If ES6 does, in fact, end up being set in Hammerfell I really hope we can finally find out whether Saadia was guilty or not. It's bothered me for years.
she was. She claimed that the Alikr were working for the Dominion which makes no sense as Hammerfell told the Empire to go fuck themselves and r kicking the Thalmor's asses already. Goes to prove how those curved swords r far superior
@@GenericUsername-qp1ww I always thought that Kematu's story added up a bit more, too, but there was an argument to be made for Saadia, too. For instance why wasn't she living under Thalmor protection? Why go to Whiterun and pose as a tavern girl?

Odd.
I would love if there was 2 thieves guilds, one in high rock, who follows the classic cloack and dagger type, and one in hammerfell, that is much more raider/pirate intended. You can only join one of them and each has its own questline, that does not involve destroying the other one, they are no friends, but since they operate in such different ways they are not enemies either, but there is a secondary quest line that involves expanding the influence of your guild across the whole map, but it doesn't destroy the other, there's simply a chance to gain influence and power, that culminates in both guilds working together, during a great heist at the most secure place in the game, maybe the vault of the largest bank. The raiders attack the city and start plundering, it is the biggest raid in the game, with the most feared raider in command (aka the player if you chose this side), but that is merely a distraction, while that is happening the best infilrator, (aka the player if you chose this side) is sent to get inside the large vault, and get out unseen, there are too many guards to fight you way through but less so than normaly, you have to sneak in and out. But that is the secondary quest highlight, and you can see people commenting afterwards, "have you heard? Seems like someone broke into the vault, wired, the raiders didn't went into it, but they are definitely looking for someone.
This concept is really cool! I'd love to have two separate thieves guild organizations in ESVI. The one which would operate from the shadows could be (despite this is very cliché) kind of a "40 thieves" kind of guild. With one major hideout, and also several other little bases in smaller towns, it would take the mantel of the traditional Tamriel thieves, which take expertise in non-lethal thefts, heists and other business of the sort. The pirate thieves guild would operate from a series of ships, which would act as mobile bases of operations, and it would take a much more head-on approach to their enterprises. Anyway, I hope Bethesda includes some sort of thieves guild faction in ESVI. I mean......who knows how ESVI will turn out to be, and whether or not it'll have a thieves guild......but hey, we can dream 😂🤔
@@sexualpest6471 You were the chosen one! You were supposed to bring balance to the franchises, not leave it in Star Wars! You have become the very nerd you swore to destroy!
All i want is for a Major City to feel like a Major City. Everytime i Walk into any town in skyrim its like 10 houses at most and like 20 people. Thats not a town, give me a real town
@Wirr Ling They could just throw in a bunch of procedurally-generated names and a bunch of stock voice responses to create named NPCs on the fly. No reason for NPC to have a fully-fleshed out backstory tbh.
Yes, the cities must be fully fleshed out, since there's not much of anything in Hammerfell except deserts. I want an Assassins Creed level cities. Even according to the lore, most Redguards are urbanized and stay in the major cities
It’d be interesting if your race had more impact on how characters interact with you, like say someone is prejudiced against Khajiit, they may be a little harder to convince or throw slurs at you if you are a Khajiit.
And some people should not be convinceable at all. Maybe you'll have to find info out thru someone else or wait until the bigot falls asleep and search his desk. Or intimidate of course. Morrowind style reputation would be nice fit here, maybe the racist would spread rumor that you intimidated, people in the town in general would like you less. And the ones that liked you before- or maybe theyre just blunt- would tell you the rumor about you with some emotion. Maybe they give benefit of the doubt, maybe they say 'i always thought he was a jerk but maybe he's got a point about you lizards'. Realistically these rumors would have to be quest related but damn that'd be so cool.
That’s because hammerfell has been the region most visited in the franchise. I’d much rather see Anywhere on the south side of Tamriel. We only ever get the see the north. Arena-technically all but not ver detailed Daggerfall-Hammerfell and High rock Redguard (mostly hammerfell) Battlespire-different plane Morrowind- (obvious) Oblivion-(Cyrodiil) Skyrim-(obvious) ESO has lots in everywhere, But still no dedicated DLC in blackmarsh or Valenwood, while we continue to get more in Cyrodiil, Skyrim, Morrowind, and high rock again. Why never any attention in the heartland of the Thalmor? There’s so much opportunity to explore that and see some areas we have never seen or seen much less with so much space for depth, story and exploration. I just feel like there is so much missed opportunity when they CONTINUE to just repeat the northern half of Tamriel over and over and over.
