The original and the remake songs are both good
Finally, the perfect demons souls fan
However, the original flamelurker is much better IMO. He feels generic in the remake.
@@vergil1155 The original one sounds like something a derpy parody would use .

No, remake is better
Just by the music I can tell that this guy is going to kick my ass many times.
Invest in minor magic and get water veil!!
That’s Flamelurker for you. Either you beat him or you quit the game.
He's not too bad if you dodge to the side to avoid his explosive attacks. Also try not to block anything. He drains a huge amount of stamina.

With this music, I don't know if I am fighting Laurence or Flamelurker or even Watchdog Of The Old Lords.... but damn this music is so good!
I wonder what each of them have in common
@@Bloodwing-zx9ri It's so obvious. They all have the letter L in their names.
@@amannamedsquid313 Yes
I like to think watch dog of the old lords was actually flameluker’s pet because in bloodborne it’s 18th century and demon souls about 15th century and the watchdog was a small puppy but he grew up and became a pain in the ass especially in defiled chalice
Or Old iron king
Every Flamelurker is gangsta until soul arrow appears

That part makes me rock solid every fucking time. So so so good
For anyone struggling on the flamelurker, he is weak to magic. I also suggest using the crescent falchion, it does bleed damage and magic damage in it as well.

And old players too. This theme hypes me up so much that I can almost forget my PTSD of Flamelurker killing me 100 times while he is like one hit away XD
Just beat him last night. Honestly didn’t have many problems defeating him, I believe it took me three attempts. But damn, apart of me wishes I died more just so I could keep going back and hearing this incredible track.
Damn straight
Felt incredibly disappointed by this version.
@@theatheistbear3117 this fits much better than the original one
This theme actually sounds like what I'd expect from an exploding hulk demon. I liked the original but this just fits better IMO.
Meh... I disagree.
The original track is intimidating but eerie and quiet to emphasize that it is a serious situation and you are facing a dangerous being.
This is just... "epic" generic big monster music :/
@@garurumon1203 lol if anything that music is like that because FROM was on a budget. They didn’t have the luxury of a live orchestra. Just look at their later games like bloodborne where they use live orchestra and everyone praised the ost. And that game has the best atmosphere of any of their games
Gonna have to disagree, this sounds too "epic" and belongs more in Dark Souls. Demon's Souls was a lot quieter and fit the entire tone of the game better.
@@garurumon1203 its a demon born from a guy that punched dragons to death why in the ever loving fuck should it be a quiet funeral march
@@ReaperspearX Dark Souls and Demon Souls are the same fucking game thematically. Almost all the "souls" games sound like this, the only reason demon souls didnt is because they were on a budget and time crunch.
Some of the new tracks have a heavy Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 vibe.....I love it
It's like someone remixed a DS and BB soundtrack together
It's fucking brilliant

