I love our salt river wild horses and the volunteer organization that ensures their health and safety. They are iconic and we are blessed to have them. I’m so glad you got to spend some time with them 💜
Catherine not only do you show beautiful areas to us but I also actually enjoy your cooking portions. And you are always pleasant to your viewers which always makes it a pleasant experience . Thank you
Catherine, you are so sweet. You always smile through your "corner talks", you exude positivity, and the composition of your shots is lovely. Thank you. 💛
Thanks for taking me along Catherine, loved seeing the wild horses! How wonderful to have a meetup w your family too! You are so sweet to share your messy cabinets and how you fixed the space so nicely! ✌️🌞🐎
Horses are Free,as they should be. And they look like they are thriving. My son and I tent camped on the beach with wild horses in Assateague MD. It was Amazing to wake with them. We even had our dog and they walked together ❤
You Rock Catherine ! Not many female nomadic campers brave enough to document their ups, downs & sideways in their travel odesey ! Be Well & Carpe' Diem ~ !
Don't know if ever mentioned, your channel videos can randomly be stopped at any point to an AWESOME still picture. The horses were absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous scenery and wild horses you might want to try putting a rubber mat under your camper and the truck bed Timmy on UA-cam did it to Truck house live it works Happy Valentine's day God bless be safe
The silver lining to your pipes freezing was seeing the wild horses. Not a bad trade off!! 😀. Wonderful video. I’m so glad you decided to post this video. A lot of us (including me!) have no interest in the Super Bowl! Thank you for a slice of peace and serenity on a Sunday morning!
It was amazing to see those beautiful horse in the wild...in there natural habitat free to run...Wow it was beautiful...Thank you for your beautiful video's..
I know you are a west coast girl but Florida is nice in the wintertime. No freezing pipes. So many things to see, wild horses, manatees, clear springs, and the beaches I think you would like it. Beautiful scenery in this video. Thanks for sharing and stay well and warm.
So nice to view wild horses and other wildlife. A secret tip for mashed potatoes, just as the potatoes are firming up, add a raw egg and mix it in. It makes a glorious difference. Also, there is electric heat tape in the market that you can purchase and wrap your pipes with to prevent freezing or to thaw out.
Here you go again Catherine, the Grand canyon is what it is, a horse is a horse, the ruins are what they are, ................I'm looking at your shepherds pie and the French toast, always leave your site hungry. Glad your pipes are ok. As the hippies used to say, keep on, keepin on.
Come on up to Montana, Catherine! It was a balmy -20F a few days ago but now it’s getting up to the mid 30s. Tshirt weather! Downside is I/you basically have to dry camp. 10 days now with no shower so it gets a bit rough, hahaha. Cheers from a fellow youtubin’ full timer up here in the cold cold north country.
Just to be ultra precise, shepherd’s pie is made with ground lamb, and cottage pie is made with ground beef. And your cottage pie looks delicious. I love that you are showing the use of the Coleman oven.
SHARING is caring please FOLLOW n SUPPORT this BEAUTIFUL BROADCAST tyvm she's amazing!!! !! !! Safe travels !!! Loved those horses .. what a blessing ... without you going out videotaping this for us to enjoy from our comfy chairs . Mine has wheels so it's extra special . Thanks so much are the best words i can think of. Limited but never quits .......
I agree - GrandCanyon hard to say isn’t the best thing in AZ to see; but u Rembrandt can turn a cactus into a masterpiece - love ur work. Drive safe, stay well.
I live in Tucson and we love to kayak down the lower Salt River right where you were in this video. In April the Stewart Mountain Dam, just below Sahuaro Lake, is opened up and the river runs for a 12 mile stretch for tubing and kayaking until it is closed off again in October. We see the horses all the time as they come to the river to cool off and eat the aquatic plants. They are humanely managed by the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group, my Amazon Smile charity of choice. That whole area of the state is simply gorgeous. ❤️
I love "Sheppards-Cottage Pie." So many variations of yummiest goodness. I found using frozen shredded potatoes give a nice texture change. You find the best camping-hiking spots.
C; 20f are a challenge, single digits are pure survival, seen lots of snow this year, Feb is always the coldest, gotta love sw, at least it's dry cold , stay free CG, ❤
I love wild horses! Living in Carson City, NV when around 20 years old, we had open range beyond our backyard fence and would be visited by wild horses almost every morning. Arizona is a beautiful and unique state. Hard to beat the winters! I live in Prescott, and the last 7 days have been sunny skies and calm winds in the mid 60’s. 🙂❤️
Dear Cat 🥳👍😘, great idea to move! Awesome, the wild horses. A dream to watch them in the Canyon Scenery 🏜👍 But… my favourite was the coyote 😍! What damned tasty food did you cooked 🤩🤤 will be gold for our waist 😂 Thank you for nice pictures again 😘Your big Berlin Fan Couple, Nicole and Hardy 🥳👍😘
I have been to the Salt River. It is beautiful. One thing I do when cooking in my oven, is to line it with parchment paper, then add whatever I am baking. Makes cleanup much easier. Thanks for the video.
The food looks good and watching and enjoying your video too Catherine and country colorful and beautiful and the wild horses awesome video too sweet 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎💪👌❤️ beautiful horses too and be safe out there too
Wow Catherine, that must have been a very memorable event to see wild horses. They seemed so gentle. The French toast is making so hungry, have to get a few breakfast burritos out. Arizona looks beautiful, the landscape, and I can see why you visit, it all seems so "new". Happy Trails, and great shots: video and photo.
especially the ones where you go hiking and camp out in a tent for a day or so, especially since I don't hike anymore myself being 70+ yrs old now. Watching your videos, seeing the trails and experiencing what you experience is such a pleasure, Thank you so much for all the effort & work you do to produce these videos. I've been traveling for a few years in my own DIY camper Van so when you mentioned the cold in winter time, it reminded me what I do. I basically chase the sun all the time, spending most of my time along the pacific coast because I used to surf when I was younger so I favor the ocean, but when it turns cold during the winter months, I end up chasing the warmer climate and usually end up in southern California where its sunny and warmer all the time. I used to live in Arizona and even though its wicked warm, better stated .. hotter than hot, its wicked cold at night since its desert ... so that's another reason why I don't favor going to the desert to swag over into Arizona or New Mexico in the winder months. Southern California is the best for 3 winter months. There's plenty to do, plenty of places to visit for 3 months in all of southern California so after 5 years of roaming around the 11 western states I have come to the conclusion my winter months will always be in southern California.
Saguaro cactus are your friend in the winter, they don't like to grow in freezing temperatures. Another place that stays above freezing all winter is along the lower Colorado river.
No words...just amazement! A beautiful experience to see the wild horses indeed! So many different colors, so peaceful! Thank you Catherine, your videos bring me so much joy!
The water pump in the bay usually with hot water tank get damaged impellars from frozen water. I place a reflecting heat lamp with low bulb to keep heat inside but safe . Mine is below my bed. Easy to get to. Usually high leak item is the water pump. Newbie here.
Cat- I stay in a 19 foot trailer for work, and to avoid the frozen water line situation I have a small air compressor to blow the water out of the lines with a blow out fitting that screws into the city water inlet. I do that every freezing night before I leave for my night shift. Only takes a few minutes. Once connected, I open all the taps and blow air in until there is no significant water coming out. You can also use the compressor to put air in your tires, but it runs on AC (plug in) power. By the way, I made your skillet pasta dish, came out great!
Beautiful area of AZ...the portion about the wild horses was outstanding. I retired to Buckeye 10 years ago after living in San Diego for 40 years..it's an acquired taste but I've come to love the desert and it's beauty.
Don't know where the pipes are freezing. Is it the fresh water tank or the lines leading to the faucet. Probably the lines. If the freezing occurs inside the cabinets, and you are plugged in and/or have enough electricity/battery, put a trouble light with a clip inside the cabinet. Use an old fashioned incandescent bulb as over 90% of the energy used to light the bulb is used to create heat.

