Because they live in an era WHICH close to the death of our messenger( the word our include you) and they been learning from people surrounding our prophets. Thus they made a book and sunnah out of it. ITS NOT LIKE BUT ITS CLOSE and which is most likely what our prophets did. What our prophets did are surely followed by His surrounding which again are passed from one to another.
In fact there should not be sections in Islam ,but in practice and in reality there are. If not, Why those who call themselves Sunni and those who call themselves Shia, have some (but not all) different beliefs and practices???? Isn't the right path only one? And both groups identify with Islam. That's true. They are muslims. But who is more right? Which one is the true Islam? There should be an answer to that which cannot be "both". That's true muslims must be united, sunnies and shias are brothers. But we should "think" and always try to improve ourselves.
A muslim must remember the five pillars of Islam, he/she mustn't forget that "A muslim is brother to another muslim" according to a hadith. We must keep on working on the knowledge of our Deen and must remember that whoever follows five pillars of Islam and admits that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last messenger of Allah is among us. And after that when it comes to who is right or who is wrong, verily Allah is the best judge.

I agree with many things they say, in terms of ethics and other things related to Islam. I find them useful and informative. To be honest, I disagree with some of the points they mention, esp. about Sahabbah, Ahlul bait, and the topic of Welayat. Among Shia UA-cam channels, I like Islamic pulse 2 and Islam peaceful religion. I recommend that you take a look at them, brother. Peace and love to all muslims.

First the Hadith is not Bukhari akhi the Hadith, You have said is in Tirmidhi. But the Hadith in Tirmidhi, in my opinion is not Sahih, because of 2 narrator. Second the Hadith in Muslim, said that we should follow the quran. And then he said i remind you of my family(3 times). He didnt say follow brother. Third, if you accept the Hadith Thaqalyn in Muslim than you have to accept that the Wives of the Prophet saw are also part of the Ahlul Bayt. Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden.Sahih Muslim 2408 a And only one question brother. If is it so important to follow ahlul bayt, show me one cleare verse, where it stands, that we have to follow ahlul bayt. I can show you a verse, where we have to follow the Muhajirun and Ansar.

Ali AS hated Omar AS so much he gave him his daughters hand in marriage. Ali AS hated Omar, Abu Bakr and Uthman AS so much named his children after all three of them. Ali AS was titled asadullah for his bravery but let Omar and Abu Bakr AS come in and kills his wife and unborn child and still named his kids after them. Imam Zain al Abideen hated Omar AS so much he named his son Omar al Ashraf too. Imam Musa Al Kadhim hated Aisha so much he named his daughter after her. Whoever is saying that Shia is mentioned in Quran in Surah Al Qasas(28:15). Yes it's mentioned but let me tell you that what does it actually means. شِيعَتِهِ is an Arabic word which literally means sects. It has nothing to do with Shia Sunni what we know today. Surah Al Qasas Chapter 28, verse 15- وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ ۖ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُضِلٌّ مُبِينٌ. Maede 67 This refers to the day of Ghadir. Muslims should follow the teachings of the Holy Quran, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad(SAW), and the teachings of the 12 Imams, peace be upon them.
Dr Zakir is only saying what is in the Quran but is not answering the question. The questioner is asking about real life. Sunnis who follow Prophet Muhammad and Shias who follow Ali. Actually they are following who they are descended from and some are following their leader who started the school.

Careful brother, you are a little too arrogant in your faith. Maybe you are lucky enough to be brought up understanding a simple truth. Imam Hasan and Imam Husain, the two princes of the youths of paradise. The Holy Prophet left behind him two most precious things; the Holy Qur'an and his ahlulbayt. They are the heirs of the Holy Prophet’s knowledge and wisdom.

