Simon I done this with a mini keg of Black Sheep bitter, took first half a pint out of mini keg using keg tap, left the valve open slightly, put mini keg in fridge for a few hours, then poured the rest through my Pint365. Perfect 👌
I did a Adnams Ghost Ship last week. Nice. I tapped it straight away it was lively but the following day it was spot on. Also I keep it in the fridge and I’ve a hole in the side of the fridge for the beer line.
All that air getting in over 12 hour’s can’t be great
Thanks Simon - now know how to use my home bar Cask pump with a mini keg. Brilliant.
Just open the valve and leave the beer in the fridge overnight. By the following day it should go through the pump easy and give you a nice short head without making a mess.
Interesting video.
But this is too much hassle for an average beer; you end up spending more time preparing the keg than actually drinking the beer (which may potentially end up too warm and oxydised because of the preparation). Might as well go to the pub or drink something else.
Big improvement but Take 1 was funnier, keep up the good Work Simon
Great stuff Simon will be teaching the old man that trick for his pint 365 🤙🍺
The sparkler is the game changer. Great video 🍻👍
Can you aerate it in the fridge? Seems like too much work. 12 hours?
Like if u pour direct from the keg itself using the tap u get a far better result. Leaving the keg open for 12 hours is absolute bonkers. The beer u poured there had a good head but u could see it would disappear quickly. I'd say that tasted flat.
Have you found a decent solution to seal the pipe in there to prevent excess oxygenation?
Not a big fan of the beer, but their advertisement slogan always make me laugh: "What's the matter lager boy? Afraid you might taste something?!"
What's the best way to clean the pump?
How long would the beer stay fresh from opening?
Pint364 because it takes a day to get going with it!
Awesome cast iron! Try cleaning and seasoning one just like you would a skillet
Hi great video thanks. Do you think it's possible to do the same with a lager?
Problem is that beer is gonna oxidise sooo quickly doing this. You really need to drink it all in one sitting if you are doi g that
Did you keep the keg on ice those 12 hrs.?
How long does it last outside the fridge after 12 hours?
I’ve got a pint365 and not sure if I’m getting the best out of it, tried polypins and the mini keg hack but the majority of the pints seem pretty lifeless! I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m doing something wrong here! Desperate to get the pub quality pint at home!
Using a sprinkler? I get a lovely drop out of my pumps. Cheers
Great video. Will be getting a pint365 so this has just made me more eager! Thanks! 🍻👍
That's better 👌🏼🍺
Surely after 12 hours it’s room temp hic
Is that at room temperature?
slightly chilled
did you really give that beer 9 out of 10?
Not exactly selling the P365 here Si lol. Buy a Lindr or Portapint. Load of hassle for oxidised beer. You get what you pay for...
Thats a colossal amount of time for a very average beer. Not worth it imo..
Better haircut!
I'd rather just buy a can and have a session and a sleep in the same time
12 hours of oxidisation then you can have a warm beer. Looks like another gadget that's looking for problems that don't exist.
I've had these mini kegs and the beers good, perfectly good pint straight out of its tap.
Awful beer :(
What the fuck are you doing drinking this beer? I'm sure you once described this as a disgrace of a beer and gave it a 2 out of 10 or something similar.
Much better in keg, different beer to the bottle
