My heart can’t hardly handle Frank all snuggled up in the sleeping bag! It’s so precious. I’m glad y’all were able to stay warm. I’m looking forward to hearing how life with dependable power is!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Man Amanda! Your perseverance in enduring the cold is amazing! Jacq (my GSD) and I were watching this and Jacq loves when he sees Frank. He barks out his hellos to his fellow canine! Beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing your story with us!!!!
One more thing. Thank you Amanda and Frank for making a positive impact on my life and I know for others too! I always love the Frank clips at the end.
Sometimes you just have to get comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable and simply embrace it. As you say, it's a good life skill. As always, really enjoyed the episode and have a wonderful week ahead Amanda. Cheers !
A week back to no heat sure gives perspective on how cold and humid it does get 😔 I'm impressed on how you've taken the challenge and remained calm and positive. You bring such positive, calming and renewing energy thank you. I most certainly appreciate, enjoy and in love with your new channel it is the best, helps my anxiety and depression. Morning Frank, from Charity and Tom. If you have a terracotta flower pot and you put a candle under it. It throws off a fare amount of heat. Have a great week. I love watching your channel and I also enjoy Flossies.I can relate to both you amazing strong woman.
Amanda, I worry about you and Frank in that cold, but I also recognize that you are acclimated to your environment. I am glad to hear that you're able to able to get the Truck fixed, or updated to give you heat. Be safe and be careful.
Bummer about no heat! But I love your attitude and your generosity in sharing your experience. Your tender and playful relationship with Frank inspires me to be more playful with our new dog. He’s a nervous guy and life needs to be gentle and fun at the same time.

I'm so glad I found your channel,it helps me so much,I think your the only real van lifer,iv watched others, but when times get ruff for them they run to home or friends homes to beat the heat or cold but not u your so strong and u really just make the best out of whatever life throws at ya .I think your great and best wishes for u and Frank ...looking forward to your next adventure
awwww Frank, so cozy in that sleeping bag. He had blinky blinky eyes, nighty night Frank. Waterfalls are not only mesmerizing but so good for the mind/soul
Fire is both the most amazing gift and the greatest devastator, right? Im really enjoying the ambient channel and even used one to help me settle in for sleep, after a truly stressful day. I highly recommend it. It seems such a long time of waiting for Frank’s test results. In the meantime, you are both in my prayers.
It looked like Frank was moving pretty well (and enjoying being out for a walk), even with his arthritis. Makes me wonder if the cold actually helps him. I would think the opposite would be true, but he looked pretty good here. Whatever the case, I’m glad you two have had lots of snuggle time. Frank’s nose poking out from under the sleeping bag is so cute. Take care, you two!
Ya I always hear of senior going to Arizona for winter to help their arthritis but he was so excited to be in the cold even before our heat stopped 🤷🏻♀️
That dog has the best life ever. :) I just can't deal with the cold, so more power to you for sleeping in that cold car, I'm impressed! And yay for veggie sausages!
Wow you two are having fun. That breakfast looks yummy. Frank I loved that bowtie you look so cute. Cold snow. Beautiful sun . Nice adventures you two are having. Beautiful Nature forest. Frank looks nice and warm in his sleeping bag. That Crane was telling Frank hey you underneath the sleeping bag. Living a happy life. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Keeping warm in autumn and winter is comforting, building fires, hot food and drinks, warm blankets. Our house is cold, I have thrifted several wool blankets and sweaters. It's nice to feel cosy and wrapped up. Hope you and Frank get your heating before the depths of winter arrive
I love watching your beautiful views. I'm loving your other channel tidelinetoalpine AMBIENCE. Frank under the sleeping bag is adorable. All the best to you and Sweet Frank.