The amount of you two's commitment to the elder scrolls series is astonishing, very well put together video guys. You two should be apart of bethesda's creative team. Well done!
The opening is genius! Because being a prisoner is often immersion breaking. What if you want to play as a noble knight? Well, your slate isn't clean cause you start out a criminal. The idea that you were instead captured by bandits brilliantly erases that issue while keeping the tradition alive. Amazing.
To be fair in Skyrim you could have been doing anything the implication is that you could have been taken prisoner by mistake. But you could easily play it either way
In North Korea, they have Kin Punishment. Especially in older times also. If your grandparents committed a serious crime, the next 3 generations would be punished.
After playing through skyrim so much I thought I was the only one to notice that I hear it every time and end up like "awfully coincidental how that would be great if the next game is in hammerfell"
One thing that i want in elder scrolls 6 is to have smaller factions that focus on individual skills. Like the bards college in skyrim, but if it was actually about your speech skill not just going into more dungeons. An example would be a small alchemists guild that has like 5 ladies as members. It was just be maybe 5 quests that revolve around making unique potions that you can only learn by joining. It could also have small story lines such as keeping with the alchemist guild maybe one of the members is a high elf and they are a normal high elf and think they are better then everyone. All the other members hate them and one sees the elf stealing ingredients from the guild so they get the player to find out for sure in order to get the high elf kicked out. The player can actually find out the high elf joined the guild and is stealing in order to heal their sick child that no one knows a cure for. These small guilds would be a chance for the player to focus on skills that bigger guilds dont focus on and also give more roleplaying ability.
why always the elf is the criminal?I think it would be a better story if the High Elves is only a victim and another member of the guild has been stealing from the guild.
@@melchid8448 True i really did not put to much thoight into the actual story i just wanted to show an idea that i thought would be interesing but that would make it more interesting since everyone always thinks its the evil elf, but then you find out it was actually someone else who you didnt suspect at all.
@@soulzy3596 Bethesda has had 10 years to think about it so there really is no excuse if the game doesn’t have engaging side stories and quests, but Bethesda loves procedurally generated quests so my hopes aren’t to high. Guess the real test will be how Starfield is handled.

Es6 should start with the prisoner being transferred via ship but the ship crashes due to a bad storm. I feel like that would set a really nice scene for the beginning
HippieDoggs Was thinking the same! And then after you wash up ashore, you’re confronted by the great Alik’r desert with death seemingly almost certain. At least, until....
No, i don't want to be a prisoner again, i mean are they can't start the game in any other creative way? Like inmigration, being transported sick/hurt for treatment, being sent there as diplomat or spy, i know that is Bethesda's "tradition" to start the player as a prisioner but i tired of it.
You hit your head on a rock, knocking you out. Suddenly, you wake up in the back of a horse drawn cart. As your vision begins to focus on the now snowy mountainside, a blond man sitting across from you in the same cart says "Hey, you. You're finally awake."
Wouldn't make much sense since it's in Skyrim's provincial boundaries, but the Forgotten Vale on the other hand might, as it's vaguely between Skyrim and High Rock and, well, forgotten by both.
