Pando, I'll share this with you. Not to long ago id say about 6 months ago I moved to my current home, and around the same time I began watching your videos. Your videos definitely motivated me to get my garage into box shape. It helped a lot to see you and many others also having these crazy ideas, and going through with them. I definitely appreciate your videos and just wanted to say thanks dude..
+wilson ospina awesome I really appreciate that you shared that with me, and makes me feel great about being so transparent and letting people into my little world. glad I could be of some positive influence wilson
Thank you, for allowing us a view of your mostly complete current gym. I greatly enjoyed this video with you as our guide to the place that you feel is your sanctuary. Two thumbs up!-)
Fantastic set up. This is obviously something you are very passionate about, and while there have been some derogatory comments about the amount spent, pay no attention. This is your hobby and the gym is something that captivates your interest and you take great pride in. Keep at it and happy training.
I rly dont see how I can clean 280kg :D bud i have badass tall power rack made of much stiffer materials than regular power racks...its made by one guys who simply do it with its own hands for two decades, he is badass and it cost like 500usd....BTW he did hooks for barbel from masive pieces of steel, he did weight test on it...with loading cart he tested the hook with 2 tons and torning moves not static weight but dynamic...so that power rack will outlive human kind probably lol :D but even tho i desperately hate rogue equipment being so dominant just because crossfit I sadly have to admit that monolift idea is rly unigue and looks damn good...I want it...
On my home gym i have spent £25 for a 16kg comp kettlebell £22 for a 32kg Hardstyle kettlebell £50 fot 2 x 26kg comp kettlebells £10 for 2x 2-30kg adjustable dumbbells £35 for an adjustable bench £15 for an ab roller with foot attachments for ham curls £5 for a foam roller £5 for a pull up bar £5 for a yoga matt £10 for a pair of gymnastics rings £0 for a tractor tire a asked a scrap yard for £0 for an old car tire i pull like a sled and i can add weight to £0 for an old car axle that ive attached two halves of a lawn roller to Approx 85kg £0 for an old back pack i filled with sand and stoned and duct taped up totalling £182 or $235 This is more than enough for me and almost anyone You don't need to break the bank to attain a reasonable home gym. you can get great results for minimal equipment Train like a strongman with the Form of a Weightlifter, Eat like a Bodybuilder and Program like a Powerlifter.
The price came in under from what I would have thought. I just added up my gym a few days ago and was a bit shocked at the price. If I would have bought everything new it would have been over $30k. The cost Used and New no discounts would be $19k, with everything on sale, used, and flipping things on craigslist to pay for it it is around $6K I have spent. I need to get a video done now of the 4th evolution of my basement gym
Building my home gym. Power rack 645lbs of weight Barbell Bench Dip station Deadlift platform Curl bar Dumbbell handles Brute force strongman sand bag And exercise bike Currently spent around $1200 for it all. I have fat grips and chalk and stuff to Next up is landmine, multi grip tbar handle, then the weight peg and hub grip and rolling thunder.
Jesus, Im new and I just came from Campbells channell and his gym blew my mind. Then I see THIS???? JESUS CHRIST *BALLS EXPLODING* lol the coolest gym I've seen yet! Well fucking worth it :)
You Sir! Invested your money in the right things! Really love your gym, also the posters of tekken I guess and the power rack just kicks ass! Can't wait to build my own.
+Jean Bon wtf that's like a oxymoron.. using a piece of equipment that can cure disc bulge caused a back injury? he obviously did something wrong/overdid something.... I have used a reverse hyper for 96 days straight and squatting everyday I'm FINE
Damn sweet set-up. I probably wouldn't have some of the items you have and add some items you don't, but overall that's a great home gym. Anybody here would be more than happy to have it. People can't stop themselves from either saying it's money wasted on unnecessary stuff or that you over-spent for what you got. Both are symptoms of the same disease. Don't mind the rabble.
Rogue is expensive but insanely high quality. Last forever. I want a power rank with dip and pull up bars, and a cable crossover machine. That will get me 80% of the way. With the remaining being HIIT Cardio from T25 and over dvd programs. TRX, maybe?
cool as setup man, your gear is built to last. if your serious about lifting and have the funds, buy right, or buy twice. commercial and semi commercial gear is built to be strong and durable (made for a lot of users), so with home use your gear will last forever. it's also nice lifting in a mint as professional setup at home. always like your videos.
That's right. You can go to a gym. But you'll never get any kind of money back. He can get money back, he doesn't have to drive anywhere, nor deal with other gym members. If he's happy with it, then let it be.
You have a good point. weight plates will always keep their value. It's an investment. He could sell all this equipment for close to what he bought it for. You can train how you want: Drop plates, scream, superset everything, etc.. You can use your equipment to start your own gym in the future.. You can use it to train clients without having to pay to personal train in a commercial gym. There's a lot of reason to own a nice home gym. I've had a membership at Anytime Fitness (franchise) near me for 5 years. I very much prefer training at home. Saves A LOT of time. Time is money. I would say that around 200 hours a year is saved by owning a home gym if you workout regularly. ALSO a huge one for a lot of people is EGO, this includes me. Working out in a home gym you eliminate the ego factor and actually perform your lifts correctly. :D
Some people have a home gym for other reasons other than cost, ever consider that s not a huge sum of money for some and the time is more important than 20k. 20k is not some exorbitant sum. UA-cam folks act like it's a million bucks and it's gonna wear out ... Get a job ffs.
Wao. Ur budget is fking huge bud. Btw great home gym. If i have that kind of money to spend, i would definitely go for it. Dem rogue equipment r sickkkk
