Okay the elephant in the room… my original bed 🙃 it was designed from the beginning to be able to lay a piece of plywood between the two cabinets and make it bigger. I rarely used it that way because when I did underneath got full of stuff. Somehow I managed to miss talking about it in the video, like I said I was cold, brain slow but you aren’t seeing things if you noticed that. Okay have a great day and please share this video with someone you think might enjoy it or benefit from it. Maybe you know someone who wants to start this journey and is caught up in the idea things need to be perfect from the start 🙏🏼
Amanda and Frank...I really enjoy your work/play/lifestyle.. thanks so much for your time... Koa and I just bought a new forever sticker from you and please enjoy Mr. Frank till the enviable .. I really wish that I could express my true love for the both of you... I have lived a very similar lifestyle for the past 11 years... my Doberman Bokote has passed, but I have high hopes and expectations for my Queensland heeler/terrier mix... awesome rescue...please don't wait as long as I have to carry on..I believe that I have watched every one of your videos and your content is fenomanal... please put my small donation towards your favorite boy..much love, Darryl
Your van is amazing!! I LOVED my old GMC Vandura, occasionally now when driving my big step van I see Vanduras on the road and feel a pang of missing in my heart! Truck

Wow! Congrats on 6 years Amanda! You, Frank & Truck have created so many memories and grown & evolved so much. Gratitude for sharing some snippets along the way and I hope folks go watch earlier videos if they're new here!
Thank you Amanda for taking us down memory lane to learn Truck’s journey. Honestly, living in a stick built house there’s often replacement, repair, and refurbish, too. Truck is your moving castle to shelter you and Frank.
I love the unique design of your van. The cookie cutter Instagram van's all look the same. Love truck, love Frank and love your adventures! Keep them coming.
It was fun to see those photos of the old days. I really appreciate hearing your thoughts on sinks, showers, inside kitchens and the logic that drives your decisions. I'm so happy that your new build is serving you so well. Here's to Frank's health, your health, and getting the heat going again!
You should be proud of all you have done. Even the mistakes teach you how to go forward. It is always fun to see you and Frank and the older pictures were great.
I have admired Truck for awhile so, this is really a very interesting video to me. Having been a GM mechanic for a number of years I recognize that you have one of the last years of this body style that is possible for the owner to make basic repairs on. Oh and Sweet Frank snoring in the background is adorable. All the best to you and Sweet Frank
Thank you 🙏🏼 ya Truck is a 94 and this body style ran until 96 although in 96 the engine was a little different and then in 97 BOOM so many modernized changes. I’ve been very happy with my year of choice and look forward to doing a much needed tune up soon.
Remember when you and your puppy were parked at your dad's house for a while and you had to replace the engine this old van has been around the block and is still serving you good much love and Good vibes to you and Frank
Great video! I love your home, the colors, your desk, back doors, the walls, well, just all of it! Positive vibes to you and Frank. Peace be yours, Valerie 💜🐾💚
I know what you mean about the negative vibes of upgrading in size. I just sold my SUV (which I loved) and bought a minivan. Once I've set it up (will be simply non build build) and go on a trip I know I will be happier.
...you have the yoga glow going on. You are the first you tuber I saw who actually lives Out of the van. With a functional, simple build. Even with your wonderful upgrades. It really is a genius design and simple way to live. You really did a thorough summary of the story of Truck. You love that van.
Aloha, I love the fact that you still like to camp. I retired 6 years ago and my wife bought me a 2007, 23ft RV. Although it has many bells and whistles, I enjoy being outside to cook and bathe. Water systems always worry me. Plus there's something about being naked in nature. Mahalo for sharing. Safe travels.
You've done an amazing job making Truck into a home and it's been great to follow your journey. I did enough maintenance on our first car to learn that I really don't like doing car maintenance so I really admire your willingness to get stuck in and work everything out yourself. Congratulations on 6 years!
Love your video, Frank and the story of Truck! You make things work for you both. Truck is cozy, homey and vibrant in colour! Love it! And I love how you keep things real! ❤️ 🐕🦺