Otherwise, at the time of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.S , there were no sects.
So, we are supposed to follow Allah's words ( Qur'an) and obey Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.S' sayings ( Ahadeeth).
After the death of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, Muslims had two options to seek guidance from; the ahlulbayt (the holy Household of the Holy Prophet). Others.
The ahlulbayt are those family members of the Holy Prophet who grew up in his blessed lap. Islam, Qur'an and the sharia'h was revealed in their house. The angels descended with the blessings and the mercy of Allah in their house. Muslims are obligated to send blessings upon not only the Holy Prophet but ALSO HIS FAMILY. The holy Prophet loved them the most and they loved him the most. They are the inheritors of the Holy Prophet’s knowledge and wisdom. Amongst the ahlulbayt, you have people like Imam Ali, the gateway to the city of knowledge (of the Holy Prophet). Lady Fatimah, the Chief of the women of the paradise. First the Hadith is not Bukhari akhi the Hadith, You have said is in Tirmidhi. But the Hadith in Tirmidhi, in my opinion is not Sahih, because of 2 narrator. Second the Hadith in Muslim, said that we should follow the quran. And then he said i remind you of my family(3 times). He didnt say follow brother. Third, if you accept the Hadith Thaqalyn in Muslim than you have to accept that the Wives of the Prophet saw are also part of the Ahlul Bayt.
Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden.Sahih Muslim 2408 a

Whoever is saying that Shia is mentioned in Quran in Surah Al Qasas(28:15). Yes it's mentioned but let me tell you that what does it actually means. شِيعَتِهِ is an Arabic word which literally means sects. It has nothing to do with Shia Sunni what we know today.
Surah Al Qasas
Chapter 28, verse 15-
وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ ۖ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُضِلٌّ مُبِينٌ.
Translation-
And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!"

2) إِنّما وَلیکُمُ اللهُ و رَسولُهُ والّذینَ ءَامَنوا الَّذینَ یقِیمُونَ الصَّلوةَ و یؤتُونَ الزَّکوة و هُم راکِعونَ. Maede 55
The last part of this verse refers to Amir Al Mumenin Ali ibn Abi Taleb (pbuh)
3) أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ ۚ وَاللَّـهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ. Maede 67
This refers to the day of Ghadir.
The Hadith al-Ghadir is a part of the sermon of Ghadir where the Prophet (s) says, "Anyone I am his master (Wali), then 'Ali (a) is his master."
4) أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَطِيعُواْ اللّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ الرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلاً . Nisa 59

The word Shia, Shiah, Shiite, or Shi'ah was used many times in the Holy Quran. It means sect or band but it mostly has a NEGATIVE meaning. In this verse, God warns us not to divide ourselves into Shiites and declare people who do so as people who don't belong to the prophet Muhammad (p)

(Notice that the word "Shia" is explicitly used, letter by letter, in the above verse as well as the following verse.) In another verse, Quran talks about the Shia of Moses versus the enemies of Moses:
“[One day] he (Moses) entered the city at a time when its people were not likely to take notice. He found there two men fighting, this one from among his Shia (followers), and that one from his enemies. The one who was from his Shia (followers) sought his help against him who was from his enemies. So Moses hit him with his fist, whereupon he expired. He said, ‘This is of Satan’s doing. Indeed he is clearly a misguiding enemy”(28:15).
In the above verse of Quran, one is named the Shia of Moses (PBUH) and the other one is named the enemy of Moses, and the people at that time were either the Shia or the enemy of Moses (PBUH). Thus, Shia is an official word used by Allah in His Quran for His high rank prophets as well as their followers. Do you want to say Prophet Abraham was sectarian? How about Prophet Noah and Prophet Moses (PBUTH ALL)?

1) About sects in Islam, he clearly answered "*according* to Quran in chapter 6 verse 159,
Allah says

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects)1, you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allâh, Who then will tell them what they used to do.
----> by this Dr. Zakir explained, in Islam there's no such thing as sects like shia, sunni or whatever else people claimed. So question "what wrong did shia do? 2) Regarding why Saddam Hussein killed Shias, Dr. Zakir Naik honestly answered "I don't know whether it is true, media said it". How could he be answerable to something that not even proven to have happened (media said = hearsay from unverified source because media can say, write or broadcast literally anything), nor that he was there witnessing the crime if it was really committed, nor that he was the one did the crime.
So instead he truthfully answered, murdering innocent people is wrong no matter who did it, whatever the person name, whether he was a powerful man (he gave example George Bush) or etc.
I believe any religion also teach the same yes, brother? That killing innocent people is wrong, not allowed, forbidden.