I can buy this gym assuming everything is tax and shipping free or I could go to a gym that has all of this plus alot more and only has a few people that go to it (u can see a vid I posted) or I could go to my gym for 681 months.
I literally could go to my box for just over 18 years with 17k. I'll let somebody else do all the work getting the gym set up. Plus I don't have to worry about people putting holes in my walls off the rage lift.
Jason Blaha says his home gym is worth a similar amount and literally just has a rack with rogue plates in his living room, bars piled up against the drywall in the corner (lol), and a couple of accessories that would go for 200 bucks at a resell store. oh, and it's in his living room and he eats off his plyo box!
Impressive collection of weights/bars for a home gym. But what I was wondering was....why not just join a gym?? Why spend the money you did for this setup? You mentioned you live in CA. Do you live in a part of CA where there actually aren't many gyms??
Yeah, that seems likely. Not. Appreciate the sweet setup for what it is. Coming here to say that your DIY wood power rack is as good as a Rogue Monster rack is your hate coming through.
+Mike Jones mike jonesss who?!? bro I live in way colder than single digits... and I wrote this is February when it was negative 15 in there soooo wayyy to be late to the partyyyy bruhh
it's so funny that people like to comment on what other people buy, I mean even if you don't lift at all and you buy all this stuff nobody should criticize you for that. Like if he had the money why not ?
I notice you don't have a lat machine of any kind. Do you feel like it's unnecessary? I ask because my budget is limited, and I'm wondering if it's necessary or not.
SirKingHoff I checked my local Lowe’s and Home Depot, and they don’t sell thick chains like his. I would have gotten them there myself if they had them.
Connor Sandberg They are at least twice as expensive as it's competitors. Plus it's only metal frikn bars. You can build it yourself in 1 day for 1/10th the price. But if you want a ROGUE sign all over your house, than that's a different story.
Too much hate comments. I think that's money well spent as long as you use everything 3-5x/week. But where's the crazy audio system to go with it? I hope you're not using some bluetooth portable 8 watt speaker.
I understand that , I bet you are on your second or third power rack and you most likely change your plates out and dumbbells at least once. I see in your description you are always upgrading. Your current setup is awesome.
when you do a home gym you have to think ok I would pay about a 100$ a year to go to a normal gym, so for a 17 000$ gym to be profitable you would have to use it for 170 years, now don't me wrong, this gym is leggit, it's the shit, but I think you can have a very cool and leggit home gym for a 1000 box
+showingcicle my gym is around 33/month, which means I'd have to use the home gym for about 42 years to even it out. Doesn't really matter though, it looks amazing to have all that room and equipment for yourself. Could definitely make a really nice home gym for a lot less, though.
Mario-2700 My gym is a five minute walk away so that doesn't really apply to me personally :p but yeah, that can get expensive and time consuming for a lot of people.
17k?? Craiglist boys. Got my setup for about 5k... pretty much the same thing he has... never buy new gym equipment if you can. excluding bars, since u kinda have to with specialties
+joerapo He's in SoCal, That's where I'm from. There are deals/steals every other month locally. Due to all the fail crossfit places going out of business. You can snag things things up for dirt..
Why am I jealous? Just saying you can pickup equipment up for cheap. If you wanna buy retail go ahead. I have pretty much the same setup for for a quarter of what he spent..
Also bought my shit from a place that sells clearance plates from gyms that went out of business. Got my bumper plates for $1/lb and rubber coated plates for $0.80/lb... right there saves thousands of dollars. But then since mine doesn't say "rogue" it means I'm obviously not good at lifting. LOL. ROFL.
Best home gym on youtube
Yours is awesome too papa
+Brandon Campbell thanks Brandon! yours is the channel I look up to man
+Brandon Campbell AGREED!!! ITS SO GOOD
+Leo Pando Bro what ever you are doing in life you are doing it right. love this video too!
Have to agree!
Everybody has their drug...good choice Leo.
Nobody ever regretted buying quality.
i like that "nobody ever regretted buying quality"
225$ for a rogue nameplate? 225$ usd = 290$ cad
I bought my power rack for 229$ cad, that nameplate is worth more than like 1/2 my home gym lol
That moment you realise Pando's gym is better than Brandon Campbell's. daaaamn
+prodnus haha gracias, thanks and cheers
Pando, I'll share this with you. Not to long ago id say about 6 months ago I moved to my current home, and around the same time I began watching your videos. A wet dream for any lifter :D
Love your gym, bro. Makes me want to TRAIN!
All i have is a 45 pound bar and a set of 45 pound bumper plates
I rly dont see how I can clean 280kg :D bud i have badass tall power rack made of much stiffer materials than regular power racks...its made by one guys who simply do it with its own hands for two decades, he is badass and it cost like 500usd....BTW he did hooks for barbel from masive pieces of steel, he did weight test on it...with loading cart he tested the hook with 2 tons and torning moves not static weight but dynamic...so that power rack will outlive human kind probably lol :D
but even tho i desperately hate rogue equipment being so dominant just because crossfit I sadly have to admit that monolift idea is rly unigue and looks damn good...I want it...
what is your profession to afford all this. Love the gym by the way
You PAID to have a brand name on your rack? Why?
Connor Smith because he has the money to do so
I would pay to remove that.
Kazathul Then send him some money and maybe he will remove it for you...
I have money to hire a midget to flannel my balls doesnt mean I should or will
John Smith and I have the money to hire a midget to fondle my balls....doesn't mean I should
I just made my home gym.
Squat rack, bar, bench, weights and me, $2000.00.
Done...
So how much did you cost to yourself?
thats more like 800
Amazing! All the blessings for your garage gym
so my question is what do you do for a job to be able to afford this? Your gym costs almost as much as I make a year