Factions idea (maybe for an expansion) : the Corsairs vs the East Empire Company. As you can guess, both those factions would be very sailing oriented and focus mostly on the Abecean sea region. Both of those factions would also have two main paths that would each determine a different outcome (for a total of four outcomes). First in the East Empire Company there would be Elena, a young Imperial officer that joined the East Empire Company with the stated goal of reinforcing the Empire and compete with the Thalmor navy. On the other hand there would be Harpagon, a Breton priest of Zenithar that joined the East Empire Company with the primary goal of making as much money as possible and that will push for the Company to secede (either partly or completely) from the Empire and become its own autonomous entity. On the Corsairs side, there will also be two other paths represented by two different leaders. The first being Alatu, an Alik'r veteran that served in the Imperial navy during the Great War and decided to become a pirate after the defeat (thus he will be using a modified Imperial warship as his main ship). He's a fierce Redguard traditionalist and nationalist that hates the Thalmor and will make everything he can to undermine them. His corsair peer would be a colorful, young and reckless Redguard captain named Jaamis. As a "chaotic good" archetype idealist, Jaamis will be idolizing the freedom of the pirate lifestyle, doing whatever he wants whenever he can. The faction and leader the player decides to side with will determinate the outcome of the Abecean Isles : If the player sided with Elena, the isles will be reintegrated into the Empire, completed with an Imperial garnison and a temple to the eight divines. If the player decide to follow Harpagon instead, the archipelago will become an autonomous trading post regulated solely by the EEC where money is law. On the pirate side, supporting Alatu will cement the place of the islands as a Crown posession, with the Redguard corsairs tolerated along the Crown guards. Any trade from either the Empire or the Summerset Isle while be completely banned. Siding with Jaamis instead will turn the Abecean Isles into a fully independent pirate republic where money is king and freedom is law and with constant plunder in every directions becoming the new way of life. On an unrelated subject, Thras, Systres & Pankor, the remains of Yokuda or Balfiera would all make awesome location for a TESVI expansion if it was set in Hammerfell.
It would be great if they had ship mechanics like in Sea Of Thieves so you could have maritimes faction quest lines that you play out via sailing, boarding actions, etc.

It'd be cool if they incorporated a sailing mechanic. With Hammerhead being on the coast it would be cool to sail from one city to the next. They could also have a few rocky islands off the coast that you could sail to in your adventures, maybe they'd have little dungeons or settlements, and you could find unique alchemy ingredients like the super nirnroots in the DragonBall DLC . Tbh they should think about making their own game at this point, cause this is a better idea and execution of what players of elder scrolls games want than anything Bethesda could make or do.
If it’s set in Hammerfell I want sandworms, definitely, sandworms are non-negotiable! 😀 I agree about the irritating time pressure that Oblivion and Skyrim began with, it was annoying particularly as you are still learning the controls and your place in the world. I prefer the start of Morrowind which is totally relaxed and gives the player time to enjoy the environment. Your story is fabulous, very enjoyable and appropriate.
Love how morrowind starts. Tutorial style intros are annoying for the mere fact that you Have to do it. That's why alternate start mod is so popular smh
@Erxc No. ESO is a MMO while the Main games are Single player RPG's. It makes sense that ESO is not just one province. A single player Main Game would be: way to expensive, time consuming, complicated, hard to run, etc. if it allowed us to go everywhere. Not to mention the lack of good content, characters, and how it wouldnt be a profit.
Hey, this actually has happened before (not due to popular demand though). _TES3: Morrowind_ (2002) was originally supposed to be set in the *Summerset Isles.*
If skyrim had a Scandinavian Norse influence than if elder scrolls 6 is set in Hammerfell than I want Hammerfell to have an Sudanese and Maghreb style influence
That’s what would be so great about setting it in Hammerfell. You have so many vibrant cultures and diverse environments to choose from. Grasslands horsemen, nomad caravans, mountain steppes, vast rolling deserts, even maritime cultures. Imagine being able to craft a Maghreb headdress or travel the sub-Saharan Silk Road.
The sad part is that it'll probably be worse than this, hopefully they take the fandoms please to heart to 1. Have unvoiced protag 2. Less chosen one style story 3. Less stupid characters who don't make out of character idiotic decisions 4. More open questlines with different endings
What I hope to see if a well developed none "asshole" Thalmor companion. Imagen him being high and mighty, stil beliving in the what the Thalmor is right, but dosen't see the bad in it. He would be really friendly, cheerful and loyal to you as a friend, but stil belive that if the Thalmor win, the world will be a better place.
Personally i think that would go completely against the Thalmor ideology. Its not that the Thalmor think they should rule the world or that even they are superior. They are the most dangerous organization to ever set foot on Nirn and they hate ANYTHING that even has a hint of mortality. they want to go back to being gods and for men to be wiped out. The only way a Thalmor could truly be happy and cheery with another person is likely if it was another Altmer
@Mis.Astrid That would be like making a game with Nazis in it and wanting one who isn't an asshole. A honest Nazi is always an asshole. A honest Thalmor is always an asshole. They have fundamental beliefs that make it impossible for them to not be assholes. The only way to not make them assholes is if they have started doubting their beliefs and realized people other than them have a right to exist in peace and maybe genocide is a bad goal to follow through with.