Hi Amanda, beautiful views of the waterfalls and rivers, beautiful tall trees, love it, I feel so sad that you and Frank have no heating, I have no heating in my van, but then I don’t live in mine full-time. That fire you had was great, it certainly warmed me up just looking at it, but for you two it must have been a joyous moment. Thank you for another awesome video of you and Frank. You certainly are a joy to watch, all the best to you both. 🤟🏼✌️💕💕💐💐🌺🌺🌷🌷
I have a 15 years old REI Downtime 20 sleeping bag. I just bought a Kelty Cosmic down 40 for warmer weather (beside being $30). If it is really cold in the car I can double up my sleeping bags for more warmth. Frank is too precious for words burrowing into sleeping bag:)
I bought a Little Buddie Heater at Walmart to have for an emergency. It was 89.00.. If the power goes out it is totally worth it to be able to warm up.
Mr Buddy Heater(propane), vent window a little. It's something that would work. Hot, water bag/bottle to fill and put in your sleeping bag. Frank looks so handsome with his bow. Eating ❄️ so cute 🥰.Love the waterfalls 😍
I loved it when you got the fire going. You and Frank could live on a glacier I bet! So badass, but also the beauty of winter is just a quiet, meditative deep time to rest into. Thanks for being so friendly and slow and authentic
23 degrees the other night, same type of situation here in Washington State. Plenty of layer's and blankets you're already on the right track!. Stay safe, warn and blessed!.
Hi Amanda and Frank. Yourself and Handsome Frank always manage to make me smile like a Cheshire Cat. Big four-legged boys, love their mummy cuddles. Stunning scenery, thank you!
It's just so beautiful. I completely understand why you live this creative way of life, appreciate your sharing of experience, competency and relishing of nature. We are so lucky. Thank you Amanda and Frankalin.
You should mention your ambient channel more. I didn’t know you had one. I will look forward to more slow-moving sounds: streams etc. I like the rain one. 🌧🏞❤
The quality of your videos is amazing. You have progressed with every video. Hopefully you have stable power now. I have spent winter in my vehicle. I don't like it at all. I hope not to have to do it again. You are a veteran winter van dweller. Thanks for the video. Until next time as they say keep it between the ditches. Lol.
So wonderful to see all the love filled snuggles with Frank a d you. That is me and my Scrappy baby too. Your campsite and fire were awesome. Wishi g the very best news for you 2. Take care,be strong. PEACE
Great inspirational video. Reminding us we can endure some discomfort and in doing so makes us stronger. You are such a great mom to Frank; ALWAYS attending to his needs and snuggling together is the best! Loved his tie…looking his best whilst out for a walk😊. Take care❤
Great video, as always ☺ I'd like to give you a couple of warming tips for future. You can use a terracotta pot and the terracotta base w a candle lit, it puts off heat nicely. Also if you gathered some small stones and heat them in your camp fire, then place them in a metal pan w a lid, put it under your covers to warm the inside of the blankets. I lived off grid for 6mo and I did a lot of improvising ☺ Of course my 2 dogs was a great source if warmth as well. Take care ☮
If you would like to try this DIY heater it seems to work really well in small spaces as long as you put it in a spot like on a table away from anything that could catch fire. Just take a small empty paint can, you can buy them with with a sealable lid. Push down into the can a roll of toilet paper, preferably one that fits the can perfectly. Pour in a large bottle 70% alcohol. Isopropyl. Let it soak in really well and then simply light it with a lighter and it will burn for about 2 hours and throws off a lot of heat and will warm you right up. You just put the lid on and it extinguishes the flame to reuse and simply add more alcohol each time you use it. Use a coin to open the can again or a butter knife. Check the inside of the can regularly to make sure it is not degrading and if it is, just simply make a new one,. This really works well and is safe as long as you have it somewhere where it won't be disturbed. Consider it emergency heat.
Been following you for a while, and I think you make one of the best examples for nomadic life. But especially in this vis I was just thinking how lucky you and Frank are to have one another. Thanks for the soul medicine.
I use a beanie when it is very cold simply because we lose lots of heat from our heads plus I get an ear ache when ears are cold..I just love your Frank..caring for him must be a pleasure..
