Playing surah al baqarah daily in my kitchen has helped me in recitation though I'm unable to concentrate on whole recitation but partially paying attention during my work has helped me a lot. Now I feel very comfortable while reciting Surah al baqarah from my mushaf. Al hamdulillah
If you are playing a Tilawah of a Surah either for help in learning or with attentive listening is actually extremely good and preferable. But using Qur'an as background noise (e.g. in restaurants or in shopping malls or even at home) without paying any attention is actually not a good treatment for The Holy Qur'an. So, if you play, you should listen as well, or don't play if you can't listen with attention (at least some attention). A completely separate point is that if you want to follow a sunnah for a particular effect from the Qur'an as mentioned in Sahih Ahadith, (Surah Baqarah, or Surah Al-Mulk, or Surah Al Yaseen, or Surah Al-Kahf on specific occasions or effects), then, you have to recite it yourself. Not just listen to it.
I actually learned several things I've been doing my whole life and had no clue at all it had no basis in the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet PBUH. SubhanAllah, JAK for sharing this information.
These are really important to know. Different practices regarding the holy Quran prevail throughout the world. You are gathering those practices and discuss their Shariah status! It's a really great job. Jazak Allaahu Khair.
one point I would like to add is people singing the Quran, without any tajweed rules. and since you already have made a video on the don'ts I also recommend you to make a video on what we should actually be doing with the Quran, i.e. how much to recite, from where to learn, how much to memorize, etc.
@rax7418 I'm not sure what you meant, but if you mean why we cannot do dua, salah and reading the Quran in other languages. this is the answer: 1/ In fact, There's freedom of language in Dua (you can make dua in whatever language you want) 2/ We read Quran for two reasons: first, to get the reward from reciting it and second, to ponder its meaning. and as we know, the Quran is the word of Allah in Arabic. so you should recite it in Arabic to get the reward of reciting. On the other hand, you'll get rewarded for pondering its meaning if you read the translation InshaAllah. as translations are considered to be Tafsirs of the Quran. 3/ The Quran in Salah is mandatory to be recited in Arabic for the reason I mentioned previously. (Translations are just tafsirs not the divine speech). but for other aspects in Salah, like Dhikr, Dua, Tashahhud... there's is a disagreement between scholars in whether it's allowed to recite them in a foreign language or not. but overall, It's better to memorize Dhikr and Tashahhud in Arabic to recite them because they are essential while you can make Dua in Salah in a foreign language if you don't speak Arabic. and Allah knows best. Barakallah feek for the video Akhii, Another habit you can add in sha Allahu ta ala is the practice of sajdah not being done correctly when a person reads and he reaches the verse of sajdah. The person goes into sajdah while holding the mushaf not allowing the 7 limbs to prostrate correctly. Barakallah feek Jazakallah Khair
Jazaakumllaahu khayran. Other points that I would like you to include are: 1. Singing with the Quran or some of the ayaat 2. Misquoting the Quran to apply to a situation to which it does not apply 3. On the 4 point, there is a sunnah after completing reciting quran, he said (PBUH) :سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك اشهد ان لا اله الا انت استغفرك واتوب اليك
This dhikr you mentioned is said after finishing a meeting or a gathering, and not after reciting the Quran.
No, if you wanna see it, its found in
