I honestly thought you gave up on sharing your adventures. Glad I was wrong. Now I need to get some popcorn, sit back, relax, and enjoy watching your adventure.
Haven't seen a 2-hour video on UA-cam in a while. Not a lot can keep me at the screen for 2 hours straight, but this masterpiece... Congratulations on the journey, and thank you for inspiring us to get out of our comfort zone and explore the world. Superb!
Didn’t even know 2 hour video was possible ! It takes 2 days just to upload a video that’s 30 minutes lmao Can’t imagine a 2 hour video probably takes 2 weeks
Not only did you build a BEAUTIFUL and capable airplane, and not only did you fly it across the world, and not only did you film it, but you produced a high quality documentary sharing your adventure that made me feel a range of emotions. Well done to you and all who helped. Thank you for sharing this, it is incredible and I hope to do something similar sometime in my life
As a pilot who got laid off during the pandemic, I lost the love for flying. Thank you for sharing this and truly inspiring me to get back into the sky once again.
Certainly you have to get back in the air.... to be up in the air has always been a dream really to become a pilot ,,, even at 41yr I still hope to take my first flight ...... Wake up and fly....
Same here. I loved my job ferrying folks in a Cessna caravan but was laid off in 2020. I own a pitts special that sat for a couple years but my dad has come around making me love flying again.
This brought tears of joy. The building, friendships, music, editing and foremost, the incredible flight to Oshkosh. Thank you all. Alright alright alright -
I have followed your videos since the crossing with the Cessna 210 but man is this an amazing video. It's crazy that I'm flying slings from panorama but know nothing about what goes into building them just a couple Kms away. This has been educational, exciting and so inspiring. Thanks for taking the probably 100s of hours you spent on putting this together. Hope you are still enjoying zazu!
I first came across this guy when he collaborated with Louis Cole on their round the world flight. I think there were some regrets afterwards and from what I understand they don’t keep in touch.
That was the best content I have EVER seen on UA-cam!! What a testament to everyone's expertise, equipment, and pure balls of steel. The cinematography was outstanding. Thanks for allowing us to tag along.
I‘m only 16 (gonna be 17 in a few months) and I’m growing more and more into an aviation enthusiast. And that’s thanks to people like you, who show their experience and their adventures online. I really want my sailplane license so I’m going to start with that in about a month when I’m done with my drivers license. Planes are just so cool man. Thank you for this masterpiece ❤
@@Iugeer i'm learning to fly sailplanes at the moment, theres a 15 year old kid in our club, hes got a grant to learn to fly, but sailplanes are fairly cheap, a powered flight is about $200 an hour while sailplanes are around $30 (australian dollars) so a kid working after school should be able to afford the weekend's flights fairly easily. Gliders are a group sport too, winch driver, wing runner, person who manages the day. so out of a whole day of flying, you might only get a couple of turns while everyone else flies too
@@Iugeer it is the cheapest way to learn to fly. I started a few years ago and cost me 20c South African a minute. I am now in Australia and they have a school near me in Warwick. Cheap as chips...untill you buy your own glider that is.😂
what an incredible watch. Seriously, disregarding the triumph and achievement of actually flying this adventure. Putting all of this footage together and editing. I don't exaggerate when i say this is a masterpiece. Well done a true pleasure and joy to watch this from beginning to end. Thank you JP and everyone involved in making this happen.
I used to work for a few South Africans. Some of the coolest and hardest working guys I know. James is an amazing person it seems. So much joy for life. I want that...

So great to watch. Don't know if you remember but we were the paramotor pilots flying just west of tedderfield tge day you went to lanseria wishing you guys good luck on the trip over the radios. Awesome movie
In not a pilot, just another content creator on UA-cam and stumbled into this with my vague interest in aviation. An outstanding achievement of a film, aircraft and adventure. Absolutely loved it and in awe of the drive and effort in creating this film and your aircraft. Congrats, this is what UA-cam awards should be for . A
You may be surprised to hear that this comment made my day! Publishing a 2 hour video is a scary thing. For a start it took more time to edit this than it did to build my airplane, so the time commitment is huge. But also I felt that the story needed to be told in an uninterrupted format and I had no idea how it would be received as UA-cam is usually a 10 minute platform. So thank you for acknowledging it. Kindest, JP
Congratulations! Your adventure is impressive and your film was captivating. Another huge congratulations to all of you. What a great team of friends. I am sincerely moved by your character and your personality.
JP, your earlier videos sparked an interest in aviation for me. I now have dreams of becoming a pilot and following in the footsteps of people like you. Thank you so much ❤
This just came across my feed and I had no idea who any of you were but I consider myself lucky to now have been exposed to all you are doing. The video is superb, the respect I have for a team of people I've never met is immense. The love, the passion, the expertise is all inspiring. Keep on truckin', or flying in this circumstance. We are all blessed to have pioneers such as yourselves showing us some really, really cool perspectives. Amen.
Just last week, I watched the entirety of your build series, downloaded while on a commercial flight. I was sad to land and see the resolution to the journey had never been posted. I'm so glad to see you've just been hard at work compiling it together. Your content has always been some of my favorite aviation content, showing me parts of the world I'll never be able to see myself.
Awesome, another video! And about 19:56 , I have flown a Rotax powered aircraft for years, and it was the best flying experience I ever had. It’s a neat little package they built everything into, the sound it produces is more delicate, more friendly for the neighbours. Loved it.

Now the internet brought me this gem of a documentary, and showed me a lifestyle I never knew existed. I am yearning to become a pilot now. Absolute great this adventure you had. My respect for this airmanship ! loved fly-in airshows in the US. The history of Aviation is incredible. As a Kenyan GA pilot, way back in the 90's, I flew a C-172 into Lancaster airfield in Ohio to honor surviving members of the Tuskeege Airmen. Thanks for this. Great journey from Africa
This dudes already gotta be extremely wealthy based on being able to build his own airplane and fly it across the atlantic just for giggles, i dont think he needs the meager youtube revenue 😂

Please don't stop posting again!!! your videos are brilliant
You're one of the aviation youtubers that I follow. Got busy with work and family. So glad when I came back to what makes me happy, I see this epic, and I mean EPIC, airplane movie!
loved fly-in airshows in the US. The history of Aviation is incredible. As a Kenyan GA pilot, way back in the 90's, I flew a C-172 into Lancaster airfield in Ohio to honor surviving members of the Tuskeege Airmen. Thanks for this. Great journey from Africa
Worth the wait. While I watch your ventures I’m literally inspired to pull out Foreflight and start planning my own.
Do it!!!! 😀
JP is alive! (Clearly not on UA-cam for the money!)
This dudes already gotta be extremely wealthy based on being able to build his own airplane and fly it across the atlantic just for giggles, i dont think he needs the meager youtube revenue 😂
@@m.s.35 people who are extremely wealthy don't have to build their own airplane.
This is awesome..days of the explorer are not gone. Aren't we just beginning? Thank you for the Docu! So appreciated, from W.L. Indiana.
He’s back!
