This is incredibly helpful. I got an old beer engine from a Patron on my channel and have been hesitant to use it since I've never set one up. This is just the motivation I need. Cheers, brother:-)
Score you always amaze me, I would of just put the corny in with a cobra tap. Have used them for thirty years. Cause I just can not bring myself to putting holes in my ss fridges. Love to you from the PNW. Keep on keeping on.
Great video, thanks for the insights! I am in Maine USA and can obtain a 60pint casks for connecting to my hand pull! It’s located in my basement so around 56F except during a hot summer! I am interested in 1 the beer line cleaner used 2 how to drill the fridge to pass the pipes through! I say pipes because I have a rather larger external CO2 canister
Hi great video I’m new to this I have a hand pull but I have noticed on other peoples videos they say to use a demand valve I between the keg and tap so not sure if I need one and struggled a little to find the right diameter beer line to attach as well
NOW'T to do wiv me as I am dyslexic, but first off all thank you for going to the trouble of videoing, editing and publishing this, it is really appreciative. But being dyslexic I always remember PriVreT, or in layman terms Pressure, Volume and Temperature. The greater the temperature the greater the pressure, so by keeping the gas inside a cold environment lowers the temperature hence lowers the pressure, I know because I do a lot of winter camping and have to change my gas to suit the cold weather to a gas that boils at a lower temperature. So your gas will work but probably 50% efficiency.
I thought you needed to leak some ambient air in to simulate the spile? I wondered if you could do that with a spunding or a one way valve? Or, it just isn't necessary? I would love to give this a go, but the beer engine is hard to get in the states. Looks like a lovely drop though and no one deserves it more - Cheers!

Your welcome. Just checked out your channel, looks awesome. I will be spending a few evenings watching.
@@harrybrew69 Likewise:-)
Similar situation two years ago and I had to overhaul the engine to clean and replace some seals but works great now!
The CAMRA members have probably fainted 🤣. Have a cracking Bank Holiday weekend 👍
I bloody love your videos :-D

Cracking job on the removal of the back of the door multi tool does the job, great little job on the keg and and hand pull in the fridge.

“In case I don’t get through that in a couple days…I probably will” is hilarious! Thanks for all the videos!
Happy Easter to you and yours, cheers. Another great vlog.
Iv'e heard a few people mention the 5 pints bitter now. I've got most of the ingredients so feel I need to give it a go pretty soon.
Thanks for showing us that setup mate

Did something similar at home but it is now a permanent feature. Enjoy 🍻
Can you link to the Co2 adapter thingy, TIA.
Brilliant!!!!

No, if at all possible just replacing the head space with co2 is fine, no pressure though.
I couldn't get my hand pull to deliver from a corni keg without fobbing uncontrollably, wonder if it was the pipe diameter causing the issue???
Temperature, inside diameter and length of beer line all are factors in having headdy beer. Try lengthen your lines and that should fix the issue.
Don't carbonate it. 1psi is fine.
Heath Robinson would be very proud of you. 🤣🍺
Nothing like a beer through the hand pull at home
"IT'S TEMPORARY", famouse last words.
Thanks for this from 2024
I am so doing this. If my wife asks why???? Its your fault Harry
I will take one for the team.
Still flat beer tho ? 🤢
Us Brits love it. Even pour the drip tray in.
@@harrybrew69 some of us American's love real ale too. Maybe not the drip tray, at least not at my house.
Some beers are better flat, like a proper pint of english bitter, or a mild
