In fact for money they lie to people, they play with people's iman. And why only surahs that revealed in Mecca only? What is the hidden interest behind of it?

The Qur’an was put in a specific order for a reason and was revealed in a specific order for a reason. Not sure why we should read it in any different order than God intended for us which is not chronological in revelation.

I don't understand your point. You can read the Surahs in any order, but if you're talking about those verses with this Qur'anic symbol(لا) in some mus'hafs that indicate that you have to complete reading those verses
Also from what I have heard so far this Quran only has Makkan Surahs. The surahs revealed in Medina deals with wars, legislation our approach towards Christians and Jews. If true, then given the current political climate, I hardly believe this to be a coincidence.

This Quran is meant to have Arabic(original) and a translation in any language. Not allowed. There's no Arabic to read. Mufti is wrong in doing this.
I don't think you are aware of this but many translations with no Arabic exist, and are helpful for non-muslims and non-Arabic speakers. It is given nowhere that a translation without Arabic is not allowed. What is said however is that Quran in any language except Arabic is not considered Quran as it is a translation done by humans, and not the original word of Allah

What I understood is that the issue brought up about the order and information of the book is due to advertisement towards anyone who wants to read it. But since it doesn't cover the whole Qur'an, it might not be as useful for uneducated non-Muslims. Instead the explanation of the historical and chronological context of how the Qur'an was revealed would be suited towards more Islamically educated people, especially because the book prefaces itself by assuming the reader's basic understanding of Hijrah, Makkah and Medina. That way the use for images wouldn't be as necessary and might have a much better reception, and more detail could be implemented into the book to perhaps become more beneficial for that target audience.

The inclusion of images seem to be an issue to me. Allah did not reveal the quran with the instruction to include images or draw pictures. It reminds me of how Persian artists would draw images of the Israʾ and Miʿraj, which is not right. May Allah guide and protect us all.

This is your opinion. And it does mean it’s right. Just like how it is bad to make haraam halal, it’s also bad to make something halaal, haram. I don’t know how many times they have to say that this not the Arabic Quran. Allah revealed the Arabic Quran. Frankly, I like the images as it does/can make you ponder. Exactly as Mufti Menk say with the ant. Perhaps the image of the ant or “morning star” can make you think about it more. It’s fine that you don’t like it, but don’t say it’s wrong or haraam
@@blizzard6741 The inclusion of an image next to a verse implies that such an addition improves or builds upon the Quran. Surely, this is not right. Also, did you notice, I did not say it was haram, but rather it's concerning. Also, the issue here is that the introduction of images will just invite more images to be added, and this opens the door to idolatry.
100% agreed bidaah is forbiden. There was no pictures revealed to the prophet muhammad saw. I believe everything should just be left as it was not.

They did not change the Quran. You have not probably looked into tafsirs and genres which deal with chrological order of revelation. It was never meant to be a pure translation.
Besides, the orders of the surah isn't really structured by Rasulullah. There were a lot of Qurans with different orders of Surah before Rasm Uthmani
Personally this just gives non Muslims fuel to say look your Quran is different this one doesn't have all the chapters in it, what I don't understand is the wording of it why call it "The New Quran" why not just call it a tafseer which is what it really is.

Rightly so, that is a wrong idea! But that's why it was used in the title of this video in quotation marks, but the video didn’t comdemn it. If it was claimed to be some new Quran the language about it would be different and no one would be defending it.
im a little bit worried about this..why we need to translate half of the surah with pictures..this is a holy book.
I am also not a fan of pictures in the Quran. I believe this is just volume 1 of a three-part series.
In this day and age, this is the length we have to go for people to have a chance at understanding the Quran. I am not sure why he decided to do it in chronological order if he didn't want to pair it with seerah, since the message of a whole surah gets split and it becomes harder to follow this way. But pictures in the book, I repeat this is a translation, not the Quran itself, are not a problem. The thing is, we are used to the way Quran has always been. Nowhere does Allah say don't make this message easier to swallow and comprehend or more attractive to read. We read Quran in beautiful melodies, that was how it attracted people too. But in a book, this sense of atmosphere can be given through pictures of the beautiful creations of Allah.