One of the songs which i think the Remake really improved on.
Hard disagreement there.
@@theatheistbear3117 obvious troll is obvious.
@@DeadGuyInTheGround I’m not trolling. The original theme just fitted more.
@@theatheistbear3117 idk man the original was dull as hell, and just looped every thirty seconds. This version at least matches the intensity of the boss fight, unless you're using magic.
@@DeadGuyInTheGround I don’t understand how it’s dull. The looping isn’t an issue, because it’s well composed. Looping was used throughout history, and nobody is complaining about it.
The intensity of the fight doesn’t match the Remake’s version. Flamelurker’s not a Bloodborne boss.
I've finally listened to both versions of Flamelurker and I have to say, I'm on the side of I like the remake's version more then the original. I've played and platinumed both the PS3 and PS5 versions and just like most of the remade boss osts
2:30 should be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer.
I played the original version of DeS in preparation for the Remake, and Flamelurker was my first hurdle. It took me 13 tries to beat him on the original, and now here in the remake, it only took me 5. He's such a fun boss, I absolutely love it.
I've played this game so many times that this music is making me salivate just thinking about playing the remake. And they removed those rib columns that made it easy to cheese him.
Am I the only one who's kind of pretending I'm a Maestro conducting this music? Sorry if I weird anyone out.
Honestly, this is anybody when they are hearing epic music.
the old and the remake are both good i dont understand the hate towards the remake's osts in general
( btw the original composer of the original game listened to the remakes and he absolutely loved them )
Flamelurker looked cool before, but the remake, and this song, make it truly seem like you're up against the Devil
Incredible piece.
So hyped for this game!
I'm trash at anythint dark souls, but I have to say, I love these games as a work of art, with all of their amazing lore and worldbuilding and of course, the breathtaking music. I swear, just getting into these games changed my life.
Oh, I know what track I'm listening to when I go to the gym today.
And we're going to die again.
I’ll lose intentionally to this boss just to hear the music again
Yeah, you will lose "intentionally"
Me vs slave knight Gael
You don’t need to intentionally do it, flamelurker will make sure you hear it again…
I actually beat him on my first try solo. I went back and helped others as a summon immediately afterwards
And I’m a melee fighter. I have the fight on my channel
My view is that now we are fighting Flamelurker again, it's less of a fight for our lives and now an epic showdown between two powerful creatures: one, a human warrior and the other a flaming demon
Favourite OST and boss of the game. Just so good
I didn't even get to hear this, Flamelurker was always punching me
8/10 bossfight, very good and fun
Phenomenal remake
I closed my PS5 after beating this boss because I needed to hear the theme song again.
Oh i love this type of music. Its tragic but epic too
The original wasn't supposed to be epic. It was dark and depressing like facing a huge obstacle that you will think you might not make it. That's what flamelurker was about. He is the hardest boss in demons souls (unless your a magic user) so the original was so much better. This one is awesome but it's very dark souls 3ish. The original soundtrack helps demons souls stand out more.
@@jasondean2511 nah, I see it this way. For first time demon souls players the theme of the OG symbolizes despair and tragedy because of how hard the boss is. For demon souls vets who are playing the remake the flamelurker will be like an old friend who you missed and this time you know his move set and your familiar with him. So the theme is epic here.
@@kyzersoze8408 fair point but the original is still stands out.
@@jasondean2511 i do think the new one fits the agressive nature of the flamelurker more tho
@@jasondean2511 Lol the original theme was boring as hell. You can put babies to sleep with that theme. 😂
people always go on about how this game is inferior to the original, so many "Soul vs Soulless" arguments
but it's still a really good game. it might not be the best remake, but i never played the OG, and I still had a hell of a blast with this
A DeS with this game’s graphics and the original’s everything else would be perfect
@@thestrongestlivingcreatureI mean please what about you can sent item to storage even you overencumbered that they added in remake (not to mention you can sent to storage from inventory as well) in the original you have to left item alone and will disappear once you touch it
Holy shit man this made me ball me eyes out
Freaking amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Not sure how to feel about the complete tonal shift (from brooding and somber to Soulsborne-epic-choir)that they gave Flamelurker in the remake, but if nothing else, said tonal shift is executed flawlessly.
I always get hype asf when 2:33 rolls around and they bring back that lil snippet of the old theme that always got stuck in my head
Best OST so far 😎
Best theme in the whole game. It really feels epic when you enter the boss room, and it makes the whole fight so awesome!

Oh my God, indeed.

Cheesing the boss with poison mist for 20 mins to this music was epic
Hardest/coolest boss in the game. The only one I felt was on the same level of difficulty as other soulsborne bosses.
I salivate just with the though of someday manage to put my hands on a PS5, run to my house setup the damn thing, wait sometime to finish the install of Demons Souls and get lost in the world of Boletaria for countless months... again.
Formidable ! Merci beaucoup, j'attendais que ça !! 😍
+1 sub
I love that I can hear the Lady Maria and Twin Princes inspiration in this
I really feel like most of the new themes fit the respective bosses better with a couple exceptions, one of them being Astraea's theme. It does feel more fitting if you see it as Garl's theme rather than Astraea's since that's who you're fighting
I liked original flamelurker but thought it weird it sounded like a funeral while a giant hulking flamelurker was aggressively trying to beat your ass, while the remake feels better fitting for him quick tempo fast paced and matches his aggression
@@jacobsnyder7771 Not really. It’s supposed to sound like a dirge, because it’s one. Yours specifically.