Catherine so glad you found the wild horses. Want sure if you would see them. Glad you did. I’ve been watching a show called Heartland and it’s a show all about horses. Wild ones too! It’s a great show. It’s been on for 15 years. They have it to where you can binge watch it. It’s a great family oriented show as well. I love horses. Very cute animals. We had two horses before one we sold the other can’t remember what happened. I love mini horses. Hope you have a very good week and weekend and see you soon!
If you had come further south in AZ, you could stay in campgrounds near Wickenburg, a resort town on the banks of the Hassayampa River. Once you drink those waters, you'll never tell the truth again! 89°F in the yard at noon. Love your pics of my old stomping grounds. God bless you, keep you safe!
Glad the pipes thawed out. Sheppard's Pie is a great idea. I grew up in Tucson, Roosevelt Lake is my favorite lake in Az. The horses are so wonderful to see, as well as the other active wildlife in the area. French toast for breakfast is great. Have a great time. Thank you for sharing this with us today from Henrico County Virginia
Freedom on the hoof. That's what wild horses are for me. They can be found in some surprising places. Like in a "planned community" near Dayton, NV. I was visiting a friend and his wife and we got to see a herd from their great room. They are one of those things you never take for granted. No matter how many times you see them. Perfect accompanient for a "Catherine & Cappucino" snowy Sunday morning. For my Shepherd's Pie, I change it ujp a bit at times by using potatoes au gratin or scallpped potatoes as the topper. Plus, I use Knorr Aromat seasoning. May Almighty God continue to Bless, Guard, Guide and Protect you in your adventures!
Arizona will never be the same, with you gone! love you can still stay positive, with, frozen pipes good new no damage. Got a trivia comment no one cares but horses are NOT indigenous to North America! Thay were brought here by the Spanish. thank you stay safe on your adventures
Dear Cat, another beautiful Sunday morning. You bring us such beauty and history and BONUS cooking. Loving the oven. Your videos mean so much to us and showing the beauty of our wonderful country. You are a torchlight keeping beauty and laughter coming our way.
If you like to see Ferrell horses, the Red Desert in Wyoming has thousands of them. They feed on all the Vegetation and out compet the native wildlife.
Interesting music for cooking lol lol lol lol Yes wild horses are beautiful to behold.....Carson Valley Nv has a lot of them....they walk right thru the motels there and feed on the grass sometimes....
A solution to your pipes freezing without relocating camp. I was in New Mexico 2 weeks ago and temperatures dropped to 8 degrees each night for a week and my water lines to the bathroom froze but not the kitchen. After pipes thawed out the water started flowing again. So, each night I would just drain the pipes both hot and cold (not your freshwater tank) at the low point drains (bypass the water heater). Then in the morning close the drain valves and turn on the water pump and you have running water again. You only lose a few ounces of water.
I agree... winter camping and frozen pipes are not very fun. Another awesome video Cat! Love your cooking, not to mention the beautiful scenery to capture every week! Happy trails and see you on the next one! Looking forward to where you'll end up next!
Sheppards Pie is also one my favorites. Reminds me of my youth as Mom would make it for Sunday supper on a cold winter day. We also have wild horses in the Rocky Mountain Foothills of South Central Alberta. Take care in beautiful Arizona Cat.
Wow! Didn't even realize it was Sunday and I'm having coffee with you! Yes, plenty of Italian Sweet Cream .. LOL. Love those morning shots of the sun coming up on the mountains .. got that here in Tucson and it never grows old. I'm home at he moment planning my next outing. And I have to chase temps! 40F is about as low as I like to go in my small rigs. In AZ I try and stay South of the Mogollon Rim in the colder seasons and North of it in Summer .. Always chasing temps! LOL 🤠
Another great video, Catherine. My mouth was watering watching you prepare the ‘-pie’; it’s one of my favorite dishes, too. My Brit friend clarified its name for me a while back: If using ground beef it is a ‘Cottage Pie’ , as Shepherd’s Pie always uses only ground lamb (hence the name). Delicious in either case! Keep up the good work and stay safe!
In the words of the Rolling Stones: "Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away" from your awesome videos! Godspeed and, cheers!
...Arizona is "PURE MAGIC" in the Winter.!!.and spring...and fall.!!!...thanks.Cat.!!
I pray that God blesses you wherever you go
Always enjoy your videos. Thank you. Blessings
Another beautiful video. Thanks Catherine.
Shepards Pie.....you should be able to fly to the top of these mountains.....you angel.........
Thank you
Add some tomato paste and a can of chicken broth to that pie real good comfort food.
The word that comes to mind the last time I was around horses is MAGNIFICENT. This is where I see God - in the eyes of beautiful animals ...
Catherine, you are so sweet. You always smile through your "corner talks", you exude positivity, and the composition of your shots is lovely. Thank you. 💛
A Truck Camper Manufacturer should sponsor you and give you a new or trade-in camper, they would get GREAT advertising.
Thanks for taking me along Catherine, loved seeing the wild horses! How wonderful to have a meetup w your family too! You are so sweet to share your messy cabinets and how you fixed the space so nicely! ✌️🌞🐎
Seeing horses wild and free❤️

