I like how Raphael leaves out Mephistopheles is his father. I bet good money Mephistopheles was the one who arranged for Astarion to escape and be given a tadpole.
@@monsterSTRI'm not sure but I can assume that he is. By talking with Harleep's corpse, Harleep was sent by Mephistopheles to watch over "naughty boy".
Astarion has some of the most incredible and hilarious dialogue and reactions to things all through the game, but for some reason his "hmm..." after all this is what really got me somehow. I never cared for the character, or rather didnt have any opinion of him at all. but then Raphael just goes on like he does, and gets so into really reaaly trying to drive home the scope of what hes saying, and Astarion just quietly turns to you and goes "hmm..." I lost it, dunno why it worked better then some of his other moments till that point for me, lol
I can't find a video of it anywhere but I love Gale's reaction to this after it happens. If you go talk to him (spoilers) he comments about how it would suck to have your demose carved into your body. Sir you are in the same situation what do you mean 😂
@@alexriches6957 i accidentally finished his quest and killed all the rats before meeting him so there was no fight and Raphiel just took him to hell for breach of contract. astarion was pissed
In Act 2 travel with Astarion to Shar’s shrine and you’ll meet Raphael outside. They will make a deal and you will get this after killing another devil. If you’re not with Astarion, Raphael will just warn you of the devil inside and say he wants you to kill him but you don’t really get anything so far as I can tell from Raphael or at least I didn’t. If Astarion doesn’t meet Raphael here, you’ll have to look for another way to discover what the scars mean.
@@ChangesOfTomorrow yeah without Astarion it will be no "deal" however Raphael will be there to warn you of the devil down in the temple, but is more of a warning than a quest.... so no reward at all when you meet raphael again.
Act 2 bring Astarion with you to last light end the first time you go in and then to the entrance of Shar's cave shrine. If do not no worries there are other ways to find out Astarion's scars. Also it makes taking the deal with the demon better than just killing him ( also do not kill the rats until you find out why they are the way they are).
I think Raphael's probably the most expressive character in the whole game. The animation on him is just superb.
I literally said this two days ago it’s so true, Astarion being a close second

I got this after patch 3. Which means Astarion and Tav now talk to each other while standing back to back - it's a hilarious bug, ngl.

lol i just snuck up behind a wall and shot the demon to death then ran away for this quest
I killed the devil but the scene doesn’t trigger for my gameplay after I disable the mods 😢
is that blood from clothing skin or from battle damage ?
is there a way to do this without killing the devil?
You can also convince the devil to kill himself
