I grew up in the late 70s early 80s I was big music lover but for some reason I hadn’t heard of Bobby Caldwell. I don’t know if it was my city or just in general why I never saw the music video for What you wanna do for love until I fully grown my parents weren’t playing him and my grandparents were playing him 😅and I just feel like I missed out . Rest In Peace Bobby 🥲
I thank you young man for clearing that up. I read that somewhere but I was getting ready to dig into finding out the truth on why they covered his face up. I never understood that. I noticed one other thing that you have a maze production shirt on...... Are you a part of setting up chores for them?..... If so, can you please tell me? Is Maze going to make it to Carolina this year? We truly miss him here..... Thank you. A sincere true fan, Susan Marie
I'm not sure if Maze is coming to Carolina this year but I've been waiting to move to Charlotte since 2020. God still has me in a 'holding pattern.' So, I'll be there when He releases me, by His Grace...🦋🌹
I don't know, but I suspect that the concern might've been that he'd be seen as somehow less authentic and would lose fans. Ridiculous to consider, but that'd be my guess. Before Dr. Dre took a chance on Eminem, a lot of power-brokers passed on him.
I had no idea he passed… He was an absolutely brilliant artist … This makes me sad 😢
Bobby Caldwell, Great artist
Bobby C’s voice was so smooth and soulful. If you haven’t listened to him acapella, give it a listen.
TOP NOTCH REPORTING SIR! STRAIGHT TO THE POINT AND HIGHLY INFORMATIVE...
Just discovered him in December and I’m so sad that he just passed. His work is a hidden gem. I love his sound. He has great songs.
I just said out loud "I just discovered him and he Fn dies?" 😢
He was amazing....❤❤❤
RIP great singer

RIP, BC. His music transcended cultural and racial barriers.
