Whenever i want to imagined America in form of a song, i listen to this
I was there. I was there for the Metal but was so happy to see the main Man, James Brown. Like a rite of passage.
All the bad opinions aboue W99 are true at all? , whats you general opinion?. saludos
Same, lol
@@luisnavarro1347 it was the Super Bowl of Debauchery. The port-o-pottys were overflowing before the show started on Thursday. I paid for my ticket. Most just walked in for free. It was like the great land rush of the 1800s for tents. Reserved areas for bus packages were claimed by new Sooners such as myself. It was a mile in between stages. Literally. It was too hot. Weather played a big part imo. Too hot. Just like Jan 6th (too windy) extreme weather imo has a big influence on crowds as painfully obvious as that is. I havent watched the doc yet so - we left Sunday morning, were all 21 years old, seasoned concert goers but didnt give 2 shtts about Sunday after Thursday, Friday, Sat - we live in Buffalo, 3 hours later we all watched the fires from our homes. We were right up front for the whole show. We bought extra $10 knockoff Red Baron pizzas, brought extra water…and shared it with the camera boom operator front left. They let us hang all day and kept our spots when we had go to the bathrooms I mentioned above haha
I’m glad to have seen this comment from someone who was there, epic
Disasterous concert. Great performance by the man himself and his band/singers. It's amazing that he even took the stage at this event. Never forgotten.
will always love him

The tempo seems too fast. It kinda lost the groove.

Yes!....all the live versions are too fast...part of the appeal of this tune is that medium tempo groove

Still looks great, gets laid ALL the time. Being an American icon, priceless

Intro sounds like Abracadabra by State Miller.
It's a faster arrangement, probably because Jim was high as fuck, God bless him.
In any case, better than that cunt Beyonce and her soulless jive.
I liked the fast pace
