- Late 2023 SUPER 16 Gheenoe. Let's establish this first, I can stand on the side rails, and it does not tip over! It handles rough water well. I am a fan! Now, about how I got it.
My name is Mike G. Williams. I am a comedian. I also oversee a mission project in the Dominican Republic. My life is fulfilled and busy. In my spare time, I enjoy getting out on the water. In my early years of comedy, I used to tow a Yamaha Wave Runner behind my truck to enjoy during the day before my events. Hey, you can go crazy waiting for a 7 o'clock show to start.
In 2010, I bought my first Gheenoe and fell in love with it. The stability and the ability to go anywhere there was 4 inches of water was compelling. I eventually owned four Gheenoes (a Classic, a 13' Sport, and an LT25), and now I own a Super 16.
In 2010, I met Harley Gheen, the designer of the Gheenoe. I convinced him that he needed to have some videos that told people about his boats. He told me that he already had more orders than he could fill. Nevertheless, I put together a few product videos for Gheenoe, and the videos took off. This was before social media influencers and paid advertisements. Right after that, my family moved to the Dominican Republic to work with people living at a garbage dump and help girls being trafficked on the street. We kinda fell out of touch (www.CupsMission.com).
Well, the mission is going great, and we now have a full staff of workers. Due to some health problems, I now go back and forth from the Dominican to the U.S. more often. I am trying to take care of myself. The doctor suggested I have a hobby other than working. So, what did I pick? I picked up the telephone and called Sam Gheen (GHEEN-OE).
Here is my new hobby. I pull my 16 Super behind my 4-cylinder car to events, arrive early, and find a river or lake to explore. It has brought me restful and relaxing times. So this video is to show you all the stuff I have done to make my Gheenoe mine. It is very stable, and I feel safe in it wherever I go.
Do I ever slightly overload it? Yep. I pulled two tubers behind it with five in the boat on the Silver River in December. No stability problems at all. I give my two thumbs up to the Gheenoe people and a great thanks to Harley Gheen (see you in Heaven, buddy) for designing a great boat. Get yourself one and be part of the Gheenoe family, and it really is. Gheenoe people are like friendly bikers, only with fewer tattoos, and nobody has a leather life jacket. But there I go, being all mushy and stuff. Sorry.

Hello Mr. Mike, awesome boat. The Super 16 will be my first boat, I'm buying a kayak first due to the ease of transporting while living in a 2nd floor apt. I look forward to seeing you on the water.

For the swamp I'll stick with my 16' tin can boat. Hard to beat a mod V jon boat for all around utility and stability. For salt water I'm looking at a S16, LT25 or Carolina Skiff.

Im 230lbs and plan on fishing with my 50lb dogs, would this be a stable option. Looking at a 2014 super 16
I put myself (320), my friend (185), a big cooler, and have no problem whatsoever. GHEENOE! Go for it. You will be happy.
