Oh how fun Catherine! You're so good about cooking for yourself, but every once in a while we need to treat ourselves. I love the history of the places you go. Thank you for taking us to the Alabama Hills and Sierra's again. I never tire of them. Also, thank you for sharing the resources and education tools you're connected to. I love that your channel is family friendly. I always know that I won't be surprised with anything vulgar and insulting...very rare these days, especially on UA-cam. Oh man that sandwich looked good. I think I'll go make one and sit outside in my backyard here in Phoenix, AZ. Thank you for your beautiful content Catherine.
I've spent most of my adult life playing in the area. I've lived and worked in BIshop, Flown my hang glider HIGH over Mt Whitney and fished every creek, stream and lake. I've floated and fished the Owens River and used to own 3 silver claims just north of Lone Pine. I even had a cabin on the claims. Now I live in Northern Nevada because I just could not handle the politics in CA any longer. But I still go back to play every year.
It's easy to see why the eastern Sierras might be your favorite place. Beautiful area. Lots of little towns to resupply, camping spots nearby. Thank You for taking me along. You keep posting And I'll keep watching.🙏👍😎
Cat, going up 395 again with you made my day. I have gone up the same roads however you were able to capture the essence of the eastern Sierras and its magnificent vistas. Again, you capture the sights and SOUNDS better than anyone.
Dear "Cat G" Your video brought back such wonderful memories! I lived in Independence back in late 70's with my boyfriend/husband to be. I worked at the Lone Pine Schats bakery, lasted one dinner shift at The Merry Go Round steak house., finally settled as a CNA at the local nursing home or sanatorium. I was a volunteer EMT also in Independence. That started my journey to being a registered Nurse, which was why we moved away. The area had no college for my goal. After 33 years as a Frontline HCW, ER/Trauma/ICU, I retired in 12/2020. This is my favorite video! So many of my favorite hikes/running trails are your camp grounds, too Thank you for sharing the beauty of Eastern Sierras! I have taken my truck camper, 1997 Lance Squire 3000, my flat towed Jeep Rubicon, and camped at Lone Pine RV park. Wish I could of afforded a 4x4 Dodge DRW, but my budget was stretched as I had just recovered from ovarian cancer. I have an 05 Dodge DRW CREW CAB 2X6 Cancer taught me what you already know. Live everyday with joy and abundance Again, this is MY favorite place. You did a great job.
Thank you for bringing some peace to this gal stuck on the western side 😄 the sense of calm is visible and hard to leave. As always, looking forward to your next view!.
Hi Catherin, If you're experiencing head aches at high elevations don't exert yourself too much. If your have breathing problems don't rest but get down to lower elevations to oxygenate yourself. If you don't you could die from it. Another option is to carry an oxygen bottle with you. If you go to a welding supply shop you can get breathable oxygen from them since they supply hospitals. Be careful up there. Also at higher elevations it's best to adapt to it first for a week before you exert yourself. Have a great time.
Good morning Cat. Thank you for sharing your latest adventure with us. I can’t think of a better way to start off my Sunday morning. Wishing you safe travels in whatever direction you go.
Hi Catherine! I lived in Inyokern for 16 years before moving into Ridgcrest. I wish I could show you the picture that hangs in my living room. When my husband and I moved to Idyllwild full time we wanted to take a piece of the Eastern Sierra with us. I know you would love the photo. We got tired of the hot summers, Bone chilling winters and of course the “W” you never actually say the word or it will blow and blow 😉. We do miss the sunrises and sunsets they are spectacular!
Thanks for the memories. It was around the time that Walter Egan was singing "Magnet and Steel" that my Pappy introduced us city boys to wilderness backpacking in the Sierras. Such beautiful vistas you capture magnificently on video. GOD bless you and protect you..✌😎.
... Cannot add what hasn't been said multiple times except ,, Thank You Catherine ...... Love the rugged ranges and museums whenever they're on the path .... Stay Safe and God Bless ....
What a fun day. The views of the mountains were lovely.. My husband Fred has a great eye for sunsets too. They really do make an amazing ending to the day. Thank you for sharing. Mary💕Fred
We are so similar in that, aside from a handful of very important ppl, we prioritize the call of the land in our lives. I feel so grateful to realize and accept this, and also to be able to heed the call...! Even though less than 2 years ago I was planning on building a house, now instead I'm focused on getting an adventure vehicle set up (which has been in my heart for a long time). Thanks for the inspo, as always! 🤍
My Sunday morning starts with a cup of coffee & your video. It’s a perfect start to a beautiful day. Those mountains were magical! Thank you for your family friendly channel! We appreciate it! 🙏
This part of North America is among the most beautiful geographically on our continent. Sunrise on the Sierra Nevada Mtns is breathtaking, few other places can match it. You obviously know this area well. Your photography shows great understanding of best lighting, time of day, etc. Top flight dear, love it. See you next week. Safe journey.
My wife and I have been enjoying your videos for sometime now . We were both blown away from the quality of the videos from this episode and feel that they are perhaps the most impressive videos that we have seen to date. The quality coming through our 4k tv is outstanding. We just wanted to let you know. Keep up the great work.