Robin Graves unless they release a game in the style of redguard, it’s almost certainly out of the question for a BGS ES game. By that I mean ESVI because if there’s ever a VII it’s 15-20 years away
With all due respect I disagree 38:52 the Thalmor played a small role in Skyrim at least gameplay wise, I don't think this will be the case in ES6 because the Thalmor threat needs to be dealt with in this sequel as it's a major plot line or it'll be an extremely disappointing loose end if the protagonist in Redfall isn't a major player in bringing them down whether or not your a "prophecy hero" like in the previous instalment or just some rando guy as most want because it's more RPG friendly. It only makes sense for the Thalmor to make a return and be resolved. being the big bad in ES6 because they were hyped so much in Skyrim and all the political tension and bad blood between Hammerfell and the Aldemiri Dominion. I think a large scale war will happen between them while the Empire wages it's own war against them which the protagonist will hear about getting good news and bad but ultimately the Thalmor will fall and perhaps the Empire will be reunified or break up into smaller countries perhaps, but I'd like to see the Empire back in business and regain its former glory. Maybe a secret descendant of Martin (apparently he was a naughty boy involved in the occult at one point, 🍆 🍑 💦) being discovered would be an interesting detail to hear rumours of.
Great educated guesswork it would be very interesting to see those things! ^_^ Taking down the Aldmeri Dominion would be a dream for us Elder Scrolls fans!
Flippin love your idea of each faction having like two types for different players. Love that! Like two rival assassins guilds or rival thieves guilds. Amazing. Way more playability.
Man that intro music gives me goosebumps and gets me even more hyped. Can’t wait! At least they’ll give us another teaser or maybe an actual trailer this year at E3. I hope the game is an improvement upon Skyrim but I’ll settle for it being as good as a DLC-sized mod😂 Too bad the ideal TES game isn’t realistic to Bethesda’s capabilities.
@@Yamifira no it's not, it's been completely upgraded and overhauled. SpearixPlays facts. I think @Voice Of Reason wants them to make a entirely new engine like how 343 Industries just did for Halo Infinite. I love the TES franchise but I would love to see that amazing world and lore be put into an awesome engine where combat isn’t stupid lame and there is improved animations for most things. But that’s unlikely🙃
@@litnitelite4045 The Point i'm making though is that they have essentially made a brand new engine as they have completely revamped the engine and use many new features including ray tracing, which in turn makes the game look amazing and have revamped their old animations and npc's, all they did was keep the same name as the creation engine, that's all.
SpearixPlays yea but I hope it’s an actual improvement/upgrade like they say it is instead of minor adjustments. Looking at all previous Bethesda games the engine for each is pretty garabage. Even Fallout’s and that’s the most recent. I want to see something like The Witcher’s or Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order’s engine but with the world and lore of TES. I know what you mean tho.
I have to say, I've been for the first time delving deep into TES recently and binging you alls content has been huge, and the love you all have for this series shines through in this video even more than any others. The attention to detail, the ambition tempered by realistic expectations. Skillbill1000 perhaps in an effort to preserve the dark brotherhood, babette gives nazir vampirism, allowing them to stay alive through the probable time skip from skyrim to es6 👀
I’d love to see the dark brotherhood have a place in the ES6. I know the Dawnstar sanctuary in Skyrim is the only Dark-brotherhood sanctuary left in all of Tamriel, however I think there’s a way the faction could be implemented in the ES6. Considering the fact the the ES6 most likely takes place following the events of Skyrim this theory could be implemented and I think it would be awesome. After the dark brotherhood’s presence is restored in Skyrim, with the assistance of its members: Babette, Nazir, maybe Cicero, the player character, and a growing number of new initiates, The group decides that it’s time for the Dark-brotherhood to start moving towards expanding its influence, and one day be restored to the massive and highly influential organization that it once was. With this sentiment in mind, Nazir volunteers to venture back to his original homeland in Hammerfell with some other members in order to start a new sanctuary. I think Nazir would love to get away from the Dawnstar sanctuary as well since he finds Cicero extremely annoying (I guess this point would only apply is Cicero is alive in the canon). The player could help Nazir establish a dark brotherhood presence in Hammerfell and grow it into a powerful organization with many ties to different factions. If the player has a different perspective however, they could choose to snuff out the weak and despicable group of assassins before they are able to start spreading their dark influence throughout Hammerfell. I haven’t finished the video yet so hopefully they don’t go over anything too similar to what I stated. But what do you guys think? Are there any major holes in my idea?
