OMG! These fly-in's are crazy. Flew in to an airshow as a passenger on a 172 and will never forget the ATC telling us to follow the Sherman instead of Stearman. My friend piolting was like, "There's a tank in the pattern?" Great job Kevin and Jamie!
I totally get it. Jamie doesn't need to do any more fly-ins if she doesn't want to. Got to respect that Kevin. On that note nice job Kevin handling the stressful approach!
Poor Jamie. I felt for her on that one. It really is a testament to the training these pilots go through when they can stay as calm as they do. Great job Kevin!
Love to see the teamwork between you two. No negativity, no backbiting, and no meanness between each other. That’s the way a good marriage should be. It’s a team effort. Great job. 👍
Back in the early 80's, my wife and I were flying into a west coast fly-in in a V-tail in mixed traffic and it was pretty stressful. I was glad to have her along as she was a pretty good navigator and spotter. It is an amazing feeling of calm one feels sitting in a lawn chair on the ground after a difficult and stressful approach and landing especially when we were landing in tandem with another plane. Felt the very intense emotions that Jaime was experiencing and will show this video to my wife as I am sure she will relate to her. Thanks for sharing this video!
I could feel the anxiety! I had a pit in my stomach and sweaty palms just watchin' !! Good job you two. Flew in to Oshkosh years ago, brought back the terror.
you guys are the bomb. i started watching you guys because of jaimes raido skills didnt know she was a controller.would not miss the chance to watch and listen to you guys. God speed.
Andy here from Durban South Africa. Love love love your channel. A few years ago I followed 1 of my 2 life goals to become a yacht skipper. Followed UA-cam channels and finally achieved it in 2017, and sailed the Adriatic and East Africa in 2018. Now Dream 2....learn to fly. Your channel is one of my top 3. Been to Oshkosh already. Next step PPL.
Two sets of eyes, Jamie’s communication and navigation skill and Kevin’s piloting skill and you handled it brilliantly!!! Excellent landing and evasive action regarding traffic on the runway. Well done!!!
Holy Crap In My Pants!!! You guys handled your business... Jamie! No shame! Anyone worth their salt would have shared a tear.. You both prevailed!!! Outstanding team work!!
Wow! That was really stressful to watch and listen. I can totally understand the stress Jaime felt. Both of you handled it very well! Kevin, great example of how a pilot should hold it calm in this kind of situations.
I've never had the chance to fly. Life didn't allowed me the time or money to persue the pilot dream. The videos of you and Jamie mean more than i think you know. Thank you for sharing your travels with us!!!!!!
Just wow Jamie, I'm with you. That is just nuts. ATC screaming, multiple bogies, you're really on your own on that approach but Kevin is just awesome. Keeping calm and just flying the airplane. Great job guys. And thank you both for including everyone on that video. You really brought it to heart. I flew into one years ago and like Jamie, NEVER NEVER NEVER again. Just not worth it. Way too many unknowns like pilot abilities and following direction skills.
Wow, the level of congestion and a million things going on at the same time was a lot! And I've never seen Jamie so disturbed by the bumps. Great video as always.
When ATC controllers begin to imitate auctioneers, I'm diverting to Tampa Exec KTDF or Peter O Knight KTPF and driving to Lakeland Linder. You two have superb cockpit crew coordination!
You guys handled that landing so calmly and brilliantly! My heart was pumping and I’m just watching on UA-cam! Maybe Jaime’s idea of no more flying to fly-ins is a sensible idea!
You guys champions! We flew into Oshkosh several years ago and almost got hit by a Pitts at the wrong altitude. Scary stuff for us. You guys pulled it off beautifully
Good ol' SkyKing. I loved that show when I was a kid (way back in the late 55's early 66's). My dad had an Aircoupe (I believe the Alon A-2, with the sliding-bubble canopy...like a flying Batmobile). That was fun! He had it staked out at the old (original) 'Tamiami Airport' in Miami/Dade County, FL. South side of the Tamiami Trail-8 Street (but has been FIU for many years now). I hope Jamie doesn't cave in to her fears, but overcomes them. Kevin is a very competent pilot; it appeared to me that the ACC's were on top of it all. If nothing else, couldn't Kevin have just flown out of all that mess for a few or so minutes; then come back when/if things were less hectic? Now about that whole radio going silent...that is a bit spooky. The must be some protocol for when that occurs.
Jaime, you did great. I'd give anything to be able to fly. Unfortunately, I'll never have the opportunity. Please keep up the videos. I love every one of them.
