The best part about this is that he wasn't even on the bill ... the announcer announced that the original opening act Sugar Ray had cancelled and the crowd booed loudly ... then they quickly announced James Brown and the crown went nuts in disbelief ... was so surreal :-)

Met James in 84 in Hawaii with 2 friends of mine. The look on James face when 3 black guys were running towards James in the airport is/was priceless. Hey hey hey aaahhh were you brothas coming from??? We said hello, explained how we loved his music then left. I'm sure James thought where the hell did those big brothas come from. Danm!!!