Hugs Amanda! if you are ever on VI and need to plug in IM a PM away. Lost my travel buddy last week and I'm lost. Glad our boy Frank is on the right side of the bridge!!
I'm so glad to hear your heat will be fixed. Lovely to see you and Frank just being so close even if it is so cold. His bow tie was adorable. That breakfast sounds so freaking good. Stay warm. Look forward to next video. Sending you both so much love from NashvilleTn.
Miss Amanda, you can get a small mini kerosene heater that would fit perfect in your van. It would keep you toasty and warm for at least 16 hours they sell them right on Amazon. They come in its own little package too it's own bag and stuff. All you would have to do is get a 5 gallon or even a one or three gallon gas can you could strap it to the top of your roof. I'm telling you these things keep you so toasty and warm. You might want to check it out on Amazon. It would last you at least a whole week worth if not more it doesn't require any electricity and it's safe. I've been using kerosene heaters for the past 35 years I've never had a problem. As long as we are cautious and we take the proper measurements there shouldn't be any problem and I know that you are responsible. They have the big kerosene heaters that are round but I'm not talking about that one there are smaller ones and they're like $69 and some of them are $170 I think that's just people being greedy but you can tell which ones are the smaller ones from the large ones. You could also keep very warm if you just have a metal cylinder like a utensil holder and a 6-in terracotta pot and you burn four tea light candles inside the metal it will keep your van nice and warm if it's 32° or more outside
Brr, thank you for sharing your life with us. Specially in the cold. Love your helpful hints. And Chrome may help you with your electric problem, you should get in touch with him. A small wood stove might work for you, maybe reach out for some info on this.stay safe and warm. God bless.
I love this one. Endurance is done in so many ways in our lives. Our lungs warming freezing temperatures breathing in are just one of the exhilarating ways to look at the freezing temperatures. Not negative but embracing them. Got a bit of a chuckle about the double spill of liquid gold in our warm beverages. Happen this morning to me, not my 1st time I'm guessing not my last. Hello Frank you are enjoying the brisk love of your travel partner in your life adventures. I'm praying positive vibration. May the information we all wait to know patiently; is that it isn't as bad as this waiting for the unknowing to be known has been. That all will be well with you Frankie and your veterinarian's knowledge will fix you up and keep you healthy and comfortable for a long time to come.💚💛

Luuuv the drone shots & pic of truck blending in with trees.

Amanda love your videos you are very inspiring love watching you and Frank interact you love him so much it is obvious. Take care and looking forward to your next video and praying that all is well with Frank for you!!
Here's a little trick I learned years ago about living in a van get you some Rain-X anti condensation in fog solution any parts store or online thoroughly clean all your inside windows windshield side windows what's the thirdly clean apply this on there and you won't have no more condensation fog for anything your glass will stay crystal clear and ice free I've been doing this for well over 25 years like that
Cold and wet together is bad. When your condensation freezes on the inside you can at least scrape it off and remove from the van/RV. I use a large syringe with a plastic fuel line tube and a squeegee when the condensation is still liquid on the windows to remove it because there’s little channels at the bottom of our 5th wheel’s windows, and I can squirt the moisture outside… the diesel heaters are a lifesaver!
My heart can’t hardly handle Frank all snuggled up in the sleeping bag! It’s so precious. I’m glad y’all were able to stay warm. I’m looking forward to hearing how life with dependable power is!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I think it will be a major game changer 🤩

Here's a little trick I learned years ago about living in a van get you some Rain-X anti condensation in fog solution any parts store or online thoroughly clean all your inside windows windshield side windows what's the thirdly clean apply this on there and you won't have no more condensation fog for anything your glass will stay crystal clear and ice free I've been doing this for well over 25 years like that
Wow beautiful water falls. Thanks for sharing that
You make the best fires! Sending good vibes to you and Frank. ✌️
Thank you!! I take great pride in my fire skills 😃
You make awesome videos Amanda.
