He said that in the Hadith it concerns about a speacial kind of Lizard which is harmful in the house and outside. That‘s why it was ordered to be killed, not because of the fire (Ibrahim as.) Dr Zakir said harmful insects are in general mustahhab for you to kill. If it is not harmful or not a threat for you it is makruh to kill a insect.
What about spider. They are also venomous. Is there any hadeeth about spider's?

The term "Fowaisiq" that was mentioned is several correct/authentic narrations of prophet Muhammad PBUH means that these creatures like mice, rats, a certain type of lizards " the Gecko" and others are evil or malice. The origin of the word "fisq" which means to rebel against a law or disobey or it can mean to go out. These types of creatures usually go out from their places of dwelling/holes and cause evil things in human's homes. Like a mouse can starts a fire as was mentioned in one "hadith", and we were ordered to kill the mice/rats in the state or "Ihram or Ihlal" in hajj as other animals as well. So Those animals have no sanctity at all. So it refers to anything that can cause damage to property and destroy people's wealth/property. Islam has ways to protect it's followers from any harm. All praise and Thanks to Allah "Alhamdulillah" for it's blessings.

Why did Allah create them in the first place?
1400 yrs back, there might be a certain species of gecko which could be extremely toxic, and which might have gone extinct for now. Remember they lived in earthen houses so high chances of invasion of scorpion, cobras etc. But in today's world there are minimal to no threat when house gecko is concerned. Nevertheless mosquitoes, are a concern for tropical countries.

The gekko that we found in houses is said to be very venomous, they say that it can stay on the wall and throw its tongue into the food and specially the milk, it spit is said to be dangerous for people. In my country when a lezard or a coackroach fall into water or even onto the sauce, we leave it from there and use the food, the sauce and whatever else, feeling at ease. But when it is a house lizard that falls into the sauce or the water, then never will anybody eat that after. This animal is very creepy.

Ok, it’s understandable that if some thing is a threat to your life and you have no other option except to kill.
In order to fully understand and apply that Hadith, we also need to acknowledge the negative impact of that practice and weigh it accordingly in order to come to a final conclusion.
let’s talk about lizards, home lizards to be specific also know as gecko. We know that everything has a purpose hence lizards also have a purpose, infact a big one. Lizards play a vital role in our eco system as they are consumers of pests and insects. Back then, people especially living in forested areas did not have the type of tech to keep the crawling and flying insects away so they would rely on nature to take that responsibility.
South Africa, Australia etc people there prefer to have a lizard in their home as the repellents are not that efficient and are costly.
When I hear people talk about killing geckos for good deeds, it just upsets me because it implies that lizards are purposeless and must not exist with humans.
I think rather than saying that we should admire and make use of the creation of Allah.
And I don’t think so a home lizards has any intention to harm humans, they just doing their thing, it’s our job to stop their path from going where you don’t want it to go.
I see people here using all sorts of cheap,poisoned toxic insect repellents outside and inside their rooms, homes in presence of children , 😂 major contradiction here.
With all that being said, I think we are misinterpreting this Hadith.
P.s: home lizards aka geckos are not poisonous nor venomous.

My cat always hunt and eat those house gecko and never got sick. I would never kill them myself though, same as cats and birds, they don't cause any harm directly or indirectly.

House Lizards are non venomous . Although reptile skin can transmit disease like salmonella , this does not necessitate the elimination of creature who follow their instincts. I fell in love with Dear Muhammad's (peace be upon him) wonderful nature ( I am an Atheist born in a Christian family) . I want to believe the he ( peace be upon him) was a vegan. This is the only thing keeping me from converting to Islam.

Please let me know if somebody knows "If a house gecko is venemous, I have seen people eating it and drinking even in wine. Also zoology says, house gecko is not venemous and even if it bites there will be no specific harm causes to human".

Not all species of lizards are harmful, more likely beneficial to the ecosystem.
I think Islam recommends to kill only harmful beings, people usually sees snakes and lizards and thinks every species are harmful.
Accordingly the most harmful creature of ecosystem is human, so kill them first
And the rule to kill these is, kill them in 1 shot so they can feel less pain, if you kill in 1 shot you will get reward (100 good deed), if you kill in 2 shots then less reward, 3 shot more less reward.
Killing them for fun, or killing by torture is a mazor sinful act.

There are different types of lizard amongest house lizards. However some lizards live close to the houses but rare they come, the dotted venomous kind which will lark close to your kitchen stove and fall on the food and make food poisonous enough even to get anyone killed. Although most of the house lizards are venomous but their venoms can only cause addiction nothing else and if you notice they never come close to your kitchen ever ~