You don't need to break the bank to attain a reasonable home gym. you can get great results for minimal equipment

AnimMuscle not tekken. Street fighter. But just saying. I like em too lol
Great video! Truly inspired me to build my own garage gym!
Awesome home gym!!! Did you bolt down the cage? And if you did, is it all the way into the concrete or just the platform? Thanks
Why'd you get rid of the reverse hyper?
+TheLoopmeister I 2nd this question. ???
+TheLoopmeister I was going to ask the same question.
+Jean Bon wtf
that's like a oxymoron.. using a piece of equipment that can cure disc bulge caused a back injury? he obviously did something wrong/overdid something.... I have used a reverse hyper for 96 days straight and squatting everyday I'm FINE
Sup fellow Cali Pinoy. Your gym is incredible. Home gym is where it's at...especially if you have kids and an crazy work schedule.
+D BAG Fitness haha I guess itll pay off when I have kids and a crazy work sched. lol thanks
Leo Pando Brotha, enjoy it while you're free haha! Btw, your other vid you said you were an RN. I'm a xray tech. See you on the battlefield lol!
Damn sweet set-up. I probably wouldn't have some of the items you have and add some items you don't, but overall that's a great home gym. Anybody here would be more than happy to have it.

I just spent $3700 for a matrix squat rack and matrix bench press. I am looking to buy the matrix leg press for $5500. Need at least 15 45 lb plates.
Rogue is expensive but insanely high quality. Last forever.
I want a power rank with dip and pull up bars, and a cable crossover machine. That will get me 80% of the way. With the remaining being HIIT Cardio from T25 and over dvd programs. TRX, maybe?

