Xtreme Chaos .308 160-Grain Ultimate Hunting Bullet by Lehigh Defense - in Slow Motion Gel

- Bill Wilson tested the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Chaos .308 160-grain bullet. It was fired at an approximate speed of 2400 fps into a 7x7x24 inch FBI Ballistic Gel Block. It sheds 4 petals and the base expands and continues on. Bill shares the results with top gun instructors Ken Hackathorn and Paul Howe.
Xtreme Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. The Xtreme Chaos will always shed 4 mostly straight petals and will retain more base weight than other bullets. This bullet is optimal for use in .308 Winchester and .30-06 Springfield.

Please expand the Xtreme Chaos to the 270 and 243 calibers for hunters.
Yes! I would love to load some 6CM with a 90-100 grain Xtreme Chaos!
Great idea also 6.5
What is the minimum velocity needed for expansion? Can 300 BLK drive it fast enough?
Impressive. Does your company plan to produce cartridges with this round?
On a serious note, can this be loaded in a .300 HAM'R? because I would love to see what it does out of a 16/18" barrel.
I have something special for you too... @WilsonCombat907
Perfect for combat ❤
Will you be making these for more calibers 6.5 creedmoor etc?
For a hunting bullet test I’d like to see it smash through a high density layer (bone) over bare gel. That is impressive performance though.
Would love to get the Lehigh Defense 9mm Controlled Fracturing Ammunition but it is not available anywhere I can find. 🥺 Pick up the manufacturing place!!!
Looks like a lot of meat destruction to me. Less meat in the freezer.
Make some in 5.56
i love the innovation, BUT how about you get all your products you already have affordable for us to buy. Lehigh bullets have gotten to where only the 1% can afford them!
I hope you will make a 7mm-08 Remington version of this in the 135-150 grain weight range !! I think that option would be AWESOME for HOGS, and DEER !! Great video Guys, thank you !!
Wilson Combat is doing some amazing things with the chaos line!
I'd love to see this design in a big bore round like a .450 Bushmaster.
Definitely be ordering some…hope .264s are available for my prc…130s or lighter
Holy tissue damage! That thing should put a pig in the dirt DOWN RIGHT THERE.
Swell......about $20 a round to help cover the new facility?
YES WC has gotten WAY to expensive for us poors. from the xtreme hunter to xtreme defense and others us common folk cannot afford it. its for the 1%
Impressive projectile. I'd like to see more of these. Maybe some lighter 308 caliber 125-150gr, 0.264 90-130gr, .310 123gr , .224, .243, and all the others. I'm a big proponent of the Controlled Chaos projectiles and this is just a new and improved version.
That is an excellent bullet. Got to try them out.
The "First" Safety Check when handling Guns/Firearms:
"MUSTACHE"?
"MUSTACHE" !!!
LOL
Doing this as a 180-190 gr bullet for .358 Winchester or .35 Whelen would add some serious tomfuckery to the .35's!!!
It’s beautiful… but will there be much of a deer left???
My friend, consider the wild boar as a future problem: it’s dawn is upon us.
Is that holster a milt sparks 55bn?
Impressive.
How will they perform in a hot loaded 300 BLACKOUT?
Ami’s ❤please tell me! You shoot long gun etc/ you bring pistol on the range too??? Why not sabre😂❤
Look at that gel, beautiful devastation.
still do NOT understand, why at 50 yds, its a 308 shoot it farther away, geeeez, at least you got rid of that other guy who made these videos obvious junk
I guess if you like ground meat then this bullet is for you!
I’d like to see a comparison with Speer HotCor bullets
Been using Lehigh defense bullets for ten years or so. It's what I carry in ALL my daily carry pistols. And also what I use in my rifles. You simply can't do better. IMHO...
Would it have expansion in a 300 blkout? If loaded hot?
Howdy , 30-30 ?
Does it work with 300 Blackout? Or is the velocity too slow?
Curious how this would preform put of a 300 win mag? This looks like an awesome round!