Thanks for sharing Trucks transformation/gaining more and more personality/colorful and the best was hearing Frank snoring in background while you were talking😂❤. I been watching transformations and I agree with you on the sink…any ole pot or bowl will work😊
That was very entertaining and interesting! Maybe getting a rescuedog when things collide, already living In a van 😊 Frank is such an adorable being, All the best for both of you!
I've been living in my van for about 4 years now. You're a tough girl, I'm a man and I need heat. I couldn't live without heat in my van. Now I plan on buying a 16 foot cube van in about two years and insulate it super well, because I plan on going back to live in Montreal. The weather there is very cold in winter and extremely humid in summer. I will have a diesel heater and air conditioning also. With 1200 watts of solar panels and my lithium batteries I should be very comfortable.
We've loved following you and Frankaliscious on your journey...through good and not so good, snow, sun, rain. Your videography is amazing!! Watching you on your adventures, esp. this year with the paddleboarding, has been such fun. We truly enjoy your channel. Cheers Amanda ....hugs and cuddles to Frankaliscious 👏👏❤️❤️
I am going to have a solar setup but, I like you, am going to keep everything else simple. Definitely no plumbing... that's asking for trouble 😵💫. Hi Frank!
Six years! Congratulations! Camping all the time is my retirment dream...but heat is good! Hope it will not be absent from Truck for long. My regards to Frank. ❤
Truck is a work of art! I totally get it about the sink. I like mine but we are all different. It bugs me when people ask, “what van should I get (design)?” as only you will know what makes you happy. Cheers!
I think your van is amazing. You have done such a great job. The new stuff out there is so expensive. It is crazy that people have spent over $100K on a van. Those with showers and kitchens leave only a tiny hallway. Truck is a mazing, you are amazing and Frank ....well he is da bomb!
You did a very good and concise reflection of the minivan you owned and the evolution of Truck. Because you are very capable of sharing information in a clear and informative way, I'd say that you'd make a great teacher at the college/university level. Have you ever thought of this?
So happy you are giving us a formal tour of the van with all the recent changes! As-ever, really interesting... all you've done, and are doing. You are a fascinating human! Hugs to you and Frank! x
Thank you for sharing your story about Truck and your life in the van. It's amazing how we become attached to things like Truck. Ready for your next video continuing the story and a tour of the remodeled inside.
Love it. Appreciate your brilliant simplicity. Brilliant at its simplicity. I like your interior design, minimalistic but robust. Like the sliding doors 🚪. You even managed to do well, without a sink or stationary stove. It all tells me something about your personality, Amanda. Like People that live with imperfections. Your mind is probably dealing with higher things. Your world is greater than the immediate physical around you. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations honey. You have been to most of the areas of western US that this grandma has dreamed about my whole life. I pray for your Franks health & for your strength to deal with it. May God bless 🙏✌🌎💞
Your such a sweetie, your truck has been through a lot, but it’s where you want it, it’s a lovely truck, the colour is awesome, as it hides better in the forest areas where you go, it’s quite a Character, you have worked hard on it, so it will be there for you. Any news on Frank? Thank you for the video. Be safe both of you. 🤟🏼✌️💕💐❤️🌹🌷🌺🚐⛺️🛶🦮
I really enjoyed this video thank you for taking us along I think you did a wonderful job making it. Have you ever thought about a wood stove a small one? You can even get it off of Amazon for $100. You can always gather free lumber. I use a kerosene heater and a wood stove. I love my kerosene heater it burns for 20 hours straight on low that means I get to sleep in! I live in a converted School bus me and my husband built. Also because your van is a small space you could probably get away with a terracotta clay pot two small bricks and a candle which would probably heat up your van quite well since you insulated it so good. Another thing is we got the BLUETTI I ONLY GOT 600 WATTS BUT THEY COME MUCH HIGHER AND YOU COULD RUN APPLIANCES ON IT. So far it's been really good you can charge it through solar through DC power or AC power and it charges extremely quick it goes from 50% to 100 in less than 30 minutes. I'm sure you know all this but I just thought I'd throw it out there. Till next time take care.
Nice job making truck your own home. And adapting it as your needs change. I had a 1968 Chevy van conversion for my second home on wheels. Follow your bliss.
