    Whitney! I love you guys! You are just like I was a few months ago (little guy is 3 months now) but I was SOOOO prego brain when I was building. I built him a side-car co sleeper bed at 38 weeks pregnant and If I had to talk my way through a video I would have strangled myself. GOOD JOB girls I love your work! Keep it up and Ash don't forget to give her a break for a bit with that baby. God bless!

    Crazy to know that no with lumber prices this table will cost over $160. 2x4's in my area are about $9.50 a piece. Hope things go back to the way they were so you girls can bring back these types of video because they are affordable and achievable for anyone

    $60 before this inflation 😂. I love it though. Thinking about going to get some wood and build one. Few years back built some patio chairs and EVERYONE keeps asking me where I bought them, then I tell them I built them, and then they ask me to build them a set 😂. But I seriously do want to give this table a go. I have an empty spot on our patio that needs something.

    2:09 For noobs like myself, I would strongly recommend not putting your fingers on the seems before screwing them in. Worst case scenario, you could rip a chunk of flesh from your digits. Proactive injury prevention is always best in these scenarios. By the way, great work on that table! For the amount of time and money spent, it looks amazing and even sturdy enough for a whole family to sit on top to eat on! :D

    Love the simple design. I'm thinking about a table for 10. My top probably needs to be 42 x 96. Do you think the trestle needs to be modified for that size? I would like to seat 2 people on the short ends of the table.
    It looks like you could use 4 x 4's for the legs just to give it a "beefier" look.
    Also, do you think you could attach the top using dowels glued only into the support boards so that the top could be removed and replaced for easier moving? Or should the glued dowels go on the tabletop side?

    Great design. It works. I made it using pressure treated wood. Its the first time ever that I've handled a circular saw. What angle do you cut the diagonal pieces? Its certainly not 45. Looks more like 30. Or how do you work out the angle?

    This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

    Hi girls, I love this table even more than the other one you made, however I am in need of an OVAL table, there are literally almost 0 DYI's videos on this table shape. They are so trendy and save lots of space when you have a banquet space in your kitchen. It's important to have plenty leg space that is why a 1 center base stand piece will be GREAT! or perhaps two base stand pieces so the edges are free and open. I know it could be a big Challenge but I know you can do it!! Thank you!! Ray.

    I couldn't find any straight 2x4's, so I'm thinking of 5/4 Deck Boards. Do you think they would look OK?

    • @timh1187
      @timh1187 4 роки тому

      You can use deck boards but the rounded edges will need to be trimmed. Which is what you should do with the 2x4s any way. Honestly this is a cheap way to build a table but by no means is this the right way. This is a good from a far but far from good situation.

    Hi ladies, one of the measurements on the plans do not make sense to me. It’s the breadboards’s cut measurement- when you lay down 10 of the 2 by 4’s it becomes 40 , on the plans it has 35. I would like to build the table and I might have the boards precut at the store so that they can fit in my car. I love the step by step guide and I am a beginner, so I hope it turns out well. I will add some extra length so that I can cut it at home after I lay them together but the 35 doesn’t make sense to me, please elaborate.

      Niki Bahanova hey there! The lumber that we build with (and what you are purchasing from the hardware store) is dimensional lumber. A 1x4 is not actually 4” wide it is 3.5” wide. All of the boards are less wide than they are called but the best way to get a perfect fit is to attach all of the planks and then measure an exact cut for your breadboard. Hope this helps and good luck 😀

      2x4's are actually 3.5 inches, hence 2x4's (10) 35" wide