Great video. I know it is HIGHLY unlikely you will see this comment. But I imagine ancient Yokudan ruins and spirituality to be like the Islamic mysticism of Sufism. Which is all about sacred geometry. Patterns and symbols and shapes that hold deep meaning in terms of the universe. There is a very popular IOS game called Monument valley that is very much inspired. You explore beautiful valleys which ancient ruins that are very different than elder scrolls. There are beautiful geometric patterns and clean lines. It is calming and peaceful with great depth. I would love if there was inspiration from this. Perhaps even in ancient ruins. There are no Draugr. Or crypts but un-aging mystical temples that have stairs and pathways going all sorts of directions. There are stairs that move and walls that shift. Puzzles everywhere. Having the player make and create sacred shapes in order to pass through doors and open up secret passage ways. Deep inside the ideas of Sufism, which I think the Elder scrolls should adapt as Hammerfell derived from this culture is the idea that math has the code of the universe. That numbers and pattens can open up and answer existence and show the inner workings of the gods. The Fibonacci symbol is an example of how this idea exists in many other cultures. I think it would bring new depth and a nice change from the Skyrim Nordic pantheon to introduce elements from other cultural backgrounds. Perhaps in the main quest lines that these geometric mysticism plays deep role and ties in to the Dwemer who probably would have marveled at this and want to know more about the yokudan mysticism with geometry and math
I hope you do catch this. And you let me know if you can incorporate this into this wonderful idea. Perhaps even the skill set building and menus are reflective of this sacred geometry theme
Such a thoughtful idea that in Skyrim one could immediately find references to middle-eastern culture in which bodies were embalmed and mummified deep down in some draugr-infested ancient nordic tombs. Spiders, among many venomous creatures like snakes and scorpions, are also common in deserts.
I can't decide if I'd rather a Hammerfell setting or High Rock, on one hand it's not often we get a RPG completely set in the Middle East/North Africa inspired area and it would be a nice change from the magical Forests, but on the other hand I really want to see more of the Orcs homeland and I just like playing as an Orc or Wood Elf most the time so it'd be cool. Really if it ends up being either I'll be happy, if it is set in both in an insanely massive Open World I'd lose my mind.
Orsinium was actually moved to the border of Hammerfell and Skyrim after it was sacked, it's no longer in High Rock. I'm hoping for both, but if we only get one I'd prefer Hammerfell just because it'd be nothing like Skyrim
"As vast as an ocean, but deep as a puddle" One province is just fine, having two means less time for meaningful or fun quests... I don't want the game to be full of mostly fetch quests
@@princesstinklepanties2720 my point still stands, Bethesda has trouble with just one province, let alone 2 or mmo sized.
This is so cool!
thieves guild is tamriel wide organization.
@@netkoizmase8831 call it the pirate coven, the free merchants or whatever

The faction and leader the player decides to side with will determinate the outcome of the Abecean Isles :
If the player sided with Elena, the isles will be reintegrated into the Empire, completed with an Imperial garnison and a temple to the eight divines.

@@dylankane9709 wrote it in the middle of the night, so I was tiered as shit, but yeah.
Uh
@Mis.Astrid That would be like making a game with Nazis in it and wanting one who isn't an asshole. A honest Nazi is always an asshole. A honest Thalmor is always an asshole. They have fundamental beliefs that make it impossible for them to not be assholes. The only way to not make them assholes is if they have started doubting their beliefs and realized people other than them have a right to exist in peace and maybe genocide is a bad goal to follow through with.
this would make a GODLY dnd campaign
Please make another one of these for High Rock, I love Breton lore and culture. And the lands they inhabit
imagine discovering golden ruins and archives beneath the sand and rocky weathered mountains. that would be sick
This one just wants to play as all the 18 forms of Khajiit.
@Wirr Ling look up the Crimes Against Nature mod. 😉
That or make it a prequel where we can play as the extinct elven races
Khajiit fans will never get what they want. Accept it.