Hi Cat, as ever beautiful pictures. I was in Lone Pine in 1995! But the only thing I remember was that I bought a dash mat for my Nissan Pickup. With this dash mat I was the king in Germany!!! Many Regards! Your German friend, Ralf
Thank you so much for sharing beautiful Gaia's infinant Eternal splendor through your eye's! Awesomeness 🙏😔 Eternal, Infinant, Gratitude and Light. Namaste'🌟
Mt. Tom and the Tungsten Hills. As a child, I spent some of my greatest times in Bishop and at the Rocking K Ranch that my cousin owned. That's magic land Catherine!
It was indeed a beautiful sunset, with the orange & blue hues & the last rays of sunshine hitting the tops of the mountains. Those sauteed brussels sprouts looked good I'll have to try that.
Dear Cat 😃😘🍀👍, what for emotional last two video and message. Wow 🤩 thank you. 69.200 subscribers are like a full of people football arena 🏟 your favourite sports watching 😂😘 Nicole and my are two spectators and say ‘heeeeeeelloooo Cat’ we appreciate every game, every show. Always look forward to your videos to see what beautiful place you're staying. The music and camera work is amazing as always and the promotion flowed beautifully like a natural part of the video.
Been to Shatz Bakery sooo many times, in,our family we like to joke and say” but did ya have the bread?” Best bread in California . I love all their delicious pastries and goodies. Make my sweet tooth happy!
Home......I spent my high school years in Bishop....thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Woke up every morning to see Mt. Tom, Basin Mtn, and Mt Humphreys to the west. I live in Great Falls, MT and hike/fish the high country here and in WY, but I still miss hiking and fishing in my native Sierras......
Thank you! This was exactly what my spirit needed to refresh from the current news cycle. I’m so grateful for your content, kindness, and generosity of spirit. You are helping inspire others to preserve nature by introducing spots and making the process of getting out there seem accessible.
The snow-capped Sierras are absolutely gorgeous! As always, you really captured its breathtaking beauty. No wonder it's one of your favorite places to visit. Thanks for the visit to the museum which showed all of the movies, cameras, costumes, cars, and wagons on many a Western adventure movie. Jenny
Love those small towns and the museum was cool. Another place added to the list of places to visit. I am going to need a bigger notebook. Thank you for another great video.
We are so excited!!! We are headed that way the 6th of May. We’re going to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Death Valley. Beautiful country out there. I can’t wait to see it.
I'm heading that way in the next couple of weeks. Doing some camping in the Alabama Hills. Anyway, the last time I was there, I had my 10 month-old Jack Russell Terrier with me. I stopped at that same restaurant, Mt. Whitney, and asked if it was cool for me to sit outside with Amigo. The temp was around 100, but I live in Phoenix, so that's a kind of nice day, dontchaknow. Well, the waitress would have none of THAT!!! She said, "Don't be silly! You can sit out here, but he can come in!", and laughed and laughed, and then led us in. Threw in a chicken finger for m'boy, too. Definitely having some grub there before I pitch my camp! ---- Love your vids. Pleasing views and vistas, and you're easy on the eyes, as well. Muchas Gracias, Señora Nómada.
Such majestic views and scenery. Makes me yearn to travel west for some hiking and photography in my favorite places on planet earth. Nothing recharges the mind and body better than trips to places like this. Your video skills and choice of music in this one were super!
Again your videos of the eastern sierra’s makes me home sick and all the memories I had in CA when I was growing up. I love and miss living there and my trips to the same mountains. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.
What a great place. I went there for work and but live in the bay area. Love the 395! Spent my 20's backpacking and traveling all over the Sierra's. You rock! Noe in my early 50's I need to get back out and this channel inspires me!
Catherine, another beautiful video. I watch several RV videos and what I find is most ppl just camp, meaning the don't enjoy the terrain. You do it right. Good job.
Girl, now you went and made me homesick.. I lived in the Lone Pine area for many years but I had to leave in "98" . I moved away to find work.. I visit almost every summer when I can.. I would love to move back to the Owens Valley.. I think I'll look into that.. HAPPY TRAILS girl... Stay safe...
Hi Cat Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. Great to watch your video while having my morning coffee. So inspiring!! Keep uploading the beautiful content. ♥️
I understand why you love the Eastern Sierras... These view points are simply amazing. I assumed the Alabama Hills were in Alabama and not part of the Sierras before seeing the video 😁
We have stayed at Tuttle creek many times and love it. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Alabama hills and the museum were always a must stop. We have 4 nephews who still live in the area. I'm not entirely sure your rig could make Coyote Flats, but if you talk to the local rangers, maybe they can give you another similar location. This would be a summer location, since we are talking 10,000ft.

"You are the magnet, I am the steel." Isn't that by the 70s band Pablo Cruise? You're not old enough to know that era. Congrats to you if you are.
Journey well! You live a beautiful life.

We have stayed at Tuttle creek many times and love it. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Alabama hills and the museum were always a must stop. We have 4 nephews who still live in the area. I love the east side too! Thank you for taking me along until I can get back there myself!
I'm not entirely sure your rig could make Coyote Flats, but if you talk to the local rangers, maybe they can give you another similar location. This would be a summer location, since we are talking 10,000ft.
Must be watched on Full Screen. Those mountains sure are calling to me! Thanks again. WOW 😊
