The Gamer stage should be a legal counterpick. It's hype and it's clear that it doesn't significantly screw up a match when good people play.
The cave of life is annoying though.
Antony Di Placido It does have random layouts where there are only fall-through platforms (it removes the cave of life). I don't know if it would be a legal counter-pick, but it's super hype though.
The cave can be annoying, but if you look at other games on different stages they usually take around the same time, ranging from 30 seconds less to 30 seconds more.
But, to each is their own.
***** it might be a bit of a nuisance to replay the stage over and over until you get what it considers a "legal" stage.

J Canon I agree. It would be a nuisance to get the proper layout, but I think there might be enough layouts without solid platforms so that you don't have to re-pick the stage in order to get a "legal" stage.
Anyway, I think we'd only see this stage in a gentlemen's agreement. I hope to see it more.

God damn, people really ignored the beginning of the video. Gamer is not a legal stage. What happened it's that both players agreed on fighting there. This can also happen with other banned stages.

That first match was amazing both players made really great choices. Who picked that stage? I wonder if they picked it for that platform advantage, which wound up keeping Falco alive for much longer than normal with that percentage

I wish the gamer stage was legal. I don't even own this game, but it looks a lot more fun to play on than any of those Animal Crossing stages.
It's fun to see stages other than Battlefield, Smashville or FD. This stage isn't the fairest of stages, but if 2 players are highly skilled, most stages can be at least fun to play on

I like this stage for 1v1 would be better without the mom but then it would lose its flare. Maybe I'll make a custom stage like this without the mom on my friends Wii U. Because I don't have one. But I don't think this stage should be banned like a lot of people are saying. It looks like the mom is some what easy to avoid

This is the best stage ever other than Smashville.

It's only allowed if both players agree to play on it. Same goes for any other not legal stage.

Man i really dislike the way they treated Falco. The only thing they did good was making his recovery better. But making his Dair take longer to hit and Bair worse and removing his chain grab and nerfing his blaster was a bit over kill, oh yeah and DACUS. He's not terrible, but dang if i had to put a list of character that actually require skill then Falco would probably first. Sure some moves are better like his Fair and Bthrow but those nerfs weren't necessary(except chain grab that was kinda cheap)
His back air is worse? What the hell are you smoking dude?! He has one of if not the best back air in the game
Farmer Zak I didn't say it was bad. But they definitely nerfed it. And i doubt it's better than Shulk's, Mario's and Luigi's, I'd say top 5 though. Sure it can kill faster. But it's more laggy and less abusable than before. Also the range feel shorter and the duration of the hit frame is shorter.

Final destination banned because of a "distracting" 1 second transition .. But a stage that has a extremely bad hazard that makes both players pause and disrupt their flow so they don't get damaged is ok to play at? Totally makes sense

Well, reason why Final Destination is banned is because there's less distracting versions of the stage, simple as that-if there was no other FD's, then it wouldn't be banned.

It's not legal, it's called a gentleman, if both of the players agree to a nonlegal stage then try play on it.

Having played melee my whole life, this makes me really sad watching these smash 4 matches. Everyone play way to defensive and there aren't even that many true combos to even get hyped up about. Not trying to hate on the players or the game, just my insight.
I guess it's because I've played melee for so long things like perfect pivoting just don't appeal to me as much as wavedashing and moonwalking do

Because hes not as a bad as others say he is, ive recently picked up falco, and damn did i miss judge this character, keitaro obviosly took the time to become good with him plus he might just like falco in general.

Player's agreements. They both choose it and are okay with.it. Even GCO can be picked upon player agreement.
Plus its nice to spice it up a bit. Even in competitive. I personally tire of seeing FD, Lylat Cruise, Battlefield, and that god awful Smashville all the time. Omega or not.