@@hungryduck8043 Nice. It's definitely a playstyle thing. Not sure about you, but I tend to be very quick and aggressive instead of defensive when I play so maybe that helped me get through the fight more easily than others.
Holy shit and he wasn't even the (official) final boss of the area. What a fucking theme.
I love both the OG soundtrack and the new one sounds great on its own right. I just wished we were given an option to play the original OST over bosses and the new OST over bosses. So that everyone could be pleased.
I just killed flamelurker and the song was so damn good, I dunno if I was supposed to kill him where I’m at but I’m a strength build at level 20 with a plus 3 battle axe. I don’t know where I’m supposed to be but I wondered into this man’s arena and my god that fight was so hard. I’m loving DeS right now

This whole game's soundtrack goes so hard, idc what those trolling clods have to say. It's just a shame I more often than not can't even hear it cuz of all the insane exagerrated sound effects... but hey, the sounds are cool too!
While don’t get me wrong I love the OG ost, flamelurkers score on the ps3 was suited for putting me to sleep but the battle itself was 👹
So yeah the remake OST for him is well more suited
No it's not. The original was depressing like fighting an obstacle that you might not make it. This one is very dark souls 3ish. It's awesome but the original soundtrack helps demons souls stand out from the series.
@@jasondean2511 no, the original is boring and make me sleep
@@tragictwo1029 I mean, I guess what you mean, but I do disagree. The original ost kinda gave off that vibe that the power of a demon soul is anything except greatness.
This ost however, compliments the raw power of the Flamelurker, a monk filled with an unquenchable rage.
I like 'em both, but I just put that out there just cause why not.
@@jasondean2511 It's a desperate, disheartening, all-the-way-uphill fight where you might get your ass handed to you half a dozen times before you finally overcome, for sure. But that's not the same thing as a somber march to the hanging scaffold with nothing you can do about it.
The new track version understands this.
The fact that some people hate this version of his theme is confusing as fuck, like I understand that opinions exist but some of these people are literally calling it shit just because it doesn't sound like basic bitch stuff anymore
for real i don't understand how people don't get hyped listening to this?? just because they played demon's souls a whole decade ago they think they need to go "myeh myeh this isn't REAL demon's souls >:( ur not even true gamers >:(( listening to this means you're not allowed to play any other fromsoft games EVER"

Don’t worry I lost to armor spider 3-4 times and died to Dragon God at least 5-6 times.
Whao! This is just too epic!!
Ah yes, the boss that makes you realize you're in the game for the long haul.
Just hearing this i just know this boss is going to be a difficult boss that will take me hours to beat.
I love the tragic vibe of this. Fits the lore of this bastard.
I am so pleased at these soundtracks that are really giving the bass its due. I've hated Squeenix for their tinny remixes of tracks that minimize the bass sound.
It's definitely more suitable as a boss theme, but I honestly kind of prefer the original. The contrast between the weirdly melancholy, repetitive instrumentals and high difficulty of the boss created a pretty unique atmosphere that's sort of lost with this. Visually I kind of feel the same way, the original Flamelurker was the brightest and most eye catching thing in an otherwise burnt out, dark, and ashen room, whereas new Flamelurker meshes better with the environment thematically but this also kind of homogonizes everything into a fairly standard fantasy look of a fire demon. I dunno, I just feel like they wanted to give the Flamelurker and identity in the OG DeS and the only thing that really survived was the difficulty (which I can't even attest to, as I don't own a PS5)
I would agree on this. It's also kind of an early game boss for most, and this theme is some final villain shit. That being said, the music is fenominal, and I believe it creates an entirely new kind of Flamelurker experience that sure doesn't disappoint.
This boss will literally chase you to the ends of the earth to throw nuclear fire fist explosions
Boi everytime I listening to this song I'm getting Goosebumps
This is late but for those who are arguing about which ost is better, these two versions of the game as a whole have very different tones intended or not. Bluepoint's remake is more cinematic because that is Bluepoints style, while the Fromsoft original is more dark as that is their style back in that day. King of the Storm and Dragon God are more subtle in the tones, while Tower Knight and Flamelurker shows the strengths and weaknesses of both each version. At the end of the day it's like wondering if milk chocolate is better than dark chocolate, the same thing but with big enough changes to change the flavor.
I personally prefer the more cinematic take from Bluepoint, but I can understand why people like the original's darker tone
Tragicamente épico... que som maravilhoso!