Dang bro wicked set up. Lifetime PR.

+Xiao Lin thx mane. 19mins saved
+Xiao Lin на наши рубли будит вообще 1000.000 руб.
Omg.. Obviously no kids or wife..:)
+Xiao Lin With tax and shipping it would be closer to 25K
Sweet set up. $17,000 gets me a goodlife fitness membership for 42 years though... and they don't charge me shipping.
You also get space in your garage but have to spend gas on getting to the gym
Gavin Jager that's 42 years of waiting for the squat rack
That's right. You can go to a gym. But you'll never get any kind of money back. He can get money back, he doesn't have to drive anywhere, nor deal with other gym members. If he's happy with it, then let it be.

What camera did you use for this video?
$1049 for a bar...
yeah, for the same bar that is actually used in official weightlifting competition and Olympics
That's a badass gym, brother.
-Hulk Hogan
Wao. Ur budget is fking huge bud. Btw great home gym. If i have that kind of money to spend, i would definitely go for it. Dem rogue equipment r sickkkk
Dude, you look awesome. Congrats on cutting the weight off. Love the videos
+Max Coleman thank you max, I appreciate that
I can buy this gym assuming everything is tax and shipping free or I could go to a gym that has all of this plus alot more and only has a few people that go to it (u can see a vid I posted) or I could go to my gym for 681 months.
Nice gym, great investment Leo!!
is that a two car garage?
Amazing setup, do you recall where you got that Ryu poster? Tried searching couldn't find it
Should have gotten this 10$deadlift wedge off amazon it works just as well
Keith Johnson Fitness Then why did they invent jacks to lift cars when as you say, driving up on a wedge would be just as good?
How come you didn't save $1,000 plus more dollars and go with the power block DB's? Any specific reason?
Great Video, Awesome Gym!
Gym is so dope, I know this video is pretty old but its that Nujabes I hear?
literally could have made all this for under $1000 rack. deadlift jack everything. I would pay to not have brand names on my shit
Nick Speirs Hey genius, good luck making rubber Olympic plates and dumbbells......
We'll await your video.
we could all be riding 30 year old corollas to work, but people earn the right to buy nicer cars. same thing applies here.
I literally could go to my box for just over 18 years with 17k. I'll let somebody else do all the work getting the gym set up. Plus I don't have to worry about people putting holes in my walls off the rage lift.