I enjoy how most of your content is about the place you are visiting. You give me locations where I will visit. Keep it going!
Mmmmmhaaa...💋❣️Cat🤭! Nothing to eat 🐈🧐! But,but as They say - ' The real Artist must be hungry' 🤣🤣🤣...

If you don’t need the wheel well space you can add insulation and keep your living space warmer and add some protection to your pipes.
Perhaps if she uses PVC as a replacement for the metal pipes will insulate as needed
The pipe protection Mr. Pollocko suggests is called foam pipe insulation. It is a hard styrofoam strip that
simply slips over the pipe. Any big hardware store(Home Depot) should sell this. It is very inexpensive and very easy to install. There is already a slit down the length of the insulation so you just have to cut the strip to the proper length and then slip it over the exposed pipe. You don't need any special tools to do this. A utility knife or even a kitchen knife could be used. Not sure if this will cover all the susceptible lengths of pipe because you have to have access to the pipe to slip the foam over it but it is a cheap and effective method. Cheers!
Actually Sue regular fiberglass insulation to fill space between camper and truck bed to insulate lower camper walls .
Next winter consider Baja Mexico. You have the prefect vehicle, there are plenty of fellow gringo campers, plenty of hiking, take a blow-up SUP, snorkel, etc.
Another beautiful video! Seeing those wild horses was wonderful!!
Hello Nora
NICE AND THANKS AGAIN FOR THE VIDEO TOURS OF PLACES YOU LOVE. KEEP 'EM COMING.
We used a few gallons of rv antifreeze in our Lance camper. We used the water for cleaning, showering but bottled water for drinking. Best Regards, Wilson
Totally enjoying your content. Love the hiking, cooking, camping etc. You are getting me motivated to do what you’re doing.
I’m glad your ok
I mentioned before; foam tape wrap will work simply and inexpensively. All the best.
Have a great day ,thanks for sharing this video.

Beautiful video. Stay warm.
Hi nice vid, I'm english and shepards pie is made from lamb, Cottage pie is beef Lol

Seeing those horses running free is inspiring.
If you like to see Ferrell horses, the Red Desert in Wyoming has thousands of them. They feed on all the Vegetation and out compet the native wildlife.
