Maybe? I think the mistake a lot of people make is they tighten the lower shock bolt while the truck is jacked up, so as soon as they let it down it tears. From that point the bushing stands no chance. I may have even made this mistake I don't remember
I just talked to Josh at 1st gen OR at length about this issue. it seems ot be a problem on all except the Bilsteins. I am using Bilsteins when I get them installed. if they bust, I am going to a coilover like Fox 2.0 with the metal bearing/bushing. I am sick of it too. It should not be a problem, but apparently it is.
I’ve watched quite a few of your vids, after you lifted your Sequoia can’t recall if you did the ECGS bearing replacement? You respond unlike other channels.
Yes I did! When I re-geared I took the opportunity to do the bushing and it's been great. I know I cant stand when channels don't respond, It's kinda part of the deal. Right now my channel is small enough that I can answer all the comments but who knows what the future holds????
I've had great luck reaching out to companies for support lately! SPC just warranteed my ball joints after running them for 2 years. It's always worth a shot
What was the number on the actual bushing? Not the bag. 110-110-75? Or 110-110-122? Please let me know. The picture on 1stgenoffroad shows 110-110-75 on the bushing and I found the same bushing for less on another site and ordered. But then I noticed the bag in your video and the sku on 1stgen say 110-110-122 so I’m hoping it’s the correct picture and they didn’t use a picture from a different product.
Seems these OME bushings are always wearing out....I'd love to see if anyone has a lead on a Polyurethane Replacement? I've looked at Whiteline 100 Series Lower Shock bushings but they were larger than the OME bushings..... would love to swap these out with something more durable
Thank you very much .... Common problem on all sequoia shocks 👍
Yeah it is
this is super late but i literally just had this happen to my OMEs. good to know they’ll replace these!
For sure, I always heard ARB had great support and they do
Aren't those going to do the same thing in another year? I'm so over this issue I'm going to weld a steel bushing into my shocks.
Maybe?

@@treehouseoffroad 👍🏻, is it only the driver side? That’s what others have said but I don’t know why it wouldn’t be both?
It is only the driver side, I cannot remember why.
@@treehouseoffroad read further, driver side is needle bearing, passenger is a ball bearing.
@@slim3time yup a huge one what's read further mean
I might need to see if Bilstein will do this for my 6112s when they go!

Those struts are long gone bro I couldn't tell you the part number
@@treehouseoffroad I figured. Guess we will see when they get here! Thanks.
@@treehouseoffroadwould they work for OEM shocks? I’m looking for a pair of bushings for oem struts on an 03 sequoia but can’t find any!
@@OverlandSeries couldn't tell you man sorry. Those OEM units are meant to be replaced whole but you probably know that
@@treehouseoffroad yeah man, looking into regular replacement struts, thanks though!
I wanna see the long travel
Video sir
It's coming along sir
Do they also sell shock bushings for the toyota fortuner?
OME sells replacement bushings for the shocks they manufacture. You might have to look elsewhere for what you need

This isn't a bad idea, you may be on to something. It would be an easy enough piece to have manufactured
