The one thing I miss about driving truck was the ability to think clearer driving through the deserts. The scenery, lack of traffic and wide open vision. If my health would have allowed I'd still be out there. I started watching your channel back while driving because you showed me the off road areas that I could not see from my truck. I still enjoy your trips today. Thank you.....

In your experience , your take on which truck and camper to get or not ? If not brand new for both , how much to spend for a good combination ? What have you learned to look for when and now having your truck/camper after all this time ?

@@neilvsalmon6105 van type. Baja Chinook. I think the 2003 or 04 year model
      Dualy rear wheels. And a bathroom/shower .
You'll benefit from dual rear in stability while parked at campground. Moving yourselves around inside the camper, dually keeps the vehicle solid. Also, high winds while parked. Vehicle won't budge or no noticeable jostling

We binge watch Matt’s OffRoad Recovery Channel! Love Horseshoe Bend too! You might like Canyon de Chelly in Chinle, Arizona. We were there the beginning of this week and did a tour into the canyon with a Navajo guide….lots of rock art and ruins!

I remember visiting the bend well before it was a tourist trap with an entry fee and a parking lot. You just walked across the sand to get to the edge. The old trail is still there if know where to look. I've been backpacking around that area for many years. Still love it.

So good to see places near and dear to my heart thanks for a lovely video. Me and my brothers have kayaked that stretch of the Colorado river every year for nearly 20 years so I love Horseshoe Bend because of my River Experiences. It's become so commercialized and there are so many people on the river that you don't know if you will get a campsite when they drop you off at the dam so we haven't gone for the last two years, I miss the beauty and the peace of that canyon. The view from above IS spectacular, and to be there with only a few other people was a stroke of luck, it's usually packed with people everywhere. The new trail they made is really nice, makes it so almost anybody can make the trek. I hope you at least drove through Valley of the Gods while you were at the Goosenecks, it's a place you should camp if you haven't stayed there before. It's one of the most silent places I've ever been, very peaceful place to visit with beautiful Rock formations. Camping at Goosenecks State park is a real treat, especially if you get a spot like you did, it's such a treat to have that view from your campsite. That whole area is just breathtaking and soul boosting. Continued safe travels to you!