I loved this! So very interesting. Truck looks so cozy and colorful. You have done a great job. Thanks for sharing, and a big thanks for our stickers of Frank that showed up today. Our dog enjoyed sniffing Frank's pawprint! Hope you get heat very soon.
You have come so far. You can be proud of yourself. I know I am proud of you. I think that the best thing you did mechanically was to replace the engine. I have seen that you haven't had any major issues since you did. That's always good to have a sound vehicle that you can trust. Frank is looking good. Enjoy yourself. Thanks for sharing.
You made a smart investment! Being able to work on your own engine these days is invaluable! I love my fancy car but I am at the mercy of the mechanics when something goes wrong!! Love your videos ❤️
ALL MY DOORS AND SEALS WERE SHOT..RUST BUCKET 101..USED AUTO MARINE WEATHER SEAL..REFLECTICS AND ALUMINUM TAPE..AND LIQUID NAIL AND WHITE LOC TITE CONST ADHESIVE THE ZERO SEC GRAB TIME WHICH IS THE BEST FOR VAN BUILD STUFF..YOUR ALOT LIKE MYSELF BUT FEMALE..VERY KOOL. YOU ROCK..I HAVE NO POWER OR SOLAR..
I’m really glad you had that time to share the building with your talented Granda Pa! Mine died when I was 9. On my Dads side a bit later but I was not close with him.
Your story inspired me as all your videos do. Next summer I think I will have enough money to get a camper van and slowly start van life. Got 2 senior cats so I’m not sure how they will do and I hate living in Apartments and city’s. Thanks for all the great videos . ❤️🐾 lots of love for Frank!!! Hope his health stays good.
Bravo, Amanda! Such a creative and spontaneous journey with many useful skills acquired. I enjoyed very much seeing the photos of previous vans/builds of Truck and placing your recent reno in Truck's history with you and Frank. Many blessings and bright, cozy, warm days to you, Frank, and Truck!
Love your videos Amanda and Frank and all the hard work you put into your van always wish you the best have a wonderful year and take care like your adventures from an old guy in Minnesota give you air hugs for luck 😇🤗🌞☕🥧
That’s a great story! Nice to see you changing and involving on your journey. I’ve definitely learned to embrace a simpler life over the years and it’s refreshing to see you out there living your dreams and engaging in the world around you 💕 Cheers to you and sweet Frank!
Amamada, great story about “truck”, you and frank living the nomad lifestyle. So you do have a good eye for design and detail, but you are modest enough to be humble about your work. My heart thanks you for the opportunity to learn from you and to appreciate the hard work you’ve put in your life in a truck. Congratulations!🎉
I admire your journey and the effort you and your family have put forth to make your dream possible. Perhaps in the future you might consider giving your mattress an upgrade to help with your EDS and scoliosis. Be well. Safe travels 🌙
Hey Amanda, that was an awesome video to see the shell of your van truck and the build that you did was amazing and now the new build with your bed the opposite way in your new renovations it is awesome you and Frank are amazing. You guys always make my day. Thanks for sharing you guys. Stay warm and be safe.🇺🇸♥️👍🙂🏔️🐾🚐🇨🇦
Thanks for this great video! For years I thought about living this lifestyle myself but instead of a van I wanted to hitch a mini camper with my small crossover suv (you know, having a shower and a toilet really helps🙂). Now that I'm older and single again it seems like that dream won't be possible for several reasons (first, financially I cannot afford it and, second, I am geographically "stuck" in a place that doesn't allow me that lifestyle). Besides, to be honest, it's hard to find a woman willing to share this kind of life so in reality the older I get lessens the chances of my dream coming true. That's why all you out there doing it have my utmost respect.
Great story on your van build journey. I agree about the sink, running water, etc. and kitchen/cooking in van, as you do. I also like the bed running north south on the drivers side, instead of in the back, as you can lay or sit and look out of side door opening and windows. Very nice build and a beautiful van! Good job!
Okay the elephant in the room… my original bed 🙃 it was designed from the beginning to be able to lay a piece of plywood between the two cabinets and make it bigger. No heat oh oh. Stay warms
Much love 💜🐾
It's so wild to see Truck with white paint! And look, such a young Mr Frank!!! 💜💚
Great video! I love your home, the colors, your desk, back doors, the walls, well, just all of it! Positive vibes to you and Frank. Peace be yours, Valerie 💜🐾💚
Thank you 🙏🏼 💜
Amanda, thanks for telling this beautiful story. I wish you many years together with Frank in your beautiful van!
I love your Van. Newer is not better. The older vehicles were built so much better. I love your build.

