The PAIN in everyone’s voices as they grit their teeth and try just power through this mess is hilarious. Made funnier by the fact that at any moment; tomato could just explode with frustration and bring the whole charade crumbling down.

I was at least expecting the game to be 'okay' on launch, before they ruin it with feature creep DLCs, but apparently they couldn't even do that...

Damn, they pretty much just “RTX Enabled” the whole game, while simultaneously making it damn near unplayable with bugs.
The grease mage came by and covered all of the game's textures with grease to give it that signature shine!
The fact you could get any highlights out of this mess of a stream is amazing. I felt so bad watching them all try to "play" this mess of a game and try to not be openly frustrated for Sam's sake

I think i've never seen a "sponsor" game that hasn't immediately turned me off of said game. It's almost like exorbitant marketing efforts could have been better spent making the product *actually-good.*

Nice to see Payday still struggling with dozens of issues! Tried playing both Payday 1 & 2 on console with family/friends and the server issues straight up rendered those games unplayable on console with other people.. I see this being the exact same thing. Such a shame as I love the concept of Payday!
Quick edit: just to point out, Payday 2 servers are still broken on console and will never be fixed. Do not pick these games up on console!

Payday 1 is kinda DEAD in console, and PD2 stopped giving support to console like in years so the best way to experience both games is in PC

I always thought the Payday team were cheap PoS that overcharged DLC for their games. A buggy, barely functional game after all these years and milking their fan base isn't a surprise. Hope it blows up in their scummy faces.

@@kirbyis4ever This really is one of those sequels that just make people wanna go back to the previous game. Very disappointing, I’d say wait a couple years and it may get good but overkill has been one bad month from going under for a couple years now so that seems unlikely.
@@theoverseer4886 Payday 2 is a kickass game that stands on its own but more importantly it's actually playable. It is a travesty and a disappointment that there are literal game breaking bugs in Payday 3 keeping people from connecting or even crashing the server. Everyone will notice if you can't play the game but you can sweat the small stuff.
I mean they almost went bankrupt xD
At least they fixed most of the problems so that the official launch goes fine.

@@Rosy-uz5ld Yeah, I can see your point if you just ignore that you can't play a multiplayer focused game 75% of the time because the servers are fucked. With the added "experience" of all the mechanics from payday 2 being watered down on 8 short heist maps designed for people with no attention span.
Payday 2 had its problem on launch, but it still worked most of the time, its mechanics held up for years due to their complexity and gameplay options, and it had 11 maps varying in size and complexity on launch (15 after just 4 months).
Did you even watch the video? Tomato says pretty much all this and the only reason the others held their tongues as much as they did was because one of them was being sponsored to play the game. I just don't understand people who simp for bad games.
@@chasewilson3693 Servers things is fair, but it IS an early access game so i'm hoping no problems like this are gonna be on full release.
Also the mechanics of 2 are literally improved; shotguns are actually shotgun, every weapons now has unique utilities, skils and perks have been changed to keep the tone of the game wich is more serious but not forgetting the arcade stuff, etc.
Also PD2 mechanics changed all the time dude, the police assault system is BROKEN and it lacks a lot of the things the game had in release, silencers got changed, weapons spread, enemies balance, etc. Most of the original mechanics of the second game CHANGED a lot because PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT.
Also don't talk me about maps, hector maps were all pretty basic, bank heist was the same heist with different loot, vlad had one of the worst stealth missions and only the elephant had good maps, also the dlc that added new maps WERE JUST ONE NEW MAP AND 4 SAME STUFF MAPS.
Payday 3 maps are trying to do what PDTH and recents PD2 heists did the best; better objectives, more interesting loot, making the players interact more in the game, making stealth more FUN and not a "waiting game."
@@Rosy-uz5ld again, did you watch the video? Because Tomato says multiple times that this is NOT early access, IT IS the full release they got to play early. There will be very few changes when it "full releases" tomorrow.
PD3's mechanics are watered down to high heaven. PD2's mechanics started strong and got better as updates came in adding more complexity and making more playstyles viable. PD3's mechanics are simplified, boring and entirely unoriginal. Your just playing a watered down version of PD2 and I don't know how that is a good thing.
Your also just coping hard about the maps. So because Payday 2 had some samey maps (your wrong as there was a rather large variety, but I will concede the point just to let it be known that even if you were right your still wrong) its okay for PD3 to have 8 samey short maps on release? Come on, you can't honestly say getting way less variety and maps than the prior game is somehow better....right?
Everything else seems to just be you doing mental gymnastics to defend this game and I frankly don't have the energy or time to bother with that nonsense.
Your also defending a game for I can't imagine what reason that is going to have a microtransaction cash shop.

If you saying the watered down the mechanics and stuff you are just so ignorant about how this game is trying to go for a different playstyle and focus, like what they tried to do in PDTH.
Also i'm talking about release payday 2 2013, where the maps most of them were REALLY bad compared to the impressive and more strategic ones PDTH had in the moment, PD2 after U27 tried to de better maps and much better experiencies, but it's kinda lame to compare since that game had many more years than anticipated.
PD3 mapas are more centered and focus to what PD2 originally had, that's what i'm saying and WE ARE going to receive new maps eventually. As the same the stupid and arcade stuff PD2 have this day.
I'm defending the good points of this game and how it improves the second game; microtransactions, always-online and that kind of stuff ARE BAD nobody denies that.
Even though i was there during the intro and first hour of the stream after that, didn't even realize he was playing some Lobotomy Corp. OST for the first few minutes of the intro

my only experience with payday is through tomato's streams, that said, i don't see the problem with joy? at all? i feel like people are more mad that she's a woman and *that* is what makes her annoying to them, no one ever gives info just "she's so annoying omegalul" and that's not the least bit constructive. this was bothering me live on stream, and it bothers me here now.

Their gimmick was incredibly outdated and cringeworthy, the backstory was just "H A C K E R P E R S O N", even their mask was just trash ripped right out of Watchdogs
Also you might have that mixed up with just Joy and Clover. Sydney and Bonnie weren't that annoying voiceline wise. I have no idea if the new character they added is fine, but those two were unironically awful to have in the game, especially when playing with pubs
(Also bonus points for jacket's voice over being good and one of my favourites)
