Kurt Zouma decides to volley his cat for absolutely no reason....resulting in a week's worth of media outrage, huge punishment and his brother getting suspended from his own club.....
Were the punishments too severe or not severe enough??

Lads!! I have come to spread the word of our lord and saviour Noni Madueke. 19 years old and plays with number 10 shirt for PSV Eindhoven. Sadly he's been injured most of the season but at the start he was tearing it up. Now, in his first game back, he scored a goal and assisted 1. 2nd game: another assist and he was just ruining defenders on the wing.
This guy's ceiling is so high, imo. He's destined for the top. He has the right mentality, work ethic and talent. He was in the Spurs academy and could have stayed but went to PSV for first team minutes and developing himself in a new league. That's a ballsy move for an English player.
He will go to a big club some day and kill it. I just don't know which.

West Ham's dealing with the Zouma situation is whats so wrong. Wasn't dropped for animal cruelty, and Moyes saying he's putting football above the situation. I get his point of view but this has led to the whole thing being a mess, and nobody can agree on what the punishment should be. Should have been taken out of the firing line, let the RSPCA do their thing and then act accordingly

I mean he kinda has a point. How many cultures still eat dogs and cats and have never lived in a world where that wasn't acceptable. You ask one of them to stop killing a cat and they will look at you funny. Not everyone lives in the same culture and has the same standards. But, I will say Zouma should know better and was completely in the wrong. But at the same time, most of these people have no right to talk about animal rights while they contribute to factory farming where animals are put in gas chambers and tortured for your pleasure just because you like the taste of them. Unless you are a vegan, most of us have no room to talk about animal abuse when we contribute to animal abuse daily. We like to think we are above it all, and better human beings, but in reality, we pick and choose when we want to be righteous, and this is me included.

It's a weird situation.
On one hand, some people are saying that the punishment is harsh but tbf if a video of an average person emerged in which he is kicking a cat, he would most likely be fired or at least suspended.
On the other side, I feel like people just want to shame him to show 'nice and caring' they are towards animals. But most of those people probably eat something from animals which are in most cases brutally abused before they are killed for food.

The funniest thing about this whole Zouma situation is that most people are reacting like they don't pay for the mutilation, entrapment and murder of animals on a daily basis. Is it worse to kick a cat or clip its teeth out and cut off its tail, without anesthetic, ultimately cutting its throat after putting it through a gas chamber? What Zouma did is despicable but the outrage people are feeling should be an opportunity for them to reflect on their relationship with the animals which end up on their plate. People need to be careful asking for players to be dropped for animal abuse because if they got thier way most of the prem wouldn't be allowed to play.