Happy anniversary from Scotland
Is Frank snoring at about 9 mins so sweet
Happy that you have an Aussie companion Frank ..for company and a mental health friend to communicate with..

Awe Frank on the bed photo of the quick recap reno- too stinkin adorable
Saw you recently in the comments of backcountry adventures, Brian. Dogs and trucks in common. This is a well edited video.
Love the Frankster. I enjoyed your recap of Truck. It filled in a lot of "blanks" in your early adventures. Get some dang heat !!!!!!
Congratulations on your 6th year living out of your van!🎉
You are such a champion!…love the history of truck!… thanks

Hi Frank!
Six years! Congratulations! Camping all the time is my retirment dream...but heat is good! Hope it will not be absent from Truck for long. My regards to Frank. ❤
Oh no I hope you get your heat back. I know how much Frank loves it. Also I got my sticker and Frank's precious paw....looovvveee both so much
Inspirational ❤ thank you😊
Truck is a work of art! I totally get it about the sink. I like mine but we are all different. It bugs me when people ask, “what van should I get (design)?” as only you will know what makes you happy. Cheers!
Really inspiring seeing the transformation of an older vehicle into a lovely home which I must say is my favourite home on wheels on UA-cam.
I think your van is amazing. You have done such a great job. The new stuff out there is so expensive. It is crazy that people have spent over $100K on a van. Those with showers and kitchens leave only a tiny hallway. Truck is a mazing, you are amazing and Frank ....well he is da bomb!
I found you through this van ..it’s popped up because I have the same van ,but I stayed because of the videos not the van
Wow, this Truck has transformed so much. You’ve done such a good job with each stage of it. I enjoyed seeing this video.
At the end of the video when you showed Frank I could have sworn he winked at me 😛
Frank's looks content
I love the simplicity of your build, even the early extreme simplicity!
You did a very good and concise reflection of the minivan you owned and the evolution of Truck. Because you are very capable of sharing information in a clear and informative way, I'd say that you'd make a great teacher at the college/university level. Have you ever thought of this?
Always a pleasure to watch 😉
So happy you are giving us a formal tour of the van with all the recent changes! As-ever, really interesting... all you've done, and are doing. You are a fascinating human! Hugs to you and Frank! x
Another cute clip of Frank. How is he doing. Love watching your program. Keep on trucking
Amanda I just love you and your channel. You have inspired me to start vanlife and gave me so many ideas.❤❤❤❤just started my channel. 😊
Awesome, I hope you get a few more ideas from this video.
Congratulations honey. You have been to most of the areas of western US that this grandma has dreamed about my whole life. I pray for your Franks health & for your strength to deal with it. May God bless 🙏✌🌎💞
Really enjoyed hearing about the history of truck😊
Just luv u Amanda!! U go girl,,,,,
Your such a sweetie, your truck has been through a lot, but it’s where you want it, it’s a lovely truck, the colour is awesome, as it hides better in the forest areas where you go, it’s quite a Character, you have worked hard on it, so it will be there for you. Any news on Frank? Thank you for the video. Be safe both of you. 🤟🏼✌️💕💐❤️🌹🌷🌺🚐⛺️🛶🦮
You are indeed a strong, hard working woman. Hugs to Frank!
Nice overview of the evolution. We all love evolution.. and Frankie!
Great historical recount !
It's Your Cozy homestead !
Divine health to Frank ♥️

Awww frank snores! :) Love to see all the changes over time. Happy Anniversary!
Yippee, so glad to see your channel. Hello Frank and Amanda. Cheers to you both.💛☕️excited to see the journey.
You made a smart investment! Being able to work on your own engine these days is invaluable! I love my fancy car but I am at the mercy of the mechanics when something goes wrong!! Love your videos ❤️
I love the color, the shape/style, the set-up and so many other things about your van.

Loved this, walk down memory lane. It was fun. Amanda, you are amazing ...........
Frank,hang in there buddy. PEACE♡♡♡♡

Astonishing how far your Vanlife has come 🤩💫 Very appreciative for this video & sharing your journey!! Sending Aloha 🌴🌺
This is one of the best van build videos I have seen yet .
Good job .

Good job!
Thinking of you.
Amazing journey!