I agree with you bro Syfe. It shoud be titled 'Selected Verses From The Quran' and not 'New Quran' as the title could mislead new converts.
There are 2 problems you missed.
1.) The translators are sufi so their deviant aqeedah could seep into the translation of the book. Mufti Menk's manhaj is not clear so we don't know if he let any deviant translations slip.
2.) Is there a clear warning within the Quran that clealy states the purpose of the book because people could give this as gifts and not tell them to go to the website. This will make some people think that it's the actual Quran. The title is not clear enough for non-muslims because they wouldn't know that the Quran isn't actually in chronological order and would think that this is how the Quran should be read anyways.
My final take is generally that people shouldn't read the translation until a body of trusted scholars approve of it's translations.
Not all sufis are non Muslim so let us not generalise all of them the same way we don’t generalise all shias since there is different sects within them

Learn your religion and recognize that deviants aren't to be taken from. What I do recognize is that sufis (as defined in the current times) and shias are deviants but not all of them are kuffar and I definetly wouldn't get my deen from them.

Its a guidebook to understand the Quran if you are either weak in arabic or simply dont speak it. Its very good for new reverts or people who are still in learning of arabic. Nothing wrong here and he himself said that its not some new Quran version.
But why only cover the makkan surahs and not when Prophet Muhammed saw went to Madinah? Also, theres already plenty of english translations to quran. In my eyes this is pointless and deters people from the original scriptures. Also, Mufti says he made it because it’s easier to read and digest. But. Quran shouldn’t be easy to read and digest, a muslim should put effort in and discipline to learn and obtain the information, it shouldn’t be easy so you can get more good deeds from Allah for your effort. It’s a ridiculous concept and idea from Mufti Menk imo I hope his intentions were pure and Allah can guide him.

Yes You can find many english translations but as you may know Arabic is a very hard language to translate into english because english is a very simple and flawed language. Yes you are Right Quran should not be made easier thats why this isnt the Quran but rather an english guide for the Quran. And yes muslims should put effort and discipline to learn the Quran but you cant expect a revert that does not know anything about arabic to understand The holly Quran after 2 weeks of reverting. And although a revert can still read the quran in english its still not the same thing as in arabic. As someone who used to have a very weak arabic bagage i used to read the Quran in english but now that i learned arabic properly I can assure you thats reading the Quran in arabic is a whole other experience. Its not a ridiculous concept and its also not the first time a guidebook for the quran has been out.

The fact that many muslims are trying to tell the others this is not the Qur'an speaks a lot of what Muftu Menk is doing, he and his people are trying his best to confuse people. The design alone promotes it as a Qur'an, this is what we as a graphic designers do.

As someone who only read it in arabic since it's my first language i didn't even hear about it, and yes i agree with you i really don't like that they didn't put all the chapters in and added pictures in this is unacceptable.

@@bluelight8664 for sure it's good for people who only know english, but it could have been done much differently leaving some chapters out and including pictures is prohibited for a coran, this isn't how someone should discover the coran first time, he'll be very confused for many reasons.
It’s obvious they plan to make two volume, its already stated its covering the revelations revealed in chronological order in Makkah. There is probably will be another book coming regarding the verses revealed in Madinah.
Your wish was to make it easy for the new Muslims to better understand AL QUR'AAN , in that case you should follow each Chapter as it is in the Original One.
Even if you had to divide in thirty parts , you just simply have to maintain the Original Order.
This book should not be considered a Qur'an because that's dangerous, this is just a book, not a Qur'an, people and especially the non Muslim will not really know that unless they open the book, which is also dangerous, I don't like how this looks.

The order of the Qur'an was directed by Rasulullah shallallahu alaihi wassalam himself, which ayahs in which surah, and which surah is 1st, 2nd, etc in the Qur'an, that's why even in different Qira'at the order of the Qur'an is the same. I'm not sure the intention of the chronological order thing but that is problematic.
Another is the title, they should just change it to Suwarul Makiyyah or Before the Hijrah or the likes. Qur'an as revealed gives the false image that the Qur'an we have is not as revealed or at least that's the impression that I get.

