Thanks to DNA testing I found out I have a half-sister that was adopted shortly after birth. My father didn't know about her, no one in my family did until last year.
It’s very common a lot of people have Jewish ancestry and don’t know it or other ancestry and have no idea eg Jews after the war left the faith and just became American when they went to live in other parts of the world and hid that fact so now people are finding out their roots/routes via dna 🧬
Wow guys i am feeling really glad about your results because i am from Romania and I really love you and your family. Also I would be very happy if you guys decide to visit Romania, it is a beautiful country. Happy New Year!
Nia, that is such an exciting background! I grew up in Odessa, Ukraine as a missionary kid and it is such a beautiful culture and country. Welcome to the family
My daughter took a DNA test from ancestry DNA to see her heritage instead she found out I had a whole different biological father and 2 sisters I knew nothing about to say the least my life was turned upside down and will never be the same again!! Thankfully I grew up with the best father anyone could ever have and I would never trade him for the world !!! but at least now I know the truth and I have new family members I have become close with♥️
I have Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity the most and I live in Slovakia. Ashkenazi Jewish people are middle and west Europe Jews that came from area of today's Israel to those countries like Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, German, French, Netherlands, Belgium and so on... You should come here to visit us we would show you everything interesting 😊😉❤️
I did the 23&me dna test a couple months ago and I think its better than the MyHereitage one because the 23&me one give you specific countries and sometimes towns in those countries.
I did the Ancestry one and linked it to my heritage, and a few others , I'll be getting 23andme as well and will link them to the same sites as Ancestry I've confirmed my family really is my family sadly...
Jewish is great. I've always kidded my husband about wearing a kilt and he says no way. My daughter did her DNA and she's 43 percent Scottish. 😂 Happy New Year 🎉🎉❤️
Get the kilt! As a Scot you should let your daughter and yourself feel pride of the scottish heritage you have because it says a lot about who you are as well as those from the past who made you who you are to this day! Gowan ye wee bonnie Lass
My favorite are the people who think they have American Indian in them and have been told that their whole lives and turns out they have zero American Indian. 🤣

My dad and I have done our DNA with Ancestry and my brother did his with 23andme. We all uploaded our DNA to Myheritage and Ftdna. I am the family historian per say so I have done a family tree and have placed DNA matches into my family tree. I also found some interesting stuff out, I found my maternal grandfather's family and I was able to get a hold of a Great-Aunt who sent me photos of my Grandfather as I never met my grandfather as he died way before i was born.
That's so interesting! My husband and I both took an ancestry DNA test and both of ours was a surprise. I always thought I was mostly native American and come to find out I'm mostly Irish and my husband was always told he was mostly Polynesian and come to find out he's mostly European.
As I understand it, the Ashkenazi Jewish people left the Middle East around 600 years after Christ. They migrated across eastern Europe, ending up mostly in Hungary, Poland, etc. Many had red hair, and many were lactose intolerant. I discovered I am part of this ethnicity.
I would love to know more about my family and see where in Ireland they come from, I know tiny bits, it wasn’t really spoken about, I would also love to know about my own DNA to me it’s fascinating. My dad got his parents DNA kits from Ancestry, and his dad is 100% Irish and then is mum is adopted, she found out she’s English, Norwegian and European Jewish and possibly a few others, but the European Jewish part was really interesting and didn’t expect that one at all. My own mums sister did it also and also got 100% Irish meaning my mum and uncle would have the same results. But hearing this I’m now intrigued to know what I am. Mums very proud of her Irish heritage, so giving her daughter an Irish name was part of it lol All the best Siobhán Boyle
In Spain we have a really big influence of Ashkenazi and Sefardí jews that lived a lot of centuries in Spain so probably your family were Ashkenazi jews that lived in Spain or most likely that converted to Catholicism in order to not get expelled from Spain because the Spanish kings decided in 1492 to expell all the jews from Spain. Or maybe they moved to Spain more recently than that. Anyway probably your Spanish part of your family are the jews ones.
I did my AncestryDNA last year I fount my dad and fount out I have a brother and a sister I have England & northwestern Europe (Devon & Cornwall, England) 24% Germanic Europe 18% Eastern Europe & Russia 11% Ireland 11% Wales 10% Norway 9% Sweden & Denmark 7% Scotland 6% Baltics 4%
Myheritage isn't that good but it's not bad enough to misread Jewish as Spanish and she does look pretty Jewish to me. I wouldn't say every result was accurate on here but it does give you a decent amount of accuracy.
48% is a significant percentage. That means either your father was most likely fully Jewish or both parents had a Jewish parent. You state that your mother was Spanish. If so, there's a slight chance that she comes from conversos. If your mother's mother was Jewish then that means you are Jewish. Of course, you'll have to do more research.
I am Romanian. You would like to see Romania. I was surprised to see Romania, too because lots of Jewish people where taken from Romania during Hitler time.
People after the flood we all came from Noah who landed on Mount Ararat which is by Armenia Russia turkey you name it the Turks of the Russians took the Armenians land where Mount Ararat is over there we all came from the same area because that's where Noah and his family landed read your Bible
Ashkenazi Jewish is separate from Ukrainian and Romanian etc. The map just shows where those populations lived for a long time. Ashkenazi Jewish just means you descend from Jews that lived in those areas.
Ashkenazi Jewish dna is Eastern European dna 🧬… many people think it’s from the levant… it’s not … you have a lot of places to visit … I’m trying to visit the places in my dna results… I have always had an affinity to certain places foods and cultures and my dna the explains why 🎉 I just love Scandinavia and have already been to Iceland 🇮🇸 ❤
It's actually distinctive. It is Jewish that have lived long term in Europe but they still have a lot of Middle Eastern origins and that is why they cluster between Sicilians and Middle Eastern populations. They of course have some European mixture which is why they don't cluster with Middle Eastern populations due to this European admixture which is mostly Northern Italian picked up when they moved to Europe. They have kept their unique genetics due to mostly mixing with other Ashkenazi Jews which is why it is easy to identify them genetically.
If you go to Romania, that would be cool! You might as well briefly visit Bulgaria, if you feel overly adventurous XD. Actually make all-around trip across Europe!
Check the situation in the countries before going if you really are considering it. For example Ukraine has a conflict with Russia and there is almost a war situation

Had a couple friends do the 23 and me test…they are identical twins. Both are adults and both are married so they have different last names. When they got their results the results were not the same, mind you identical twins, and were nowhere near correct. They contacted the company and after several representatives who were basically speechless, the best answer they got was “Um”, a supervisor finally said they “not only use the dna but also the persons last name (surname) to determine their results” one sister asked “so you don’t take into consideration that we are married and the surname is our spouses name not ours?” The supervisor at that point was speechless. Don’t always take these tests seriously.
@@riverthoughts2400 They were very surprised by the results. They are planning on taking other at home DNA tests from other companies when they are financially able. Some of the tests are quite expensive, the 23andMe test was $199 for the Ancestry and Health test. They are curious to see if they will each get differing reports from other companies since they are identical twins and they are also interested in seeing if the results will show any of the same ancestry regional areas that the 23andMe report showed.

Hello guys
Hi
Spanish is a language not an ethnicity.
Why does this video look so old
There were a lot of Jews in Spain in Renaissance times. Jews were persecuted during the inquisition, do they may have hid that information.
They was dropped off into west africa read historical books on the moors of spain and Hebrew who lived in spain/portugal that got transport to africa
Ancestry never did that!! I had tospit in a bloody vile lol.