Claymore Mine ☀️
Lehigh's bullets typically need a certain velocity for effect, while any excess just gets dissipated energetically upon the target. You might see the gel block jump more, but for penetration and wound tracks, it will likely perform the same. The difference between their .355 Xtreme Defense bullets (380 ACP, 9mm, 357 Sig) is in weight (68, 90, 118 gr). More velocity allows for longer (and heavier) bullets. For 300 WM, one might request a longer and heavier bullet.
Is this round all right to shoot in my smith and wesson ar 10 308?
Love the products. Have to save up quite a while to purchase, but few items I have bought are fantastic. Great content!
For the price, you won't use many for practice.
Load the 125 gn in my 16” 308 AR10. Moving at 3000 fps with .75” groups at 100 yds. Can’t wait to try them out on game, looks gnarly!
have you tried yet in game?
Almost looks like tooo much damage, if there's such a thing.
I load the same, also the 110gr vmax doing 3150 are absolutely stupid on deer, hogs and coyotes 😂
sure would like to see the tipped 110/115 or 125 gr into gel
How's accuracy?
exactly he talked about it was accurate but didnt say what the spread was. dumb
How well would this work as a defense round?
New Zealand needs some more stock
Do these bullets increase chamber pressure?
Ken sounds like Jesse Ventura. 🤣, Love you Ken.
How about through bone??
would love to see the results using a 12.5 .308 ar
That's NASTY.
WOW Thats going to be a killer on med to lg game. Can't wait to try it .
How does this differ from a hammer hunter?
Now that’s a hunting bullet! Very impressive!
Fantastic what you hit isn't getting up
Nice
There are two european bullets which are working the same way
The Lutz Möller MJG and the OK+ bullet.
The both shed four pellets and got a base which punches through the Animal
Make solid copper or bronze. Make hard cast alloy lead with nylon jacket. These offer maximum penetration. Even nylon jacket regular lead is good for penetration.
Yep, that should work!
Lead free?
Is the low end working velocity still 1500 FPS?
Wow... like all Lehigh defense projectiles... This IS a (( Must Have )) Incredible !
Bill's people don't know how to make a real rifle bullet so they went with this fragmenting boutique bullet BS. But at least he isn't still trying to push his ridiculous fragmenting 9mm round, similar to the laughable RIP round. LOL
Man you people are never satisfied. It has monstrous penetration, petals that cause additional wounding, and a base that opens up causing more wounding. If you've ever seen a video of someone using controlled chaos, you'd know that they cause ridiculous wound cavities in hogs. R.I.P. rounds were only torn to shreds because the name would look terrible in court (not a personal fan of the round). In a human target, with a pdw barrel length these rounds would be insane as well. I mean really . . Like . . Do you want people to stop trying to innovate?
@@mr.bbl-buster Bill is wasting his time and hurting his company's reputation with this fragmenting junk. He should be developing and promoting his solid monolithic copper bullet XD and XP line. Example improve their armor penetrating ability, many more handgun owners need and would be interested in this than some new and improved hog bullet.
Nice round. Where can a purchase it? I can only find ' controlled chaos '
would these work in a 300 blackout?
Wow!
Impressive.
Wow! Just Wow! Very, very impressive!
Wouldn't shedding the peddles cause it to loose weight in turn causing it to loose penetration ?
The idea is to make LOTS more tissue damage and have vastly more energy that the animals absorbs. The hole in the dirt behind the animal with a bullet pass thru doesn't make the animal die fast.
@@JDsModernMartialArts the whole in dirt can tell lead to better blood trails and lets you know that good penetration was achieved,, iv good results from both types, but most copper bullets aren't designed to shed pedals, at least none iv fooled with
I like it
Love their ammunition!! Going to pick up some of these for sure.
Damn I wounder how it would do out of my 20 inch ar10
I'm wondering the same thing. Hope to find some and give them a try. I usually shoot 150 grain FMJ or soft points.
