The 6th gen SS puts up better lap times than bmw M cars. It's a truly well rounded sports car, no longer a muscle car like it's ancestors

@@bizooty8782 having driven one that’s just false. It has a backfire in between shifts at full throttle with the 10 speed and a little .5 seconds or less of crackle. In no world is it comparable to the absolute abomination of a pop tune that’s on this thing.

@@ljmcgruder6085 A wastegate limits maximum boost; a blow off valve vents chargepipe boost when off throttle
@@ljmcgruder6085 so the difference is a blow off valve vents the intake charge and a waste gate vents the exhaust. Because this is a centrifugal supercharger it only has a blowoff valve. It doesn’t have a wastegate because a supercharger is belt driven. It doesn’t need a wastegate because the exhaust is not apart of the boost making process. Where as a turbo need both because it needs to vent the intake and exhaust.
I’m sure David made a honest mistake. If you see this David keep up the good work. It happens to everybody.
@@351broncoii plenty of centrifugal charger guys run a wastegate so they can run a smaller pulley to spool faster without the peak boost

The challenger feels like that to me, like when you get in and fully seat in the bucket (stock seat) and paired with Dodges famously small windows made me feel like I was in jail and couldn’t see shit!

Because GM is dumb and barely released any new trims or options, and eventually have people review it. GM has never been good with marketing, Ford and Dodge release new versions of their older cars every few years which get reviewed quite often. There’s a reason why GM sold a lot of Camaro’s in 2016/2017 because there was a lot of talk about it
I can't stand Camaros, bright colored cars, or ridiculously huge wings, but for some reason, I'm not mad at this car. It looks like a ton of fun. I'd rock it.

Is it weird I imagined *myself* driving it? I began to *Fall in Love* with the sound of it. The gear shifts looked like they were crisp, and plucky to move around too.

The pro charger looks super fun. Seems like it would be difficult to use on the street though. My bone stock SS 1LE is already way too easy to get to unsafe speeds
Would be really cool to see a head to head comparison with a moderately aggressive cam and bolt ons versus forced induction. Forced induction will definitely make more power, but I’m curious if it’s really any more fun

Trust me, I've tried, they look great, they pull great, they're spacious, but damn are they shit when it comes to handling. A stock SS would run laps over a hellcat on a track even with a competent driver who won't lose the boat on every turn.

A lot of people talk bad about the visibility as if any coupe has good visibility. Bad is the A90 Supra. If that is a 1LE add it to the title. There is a difference between the regular SS and the 1LE (I’ve owned both). ELSD, short shifter, more radiators than a veyron, larger brakes, different traction control settings. One of my biggest regrets is selling my 1LE especially since they went up in price since then lol
Honestly I remember ppl were rioting and upset about the front end of the this facelift but honestly it doesn’t even look bad lol
I got a 2019 2SS recently and I love it. It's even better that people didn't like it cuz now it's a one off year Camaro so for me? It's like a collector's thing. I'm all about being unique so the less people that have the same Camaro I have the better. And it only seems to be a nitpick to the actual Camaro owners. NO ONE I've shown my car too has said anything negative about the front end.
I love the way the new Camaro's look. I see it more like Darth Vaders mask rather then a mustache, so I've honestly never hated the front-end. I just thought it was meh and then once I saw them in person, I was sold. I love my 2020 now, but honestly the 2019 looks cooler IMO. I just don't like the tiny slit for the upper grille since it is separated from the lower portion, but thankfully I got mine in black so you can't notice it near as much as you can on the other colors and it looks more uniform since it is all one color.

It’s a really nice camaro, not for me but I appreciate the work done to it. And I had an EWG on my built STI. Had it for a few months and couldn’t take it so my old ass got rid of it (the EWG). Then got rid of the car and bought a 2017 SS👍. The warranty is up in a month muahahaaa.