lol I just ordered a barbell. that's about it so far.
no concept 2 rower?
Impressive collection of weights/bars for a home gym. But what I was wondering was....why not just join a gym?? Why spend the money you did for this setup? You mentioned you live in CA. Do you live in a part of CA where there actually aren't many gyms??
Anderson C home gym has a lot of advantages
I'm usuallnot this curious, but what do you do? Professionally....
Klokov bar might be a good "do it all" l bar. Cheaper than Eleiko, me thinks...
I built my rack out of wood for around $100 and it is as good as the one in this video!
Yeah, that seems likely. Not.
Appreciate the sweet setup for what it is. Coming here to say that your DIY wood power rack is as good as a Rogue Monster rack is your hate coming through.
Joe Beararms I mean, I've used Rogue racks in gyms, but I don't see how they are better than my $100 homemade rack...
Nicholas R.M. Do you use a broomstick for a bar? Seems like the same mentality.
This gym is sick. You have great videos. Do you ever train clients out of your home gym? Would you consider renting it out for others to train in?
J. Graham Fadden AirGyms does this already. It works like Air BnB, but for home gyms.
Your home gym is nicer than my personal training studio :0
Leo, favorite belt for Olympic Lifting??
Class home gym, $17K! I'm ordering a bunch of Rogue equipment for a similar set up - keep lifting bro
Leo did you get rid of the reverse hyper?
Great home gym, dude!
Your proud of your bumpers lol
damnn i want to make my garage like this.. but i need the space for my car for winter. do you have any problems with working out when its cold?
+Mike Jones mike jonesss who?!? bro I live in way colder than single digits... and I wrote this is February when it was negative 15 in there soooo wayyy to be late to the partyyyy bruhh
+Mike Jones bro I've been lifting in my garage lol you little trollllll
class gym, pricey stuff but awesome man
nice gym brotha
The bumper plate rack, did you have any design plans for making it?
Donald Grunstra google bumper plate toaster rack. But remember that u have to build it to your bumpers specs.
Your gym is fire 💪
Beautiful !! Letos Go man ! I from Brazil, I Have Home Gym Power and training program sheiko !
what bar do you use for olympic lifting than?
this gym is insane
Damn 17k without tax or shipping... That's a lot of money to look like you don't even lift....
it's so funny that people like to comment on what other people buy, I mean even if you don't lift at all and you buy all this stuff nobody should criticize you for that. Like if he had the money why not ?
Kiril Grozdanovski probably make silly comments if someone drives a nice car too.
Kiril Grozdanovski hes big and hes strong so stfu with yo skinny ass
Some people aren't vain AF.
Kiril Grozdanovski cos he bought rogue and he uses crossfit plates so obviously he’s small
What do you do for a living? That stuff is crazy expensive, totally worth it, but still expensive.
$17,031
He said orthopedic surgeon I think.
JDS 6621 Will he do his own knee and shoulder surgeries? :)
I wonder if he would buy the same equipment if he had $18k all at once. I think I would get the Sorinex Apex rack
I notice you don't have a lat machine of any kind. Do you feel like it's unnecessary? I ask because my budget is limited, and I'm wondering if it's necessary or not.
Sean Gumm weighted pull ups/ rows is all you need
Jacob Bonfante thank you!
He’s got a Spud Inc. pulley system which attaches to the rack and can be used for rows and pulls.
I have spend that much in a year on wax I wish that’s what I loved to do
in college. my set up cost me $600. gains can't tell the difference
Sounds great. Congrats on your cheap setup.
Nice looking gym!
Nice!!! I wish I had the same. Enjoy!!
Got a squat rack with a pullup bar a weights. Done. 500 bucks on craigslist.
Are the Ivanko sold in Pairs? or are they sold seperatly.
in pairs!
Sick gym dude
Could easily get new chains at lowes or home depot for a way better price.
SirKingHoff I checked my local Lowe’s and Home Depot, and they don’t sell thick chains like his. I would have gotten them there myself if they had them.
How can I buy a rogue squat rack?i live in Thailand.
i think rogue has a store in Australia!
Don't buy a rogue rack. Doesn't matter where you live.
why
Connor Sandberg They are at least twice as expensive as it's competitors. Plus it's only metal frikn bars. You can build it yourself in 1 day for 1/10th the price. But if you want a ROGUE sign all over your house, than that's a different story.
Kazathul I will be waiting for your video of you building a comparable rack in a day.
I can't make out what you said after again faster, did you say Ghetto Racks?
33 dislikes ? They are definitely not a person who likes working out..
Mohammed Harris Ashraff Just people who wouldn't spend $250 for a nameplate.
Not about working
Or spending full retail on everything
Nice Gym!
Too much hate comments. I think that's money well spent as long as you use everything 3-5x/week. But where's the crazy audio system to go with it? I hope you're not using some bluetooth portable 8 watt speaker.
I just came here to look at the pretty gym gear
That is a good good price for your gym. I was thinking 25k
+OptimalTraining haha yeah ive spent way more but ive only included things that I currently have
I understand that , I bet you are on your second or third power rack and you most likely change your plates out and dumbbells at least once. I see in your description you are always upgrading. Your current setup is awesome.
complimenti :)

What gym do you go to that is $100 a year, planet fitness? Whatever gym it is, you probably wouldn't be able to do any Olympic lifting/progress.

Much Respect
What's the sq footage
what is your psychiatry bill?
Rogue is high quality and all, but for 17k you could have gone with cheaper equipment and a lot more stuff. Force USA is ok
17k?? Craiglist boys. Got my setup for about 5k... pretty much the same thing he has... never buy new gym equipment if you can. excluding bars, since u kinda have to with specialties
+Ain't even Natty Depends on the area. If your area has an equipment resell company it becomes very hard to snag good deals on quality used items.
+joerapo He's in SoCal, That's where I'm from. There are deals/steals every other month locally. Due to all the fail crossfit places going out of business. You can snag things things up for dirt..
+Ain't even Natty rich kid showing off, u jealous?
Why am I jealous? Just saying you can pickup equipment up for cheap. If you wanna buy retail go ahead. I have pretty much the same setup for for a quarter of what he spent..
