Hey Kevin, the foam piece is known as the energy absorber. It is bolted directly to the steel rear frame rails/impact bar but doesn't bolt to the rear bumper cover.
Ok I appreciate it, my son was taking off his muffler to weld it and wouldn’t wait for me to get a damn screw driver so the Hanger bolt went up in the tube so now I have to take the cover off to get the hanger. Again I appreciate it.
You are a lifesaver! I'm doing a wrap job on one of these, and this is the 1st video I could find, 25 minutes later I was able to finish the body prep. Weird that is the same color as well!
Do you know the colorcode of the Corvette? I bought a C5 which got repainted from silver and it looks like it is the same as yours. The code is on the "Parts Identification" sticker which is located in the glovebox if i'm right. (it does on mine)
Are you looking for the color code for GM black? If memory serves me correctly it should be 70U. Let me know if this the information you were looking for.

Do you have a HVAC control for a 2001 corvette c5
I should have a rebuilt unit I can get from my supplier. Go ahead and send me a DM @VetteSource through FB or IG.
How much for the trailer hitch?
I could let it go for $100. Just let me know👍
