I got to be passenger in a stock 2017 zl1 last year. The seats are PERFECT. They’re comfy af and look good, but hug you in a corner. The car I was in was a manual. The raw acceleration of it was just Ludacris because it feels like it pins your shoulders and neck back and doesn’t let go. Yeah the car is super loud but not drony at all and comfy af in the adjustable exhaust menus. However The cornering was what was the most surprising for me. The driver I was with was approaching an empty intersection that looked like a “+” and we had to make a right. He was cooking along at maybe 50, 60 mph, cut the wheel right about 1/2 a turn and the car felt like it was on RAILS. That’s what David means by the wide tires and mechanical grip. You feel it! The sound, the grip, the acceleration, the trunk was actually pretty big too. Its all so refined. This made me so numb to my s550 that I’m still a bit on the edge on getting another one. The s550 in turn feels much more wallowy in the rear end when stock. It bounces up and down too much when just driving, you need a cradle lockout kit to fix that. Then you need those zl1 handling goodies to even get near that. Coil overs or springs, sway bars bushings and linkages, k-member and tires. Then there’s the power-the coyote is a whole different thing than the LT4. I think it needs a whipple or a twin turbo setup to be the ultimate car. I sold my manual 17’ 401a gt premium recently and I’m on the fence of getting a 6th gen 2ss or another 2015+ gt premium but in auto and building it to what I just stated...

I've owned a 09 mustang, a 2011 Camaro SS, a 2015 GT and now a 19 SS - in both my experiences with Camaros I've never had any issue at all with visibility compared to the mustangs. Maybe it's because I'm a shorter person/my seating position, but it's always been very weird to me when people complain about visibility. Sure, the rear window is small, but that's how coupes work. 2019 Camaro ZL1 0-60 time 3.5 seconds. 2019 Corvette Z06 0-60 time 2.95 seconds. They are a little closer in the 1/4 mile. The Corvette weighs about 400 lbs less than the Camaro with the same engine. Hard to see how the Camaro would be faster. I very much doubt that GM is giving the ZL1 a better factory tune than the Corvette Z06 that can overcome such a sizable weight difference.

The 10 speed auto is awesome. I haven’t driven a manual ZL1, but when power levels get up there an auto takes out a lot of guess work and the 10A is great. Also holds up to crazy horsepower as well. I liked the GT350 for the driving experience, but the ZL1 just has an insane straight line experience. And the new camaro? IMHO they ruined it with the 2019 tails, the earlier tails look far better IMHO. Best looking Camaro? Still taking an early GEN 2 for that honor. But it is miles ahead of the Gen5.

In addition to being a superior car in terms of both looks and performance, they are also quite rare to see on the road compared to the Challenger/Charger/Mustang. Today though, people have finally started to figure it out... The ZL1 IS the modern muscle car to own. The zl1 1le is handling monster
The front end looks nice but the rear of the car isn’t so nice looking. It doesn’t match the aggressive looking front end.
With that much horsepower at that price, who really cares?
Oscar maybe someone paying $60k duh lmao
Going from my v6 mustang to a zl1 soon 😏
i honestly like the zl1 but in my opinion i rather get a 5th zl1 cuz it has a mechanical hand brake and not a button. when gm took that away it drew me away from the 6th gen camaro and my preference will always be a 5th gen camaro 2ss or zl1 but 1 day i'll own a camaro so i can grow as a car enthusiast and to grow my channel. at the end of the day i admire all muscle cars and if it does happen i wanna own all 3 muscle cars not to boast about future wealth but to show how a positive mindset, good work ethic and determination can get you to more places imaginable with impossible possibilities and open doors at ur finger tips
i only drove a V6 camaro when i had my permit in 2021 but always wanted to experience the v8 camaro and never had the opportunity to do so but i hope 1 day it'll happen
Love the content now Bring a boss 302 to the channel 💪
One of my favorite car is camero I love this ZL1
@thatdudeinblue have you not seen the revised Camaro font end for 2020? They “fixed” the weirdness
"Big boy car!" LOL....love it, sweet car
I think the rounded taillights don't look as good but the clear does look better
Agreed that it’s a sports car, muscle cars would be the old school ones.
A,C and D pillars are so thick
Literally my dream car
Dream Car right there
You’re wrong on the visibility on every model, just get the convertible - glorious visibility everywhere ;) got one myself, manual too.
Got to see if Dan can get you to review ACW C8
My favorite camaro ever. Glad they stuck with that front cause the new front is hideous.
First gen 67-69 are the best Camaros. Hands down.
Best looking Camaro ever...
I’ve never experienced the zL1 but I know I will soon
Well gm and dodge collaborated and shared the same manual transmissions in there pickup trucks
2014 Comaro ZL1 looks the best
Ford transmissions were used in Pontiacs in the 60s
