So like the title says!!! We are comparing the Gheenoe Super 16 to the Gheenoe Classic. I will be giving you the specifications for each model as well as putting them side by side to let you see the differences between the 2 models. I will be running both of these boats and the ones we test are fully decked out with all of the options to show you how we have ours set up. I also have videos on each of these models listed below with detailed walk throughs that you can check out if you are looking at getting one of these models.

So many gheenoes and so many options. I still love the Gheenoe LT 25 with Stick steer in the back up high.

Thanks for the tour. I like both. Looking for a boat for me and my son but we're both 300 pounders. Just want something to panfish on.
I personally don't think you can go wrong with a bass tracker for that style of fishing
I miss my old gheenoe except when Im out in the channel of the Indian river durring a summer storm. These boats are great for shallow back waters, not good for wide open bodies of water. Just a FYI! I traveled the head waters of the St. Johns river all the way up to the mouth in Jacksonvile Florida. They have shallow drafts allowing for crossing logs and other obstacles other boats just cant handle. A bit unnerving when 18 foot gators cross underneath but I've never been flipped by one. They are stable fishing platforms with both tunels under the boat. If you find yourself in ruff chop head to shore the bilge pump wont keep up! Many a time I swam with rope in tow! The boat wont sink but it fills with water that will kill the engine! Like I stated I miss mine, thinking of getting a new one. High sided!
Awesome. Sounds like some good memories. Simple boats that are fun ti fish out. Yeah open water they do struggle. Tight lines!
Those look like they would be great on the river in Indiana. I'm going to have to see if they are available around here because this has peaked my interest.
Yeah they are a blast and great for back waters and shallow water applications. It’s fun to drive for me because it’s so small.
@@JackedUpFishing what is a good price point on a Super 16? I know that it will change because of area but it would be a solid place to start when I go looking
@@larrysutton6530 in this market it’s hard to say. But I would prob say between 6-8k if it’s setup with good power and options.
Did you ever get the 40hp motor “dialed in” and if so what was your increase in MPH?
My buddy used it a total of 10 times I bet. Never did anything but fished it. Sold it last year
Nice ride sir. If you don't mind me asking- what made you decide on LT25 over the Super 16/18? I haven't seen one in person yet is the LT wider than the Super 16?
I think the LT 25 is a little bigger than the super 16. I am not quite sure honestly. The super 16 was awesome. But my buddy sold it a couple years ago and got a bay boat. I am building a Jon boat right now for this type of backwater fishing.

The super 16 does not have a keel that goes all the way to the back it only goes about 3 feet from the bow and then it flattens out to a pad.

The super does not need a 40. Way to much weight and kills the draft in shallow water
I agree 100 percent!
If you use it for long range camp trips you do need the 40. With a tiller.
Now slap a 40 2 stroke on it!

Take it in the wake low sides are not your friend
I agree this is the Gheenoe Classic bs super 16. These are not the low sider models
Classic is closer in comparisson to an LT10

Super does not need a heavy ass 40 4 stroke. Mine has a 25 yamaha ,it's perfect
Yep I agree 100 percent. I think the weight actually hurt the performance a little
