is the only one capable of holding back agents long enough for the Oracle to escape,
hence him becoming her personal bodyguard and warns her to leave when he detects Agent Smith.
Second, the reason the disciples were not around is because THEY ALREADY FOUND THE ONE AT THE END OF THE FIRST MOVIE!!! They had no reason to stay, and were free to live their lives.
If you actually paid attention to the first 15 minutes of the 2nd movie, you'd know this.
And 3rd, the only thing trash here is a gross misunderstanding of the movies.
This isn't the MCU, bud. You actually have to use your head to understand what's happening.
look up the indian parable of the "blind men and an elephant". its about the limits of perception and the dangers of assumptions. wich i think its really fitting since neo is about to meet the oracle for the first time
Wachovski's really put their soul into this movie, whenever someone asks my favorite movie Matrix comes to mind. I was probably one of the people who was disappointed the most with the 4th movie. Maybe somewhere in the future we can get a prequel or a new animatrix series. I want more Matrix but not like Resurrections.
The only cool idea from resurrections, was the idea of Robots, and A.I. joining the side of the humans. I forget the name of it, maybe sentry?, but the short in the animatrix where the humans jack in with the A.I. to show them human emotion, and in the end, the robot tries so hard to defend the humans. I found that really sad and compelling.

I have a major issue with your take on the Burley Brawl and the sound effects (37?):
Any issues with the CGI you have from within the Matrix, especially during the Burly Brawl, are obviously explained by the Matrix being unable to keep up with this event; this has never happened before, as you find out later, so it's having to drop the level of detail (even though it still looks amazing) to keep the simulation stable and at a high framerate!
Also, the dominos/bowling pin sounds when he throws a Smith into a bunch of Smiths was because, again, this had never happened before, so the Matrix picked the sound it thought was the closest match.
When you think of it this way, not only does it makes sense, it makes MORE sense than if they picked normal sounds or actually had the modern CGI of today, which I feel would actually look worse.
Nice video, some of the facts are still new for me even after all trivia I have read through the years. Small mistake at 17:45, burly brawl is from Reloaded which means 2003 not 1999

I'm sorry I don't mean to keep criticizing but, the duplicate / twin scene, I don't see as laziness. I see it as proof that Neal was one-of-a-kind. as well as Morpheus and his crew.
I watched this with my family and they were confused by it. But my Dad seemed to like and understand it. I loved it. If you understand it it's a sublimely great idea.🙏👍✊

Some people don't notice that there were 2 actresses who played "The Oracle". The first one died during during the making of the 3 movies. Sad. She was good in that role. But, they used it like some other things to show death and rebirth. That movie is packed with amazing ideas.
Who the hell doesn't notice that The Oracle is played by someone else in the 3rd film? 😂😂

All of the streets and intersections named in the matrix actually exist in Chicago. Even tho it's obvious that that's not where it was filmed, I always assumed that's where it was set.

The bit about the sunglasses isn't entirely true, because after the second movie came out, several opticians even in my backwards country sold LICENSED REPLICAS of them. Also, just about all licence plates in Reloaded and Revolutions were bible references.

First off I'm loving your video. I've only gotten two about the five-minute mark but, you've mentioned something that I would like to add on to. It's about the sushi recipes. I find it both ironic and suitable that the code should be sushi recipes, In that when they are inside the matrix have they not been thrown into the sushi machine? (Just a thought.)
side note. the twins appearing in the Red dress scene wasn't because Mouse was lazy.

I don't know why channels make lists like this this long after the movies are released. Almost every fact is basically covered on every other Matrix list which have been on YT for YEARS. It comes off as if The Why basically just ripped most of their facts directly from said lists. In fact I would bet many of them are exactly that

The contents interesting, and fair dues for the video, but the narrator's inflection seems (and I could be wrong) very forced. It's very hard to watch videos with seemingly unnatural upward and downward inflection. Sounds fairly robotic. Though I completely understand the idea (I've heard plenty of newsreader/anchor voices for example), it just doesn't come across well for me. Otherwise, great stuff; If I'm alone in these thoughts, my apologies, it only affected my listening!

I like the three movies. It's a way better trilogy than Star Wars. Especially the Architect dialogue. I don't get why the sequels are so hated. Take out that limbo part, that's basically filler, the story arches perfectly. Really a shame people didn't like it.
I fully agree. After all these years I think I can say that the second movie was actually my favorite. And the Architect scene was 👌👌.
The lobby fight scene is 10x better then the 40 million dollar one, that one kinda sucks with the bad cgi. 🤷♂️

It's annoying hearing a person mispronounce the last name of the creators of the Matrix movies... It is Wachowski not Wakowski. Literally all of the stuff in this video is stuff people would know if they either watched the movies and can follow basic dialogue, or if they watched any of the making of or Matrix Revisited content. I'm rather disappointed that this is something I even started watching, and seriously, learn to pronounce a last name, especially if you are any sort of fan of the Wachowski's.