I'm kinda starting to regret that I got the V6 over a V8. But that extra insurance cost, gas price, and monthly payment 😕. I guess I'll have to wait 2 more years and then do a trade.
Biturbo and it will be as good as V8 with charger ... Wanna go faster to go for triple turbo ... or even 4 turbos... very good example of how to setup is BMW 50D engine which is straight six 3.0 liter diesel with 4 turbos :) V8 with charger will be blown away ... :)

Gen 6 before the style refresh is best version. 2016-2018. The Camaro welcomed me like a nice cold beer. Idk why ppl bitch about the visability tbh. The car is perfect.
I just bought a 6th gen SS and I've been watching your channel for some time, this is just more confirmation I made the right choice. I got used to the visibility in a couple days but no way in hell would I put that hood on. I'm already almost too tall to fit in it

@@SealTeamThicc Im 6'2 so I'd 100% test drive it before you pull the trigger. You may need to lower the seat all the way. If you plan on tracking it though you will need to find a bucket seat to be able to fit with a helmet on
I would go sit in one and test drive it, it all depends on your torso to leg ratio. I was really wanting a zl1 and went and sat in it and I can honestly say I couldn’t see a thing. Blind spot monitoring package is a must have for anyone over 6’2. I’m 6’9 so I’m used to shoving myself in cars for the sake of being a car enthusiast but the Camaro was by far a tighter fit than most. I ended up going with a wide body challenger for comfort sake and old school feel. If I would’ve fit I would’ve got the maro. Just my two cents, I wish you good luck on the car hunt 🤘🏻
Bought one too a 2022 2SS Rapid blue 10Speed and shit is crispy as hell I love it , got use to the visibility immediately it’s not even bad I feel people over exaggerate that shit so much

I just recently bought a one owner, 2ss, with 6700 miles, I'm the 2nd owner. I couldn't be happier. The circuit board car is awesome. I don't care for the huge cowl hood, but otherwise it's cool!

Always was a Camaro guy but I definitely don't like the claustrophobic feeling of the interior and thoughts of an accident and being stuck inside one was what flashed in my head the very first time I ever sat in one..I dont know how they managed to make it feel so damn cramped despite it actually being kind of a big car..Definitely could go without the tire/fender gap in the front but to each their own..im sure it's a blast to drive.
I gave it almost 4 years and that gen camaro still hasn't grown on me :/
The 6th gens never grew on me either I like the styling of the 5th gens better myself.

They sent wrong rims when I ordered so had to fit wat I could. New rims are now in so tht wheel gap will be no more.

@@daytonraught629 right, you get used to the visibility in a couple days. At first it just feels like as if you had your visors down on a regular car. It only really blocks off part of the sky. The SS is still the best overall sports car between the GT and Scat if you care about more than just top end straight line speed

I have the same exact one (2019 SS 1LE w/same color and everything). Still one of the best decision ever made in my life!! Weights less than a Dodge Challenger/Charger, a manual TR6060 tranny that is much better than a mustang. Especially with the 1Le it handles like a true sport car (not sloppy and super tight steering and chassis.
Btw…the whole “I can’t see out of it” is so overrated by UA-camrs. Yes, is hard to see compared to a “normal” vehicle, but is not like you can’t drive it either and if you can’t honestly you cannot drive. It also gets better overtime. Shoot my Honda S2000 was harder especially having to parallel park that sucker. My 2 cents…

I actually really like the aesthetic of this car, the mods look good. i like those wheeels too, what wheels are those? I sold my baby, my 2017 2SS M6 sold it on a whim just because i got a little more than i paid for it originally i regret it almost every day, my bby was spec'd exactly how i wanted it, every option i wanted, and i'm regretting it so much. I'm saving up and i'm going to get a ZL1-1LE next, but that will take a year or two because i want to try'n put $50k down lol.
So why exactly couldn't Chevrolet simply lower the belt-line of the car a little and give it better visibility without screwing up anything else? If that's the universal complaint by prospective buyers, why doesn't Chevrolet actually do anything about it?

Before buying my 5th Gen SS, I test drove a 6th gen. I like the car but it was really small inside. Much smaller than the 5th gen. As for visibility, it’s on par with every other generation of camaro, and I’ve owned all of them.

My Camaro 2ss 1le is procharger p1sc stage 2. And yes the bypass valve is soo loud on the race ones. Makes it sound like it’s really windy out