@Robb113 i use that mod XD.
Robin Graves unless they release a game in the style of redguard, it’s almost certainly out of the question for a BGS ES game. By that I mean ESVI because if there’s ever a VII it’s 15-20 years away
Damn it. Now I'm hyped for something that won't exist.
I laughed in sadness. Funny, but true.
That pfp... what fucking year is it?
That opening scene would be amazing in a first person view!
What if the Dragonborn from Skyrim was a descendant of him?
I would LOVE this!!
Great educated guesswork it would be very interesting to see those things! ^_^ Taking down the Aldmeri Dominion would be a dream for us Elder Scrolls fans!
I'm sure you will! 😉
I hope the game is an improvement upon Skyrim but I’ll settle for it being as good as a DLC-sized mod😂 Too bad the ideal TES game isn’t realistic to Bethesda’s capabilities.
it's the same shitty engine as skyrim so it'll be as bland without mods
@@Yamifira no it's not, it's been completely upgraded and overhauled. It's the the same thing other big companies do, they keep the same engine, but update it as they move along, for example, the frostbite engine that DICE uses, they have used the same engine since the early 2000s, but yet now the frostbite engine provides some of the best graphics in the market.
All I wish for is that magic becomes strong again
I have to say, I've been for the first time delving deep into TES recently and binging you alls content has been huge, and the love you all have for this series shines through in this video even more than any others. The attention to detail, the ambition tempered by realistic expectations. I feel like you guys (Drew too, even if he's not in this one) understand this game so well, you can articulate why people love TES even better than people can say for themselves. Certainly the case for me. Keep it up guys, can't wait to see ideal High Rock!
Still can’t believe that you guys made a whole-ass main quest story. Just phenomenal.
“As you descend you’re able to see the ocean in the distance, and step back aghast at the horrendous Terrain LOD, and vow to check the Nexus for mods that deal with that”.
This longs to adventure in the warm sands of Elsweyr, but confesses she would find exploration in the sands of Hammerfell, as the Muppets of Fudge describe, an exciting experience. :)
Bruh it took me a whole year to realise that the FudgeMuppet logo is a tribunal mask
_A redguard soldier begins walking over to you, as he noticed you had awoken._
"Hey, you, you're finally awake."
I heard the Nords in Skyrim use steel swords, Steel Swords!
This is such a deep and comprehensive proposal. I've played ES since Daggerfall, and I'd love to play this game.
This video deserves every ad
I would love to see Nazir's voice actor return for TES 6
I would love to see Nazir and the little vampire girl return for ES6s dark brotherhood quest line
You mean Nazim from cloud district
Skillbill1000 perhaps in an effort to preserve the dark brotherhood, babette gives nazir vampirism, allowing them to stay alive through the probable time skip from skyrim to es6 👀
Star Elder Wars set in Tatooine , you fight Dwarven Darth Vader then have to destroy the death star. Lol like it tho
daedric star*
Lolzer Giant Azuras star
Sounds more like a movie more than a game plot, still wonderful!
"*I used to be an adventurer like you, but then, I took sand in the eye*"
We Redguards aren't going down without a fight we have a grand army!
Yokuda forever
Can I just say this video makes me so excited for a new elder scrolls I mean gosh I miss this series
"As vast as an ocean, but deep as a puddle"
One province is just fine, having two means less time for meaningful or fun quests... I don't want the game to be full of mostly fetch quests
*looks at fallout 4 and 76*
@@princesstinklepanties2720 my point still stands, Bethesda has trouble with just one province, let alone 2 or mmo sized. Put some effort into the quest lines and world building instead of relying on players to make their own fun... like ganging up on new players (fallout 76) or completely ignoring the main quests (fallout 4)
Rust Cohle the Witcher three did really well with having a massive map(s) with a lot of story and background to come with it
I hate deserts
I don’t see them improving on that
If bethesda doesn't rip off at least 90% of these ideas, then they have truly lost their way. These ideas are absolutely genius and amazing.
If they do, their legal department won't be too happy.
Thank you for developing a great ttrpg campaign setting for us
Holy shit... could Bethesda just hire you guys already? Great work fellas!
This is a whole ass elder scrolls adventure I feel like i just played through it
