This music made me feel like I was dancing with the lion. It honestly help me figure out the moveset.
apparently his Phase 2 music is actually three movements, and each movement direcly corresponds to one type of element which I think is neat
True. It helps where the fckin camera falling.
I went into the DLC for the first time using my NG+ build since I didn't want to grind out a new one, so I may have been a bit overleveled but me and Freyja first-tried him. While it didn't feel difficult, it didn't feel easy either: the music, the moveset, everything just clicked together like, as you say, it felt like I was dancing with the beast.
This boss is quite easy because we Asian have to deal with it every year.

There is not a single bad track from the entire dlc. Even the ambient music is beautiful.

This is the most sekiro kind of soundtrack in the DLC

Not only soundtrack, the whole fight feels more Sekiro honestly. As the whole moveset is a dance in itself, I could see myself (and a lot of people seem to have a similar feeling) having a better time dealing with it's rhytmical aspects rather than the visual clues
@@cristianclemente2030 Yeah, a lot of people said this boss was BS, but I think it's more like the Dancer of the Boreal Valley in that you kinda have to treat it like a dance. I mean, it's in the name...

The waltz parts are my favorite bits.
It's super recurring in fromsoft music, first time I heard it was Ludwig's theme from Bloodborne but actually it's kinda everywhere

@@Palpatochewaltzes are ballroom-style dances with a distinct rhythm; I’d advise looking up some beautiful waltz pieces. Particularly from Johann Strauss!

This boss scared me because of how fast and nimble it was
The big and fast bosses in Elden ring are usually the most horrifying
I keep hearing the “kak, kak” sound when they bite the jaws even when I sleep.
The fact that it's basically two dudes playing Chinese dragon who can also basically fly makes the movement patterns so hard to understand, let alone respond to properly
@viggiestrikes I think this is actually one of the easier bosses to read! Messmer and Rellana is where i struggled because a lot of their combos open very similarly but expect very different responses, while also being super punishing.
This boss is more knowing *when* to dodge and less *how* to dodge

The violin makes me feel like I’m dancing gracefully. The vocals especially at 4:42 makes me feel like I’m being lifted up with the wind.

Really random but the Farcry 5 reinterpretation soundtrack almost turned me Christian that’ll always be my number one
I think you need to expand your scope a little more in that case..
Ludwig’s waltz from bloodborne is definitely comparable but I think this one just became my favorite

It's the opposite for me lol. Sometimes I get so caught up in the music it distracts me and I die
I think at some point fighting him i was kind of frustrated but when he entered one of his phases and the music picked up that I got goosebumps, eventually was getting the patten down that it felt like I was dancing

@twobeat310 I think it's mainly a Chinese thing but since the Asian cultures have all interwoven at some point in time. This was probably exported to Japan and some people saw it and used it.

I think you can pretty much see lion dancing for Chinese new year everywhere especially in Asia. I'm from Thailand and we also having lion dance in Chinese new year.

It seems like that there are also "Dancing Dragons" in China that were longer than lions, using like 4-6 people to play. Glad that the Dragon does not make its way to the DLC.

@@nozerc DoH only has like a 30 second part that’s pretty cool. Genichiro’s track is so forgettable that I can’t even remember it. Owl father definitely has the best boss theme in the game, though I still think the dancing lion’s is better
