    I tried my best but I really don't see what's so special about this. This just sounds like growls thrown senseless to me... They're too much! And I'm not even gonna start on how she missed a note in the war cry (ah-ah-ah-aaaaaah)

    • @AJKoehler
      @AJKoehler Рік тому +78

      1- she didn’t miss anything in the last war cry.
      2- this song is supposed to be Elphaba’s moment of empowerment. These growls came from a passionate place within her.
      If you didn’t like it, it’s easier to just click out of it instead of attacking her. It takes far less taps on your screen to click out of it and never watch it again :)

      @@AJKoehler I'm not attacking her, it's constructive criticism
      She went "Ah-ah-aaaaaaah" instead of "Ah-ah-ah-aaaaaah". The best way I could describe it is failing to place the third note, which I get it, it's absolutely painful to place because of how close it is. It reminds me of how I used to sing it before I learned to place it. The thing with Stephanie is that this happened multiple times during her run, and it is harmful to the meaning of the song because those 4 notes are essential (and that's also one of the reasons I dislike Shoshana Bean because she just did whatever tf she wanted with the war cry. No wonder she got in trouble)

      @@veraelphie0306 i hear the 4 notes, the 3rd ah note before the long final C#5 was quite quick so it was easy to miss, i don't get what Stephanie has anything to do with this when it was Idina who herself added/thought of the battle cry, you should've known that :)
      Also just to clear up the Sho point (it's reasonable to dislike Sho but its unreasonable to attack her), it was Eden who did riffs and got in trouble because she was specifically told to imitate Idina during her standby run. Sho didn't get into much trouble or any trouble at all. A Wicked fan, who was around at that time, mentioned that many people were not confident in the OBC Elphaba being replaced by someone who was not well-known but it was Sho's riffs that boosted/secured Wicked's ticket sales (though there is no official source to back this) and hyped up the show even more.

      @@Broadwayriah you see my point? It was so quick the average person wouldn't hear it. It's important for everyone to hear it consistently. I replayed it many times and I still cannot hear that damn 3rd note

      Sorry but this comment and everything you have said is so cringe worthy 🤣🥴
      1 - There is most DEFINITELY 4 notes, and besides it is a BATTLE CRY ffs 🤦‍♂️ what is so essential about there being specifically 4 notes 🤣🤷‍♂️
      2 - How can you give out “constructive criticism” exactly ??? Remind me, which broadway Musical did you last lead ??? I don’t see you doing 8 shows a week lol.
      3 - This amazingly talented women has such AMAZING control and technique so there is no point comparing her to others.
      4 - You have also said you “dislike” Shoshana Bean…………urm……………..that is outrageous 🤣🤣🤣 I would LOVE to hear you even attempt to fill an auditorium as large as the Gershwin with your voice the way she did haha that stupidly talented woman shook the ground when she performed.
      Hate hate hateeeee these types of comments from people who think they are experts 🤣 yet probably sound like a dying cat when they sing. PLEASE stop your stupid comparisons and just appreciate that people sing differently and have different artistic choices.