I think it could be better if they included all the Surahs as the named it "The Quran As Revealed" as if these Surahs are only ones that are revealed and others are written by man. so including Meccan Surahs only instead of naming the book "The Quran As Revealed" they could name it "Meccan Surahs as Revealed" or something similar and specific.
Very well said. This kind of books that doesn’t have order they are fine in my opinion as long as they are used in academic environments or for people who wants to do academic research about Qur’an. But you can’t not sell them for masses cuz misconceptions are gone raise (my opinion). And the pictures… that is a big… anyway…

Jazak Alkah Khairan Brother Syfe. This book has nothing to do with Glorious Quran. The approach is erratic . The compilation and chronology are part of the ijmaa when Uthman Ibn Afffen may Allah s.w.t be satisfied with him made the book compilation on the basis of the Prophet Peace be upon him recitation Ijmaa. This kind of appeoach is innovation simply. Good translations are already there : Pickthall, international etc.
This is useful if it includes the relevant parts of the seerah alongside it.

A simple fix tbh adding like Makkah Part and then during explanation and translation of every surah they could add a note on each surah saying what is the correct Order for it in the Quran and add (This is just a translation of the surahs in the order in which they were reveled on the Prophet during Makkah.)
I am new muslim. There is almost no muslim people in my country, the closest mosque is in the other country next to mine. The only source of knowledge and understanding are books and internet. But because everyone can say whatever on internet, it's easier for me to have as a source of information book. I am not even native english speaker and Qur'an in my language is not exactly something i would like to read, based on the fact i live in one of the most islamophobic countries, i dont believe that translation in my language has 0 error in it. So for someone like me, something like this can be really helpful to understand better everything that i should understand as a muslim. Knowing chronologically 'what was going on' makes it easier for me to understand.

@@speedster4647 currently i have english one (with arabic, sadly without transliteration so i can't learn how to read it). My mother language is Czech tho. Czech is very islamophobic and racist country, majority of people here are strictly atheist. So i doubt there is Czech Qur'an with 0 errors in it.... It looks inviting for people who do not know islam..it triggers to read it. And after that incha allah thry will come back to islam.
I’ve actually wanted this for a while, before I even heard of its existence. If you go through prophet Muhammed’s (ﷺ) story, year by year, and say, in this context, with this experience, Allah revealed xyz. It’s actually quite useful.

Knowing the order in which each ayat & surah was revealed (especially in the historical context in which the prophet Muhammad AS received them) is a good knowledge to have.
However, the Quran itself is in a specific order for a reason, because the miracle of it is not only in its wording & content, but also in its structure.
Thats why calling it "Quran" or "New Quran" is problematic. It should be renamed/rebranded as either a Tafsir or history of Quran. Calling it a genuine Quran is just factually incorrect...

Really good video. If the book is getting bought by many non-muslims and maybe on will gift it to someone the people might get confused because it is in a different order and less surah's. The book should have a clear and big warning that this is not the full Quran and a different order.

The arrangement is to make it more easier to read, or memorise. I mean, thanks to this arrangement, most children begin their memorization of the Qur'an from Juzu 30 rather than Al Baqarah
They must put that information in the book at the intro.
Remember the Quran was revealed in Arabic so anyone who has wants to get the full experience should read the original book

I can understand why that book is in chronological order, as stated in the title "The Quran As Revealed" which is very informative as a muslim myself. For me, I found nothing wrong with it. But, this will become an issue for non-muslims who never read the real quran and use this book as their single reference. Just my 2 cents.

So menk has seen the goodness of having pictures in the quran which the companions of the prophet didn't see !
They should only promote this book to new Muslims who already have a Quran.
the only issue is dont market the product as is look like new version of Quran, it make people confused.
I stick with the old and original Quran. I believe that Allah will preserve Al Quran until the Day of Judgment.

As long as it helps me understand the Quran and it’s not a replacement of the holy book why not Al hammdulilah. And to make it clear it is not replacing the Quran it’s helping the people understand the Quran.

The name is the first issue of misleading. Second is they're releasing more books which seems like a series which makes a problem like one can't know volume number of the series. Also series have different names which further may cause confusion for new Muslim or someone look at this book.