You guys did great in the situation. Jamie is a great sport. She still was trying not to smoke when Kevin suggested another lap around the pattern. Made me laugh. You both are awesome
Actually the concept works well and could provide the FAA with ideas how to safely increase traffic into airports where air traffic controllers provide a more invasive service. VFR: see and be seen can work especially with more airplanes equipped with TCAS and ADS-B out. The event has an admirable safety record and moves traffic with minimal delays.
That was intense for sure! Don’t blame Jamie one bit for being that stressed out! That got out of hand pretty quick. Glad you’re all safe! Hope to meet you at OSH!
First time Jaime almost turned green? Good job Jaime, great way to hang in there. Stress AND turbulence. Real life cross-country flying. Great video. Was that ATC or an Auctioneer?
I didn’t know I could hold my breath that long...what an adventure!!! You two make an awesome team. Great cliff hanger on the previous video. Nice to be flying with you. GOOD JOB...both of you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Boy I give you 2 a lot of credit on that fly in especially when the tower went dead for a short time that was a wild ride for sure. Kevin did a great job but I felt bad for Jamie but she is a trooper I’m proud of her for hanging in their !!! 😎
The FLY-IN video was incredible. I agree with others who expressed concern and stress listening to the video. It certainly is an excellent video for anyone who is really contemplating flying to a major FLY-IN. Know you skill set and skill level. Thanks Kevin and Jamie for an excellent video. I was saddened to see Jamie so distressed. Bless you both and your family.
It was so Nice to meet yall there. (Thanks for the shirt) Jamie don't give up we need you. Ive flown in 4 times now to sun n fun and only once was it even close to that bad.. Thanks for sharing it was fun.
Can't fault Jamie. Always WAY easier when your the one flying. Flying into OSH after the 1sr two times we had had enough of the crazy stuff and started flying in on Thursdays to avoid this stress. Have been there 15 times now and its fantastic each time. Love the 310, we had a 1955 and our latest a 1969 310P very similar to this 73 Q. Thanks for sharing!
That was insane. I may be driving to Oshkosh as well. The worst part is sharing the sky with a bunch of guys and gals you don’t know. It’s hard to know if you can count on people you have no knowledge of. Really great of you guys to share this flight. It was clearly very stressful for the copilot. Kevin was having way too much fun. Great insight into the experience of flying in to a major airshow. Thanks!
Wow Kevin, stressful one! Well done you are a professional, kept your cool. Guess you did not quite feel that way.. Thanks for including us, even after the fact!
Hi Jaime and Kevin - enjoy all your videos, keep up the great content. Jaime, I hope that you enjoyed SNF in spite of the stressful arrival. I am the fellow who gave you and your friends the bag of ice one evening at the aircraft camping area - hope all the beverages went down smooth! Come back and visit Maine sometime. Take care, Andy
I don't even know Jamie, but after watching this I want to give her a good hug and commend her for how she hung tough continuing to provide critical/crucial situational awareness on the approaching and landing!!! Great job by you both to navigate and communicate throughout the chaos of this approach and landing!!!
Been waiting a long time for this one. UA-cam flashed up an old arrival. This one was MANIC. Poor Jaime those were real tears at one point! Well done both of you! Jaime might not want to fly to another one but it was a lovely look that she shot at you Kevin. Always love the channel. 👍😎 Tim (UK) 'Jodel Flyer'

That arrival was as about as batshit mad as anything anywhere - well done for keeping it all together! Great job guys.

The radio traffic was crazy! I'm impressed with how calm and composed both of you were. Excellent video!
I’m with Jamie that was some crazy traffic but great flying by you, but still love flying with you guys ❤️
I don't blame you Jaime. What a chaotic piece of flying and ATC is talking so fast.
That was intense!!! Way to stay calm and cool Kevin!! Nice flying. The jokes at the end was hilarious…. Great video!

Serious adrenaline! I love how he says “that was fun” and she gave him that look. 😂 great stuff you two, love the channel. 👍
As a new VFR candidate (not done yet), this was amazing how you handled all that chatter. Just wow.
This radio traffic stressed me out and I wasn’t even on the plane. 😳
Frankly I’m surprised the FAA permits it.
Thats what I cant understand. With all that ATC chatter, how des a pilot keep track of any info for his particlure plane?
50 years ago my Dad and I did this at Oshkosh in his Champ...and his plane was without radios! How the Hell did that happen?
You said it! I was a Patrol Plane radio operator, and at sea, NEVER had traffic like that! Good goin' you guys. Eyes out the cockpit. JJ
Stressed me too ya'll 😁
